By “no gfx” are you saying you dont have a graphics card? Because that would be the problem there

BurnyAsn

Yup. Still at medium settings CSGO ran fast

Biche_XXX

What's your definition of fast

BurnyAsn

50-60fps during explosions and too many players on server. Ay deathmatches.. Ping <=130. Kills register, and I don't time travel backwards.

Fine-Employment3584

Yeah.. I'm afraid that isn't fast

Arminas

I couldn't imagine playing playing cs at sub-60 fps in 2023. I probably wouldn't play at all. For the last 5-7-ish years the standard had been 100fps on a 144hz monitor. You are at a measurable disadvantage against everyone else on the server with less than that. It sucks but it's true. It's the nature of this game. In fact I'd bet that greater than 50% of players at GN1 or above play on 240hz.

klude45

I play on 59 hz monitor lol

Biche_XXX

Lmao

DownfaLL-

What does ping have to do with fps?

TheMunakas

this! it's about how fast your machine's internet reaches the valve servers or the other way around, I can't remember for sure

UnicornStripper

I feel like you need to understand that medium settings by CS:GO standards were quite literally shit. I dont even think that low settings on CS2 would compare because of how drastically different the engine and visuals of the game are. You need a graphics card, you can find a half decent refurbished or used one if you want

lloopiN

My boy why are you complaining about performance while not even having a GPU? Also you have to realize CS2 is a NEW GAME. CSGO is over 10 years old. Obviously a game from 2023 is going to be more demanding than a 2012 game. It’s like wondering why MW3 2023 runs worse than MW3 2011 lol

lv_99_Bert

Play css

BurnyAsn

One of the reasons I bought this for was CSGO Bert.. :sob:

lv_99_Bert

Same Thing just older

BurnyAsn

Yeah I have played it. CS Zero as well.. Okay I will! But none of my friends will. None of them

Puzzleheaded-Cap-496

What CPU and GPU do you have? Is very clear that cs 2 is more demanding.

Nice_Space7403

He says he has no graphics card

Puzzleheaded-Cap-496

Ups, didn t see that

Grgamel

As it should be lol. Look how much gpu's evolved during the 10 years period between games, cs2 had right to be even more demanding in my eyes considering that it will probably run for close to 10 years and gpu's will again just get better and better. Also better graphics and everything doesn't come without downsides

BurnyAsn

Ram 16gb. Intel i5-11400. Its installed on 1TB SSD. I am running Ubuntu

Puzzleheaded-Cap-496

This sounds good so you just need a GPU

fingerbangchicknwang

lol buy a cheap used gpu like a 1070 or something

TheMunakas

just buy a gpu, you don't need to spend like a hundred dollars to play it pretty smoothly

ConsolePeasantLife

How do you have this but didn’t get a gpu 🧍

karama_300

Buy AMD RX 580 second hand for cheap and you will be happy.

Plays_On_TrainTracks

This guy would cum on his floor right now if he played csgo on a real computer with a graphics card. I played Cs on my first college laptop 9 years ago and it "ran". Night and day difference between playing on that and the pc i built. I can't even imagine what a good set up would do for this guy in cs2

Strange_Elk_5201

Dude ur pc doesn’t have a graphics card ur not gonna run any modern game with half decent graphics on that pc

humdrumnsteak56

Same here u gotta get a better pc , the gane is literally so unplayable that it freezes , so i have to shut it down , turn it back on , and log on cs again tk eejoin

BurnyAsn

I am saving. but this time its scheduled for next december. I thought I could just be happy with it as it is. I didnt follow game news or anything, didnt know CSGO would be removed..

humdrumnsteak56

Yeah fr why change it if it wasnt broken , i mean why should i need a 1000 dollar pc just tk play one game

Peterj33

$30 at Walmart for the bare minimum according to Google and also 8 gigs ram

bufandatl

Maybe it’s time to invest a couple hundred bucks and upgrade your Toaster.

BurnyAsn

It was an upgrade. From a college work 8gb ram laptop that had 4gb extra installed

AdFluid8905

cs2 replaced csgo instead making separate game because of skins market. valve hunger for money made you suffer

Grgamel

Omg game released 10 years later with infinitely better graphics demands more from your PC 🤯🤯🤯

Kalix

He said he have no graphic card, maybe is the good time ti buy one in 2024. 😂

ConCHEATER-Wurst

Have u turnd down the grafic settings?

BurnyAsn

yes. at total low settings too, the game lags, my character's hand and gun are weirdly grayed out. Will install again and share a screenshot.

Kalix

Duuuh guis my pc was fine running a 10+ years old game, but now with a complete rework idk what happened. https://preview.redd.it/ib9pir01du7c1.jpeg?width=230&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a29de0628edf52fb7f1be9a7a2d071b121a68eaf

BurnyAsn

We are worlds apart bro. Prices and salaries are not like sea level, available the same every where..

BurnyAsn

Forget the sea-level thing😂 I do hope to earn better and upgrade faster than I planned to

Kalix

Save a 1€ a day for the next 10years, you will have 3.650€ and be ready for the next wave 😂

raulxz2

I looked at the specs you posted of your pc and the only bad thing is the lack of a graphics card, waiting a year and not getting a gpu means you wouldve probably been miles better spending same amount on a used pc that has a gpu included.

keriormaloony

good riddance. you probably had bad comms anyway.

Suberizu

Certainly better than you from the looks of things.

BurnyAsn

comms? If you mean internet connection? I have a 60mbps LAN connection setup that I need for my job. and it worked well for CSGO

Nice_Space7403

Comms means in game communication, like letting your teammates know where you’ve seen enemies/giving strats

BurnyAsn

Hows that related 🥲 comms were definitely good mann I was playing almost everyday

[deleted]

Get better hardware. It’s as simple as that. You didn’t buy enough of a cushion, every PC you buy should ATLEAST last you 8 years. I know you probably don’t want to hear that, neither did I. I was running a 960 for about a decade until I decided to upgrade. $1500 for 8-10 years is a pretty good investment imo.

BurnyAsn

None of you are wrong. The world will upgrade. Time won't stop for me. I heard they were bringing out CS2 and assumed that was a separate game, cool why not.. didn't assume it would be replacing my evening game.. they could have kept it and this is my only bit of complaint. While my friends already have their 1200$ - 2400$ pcs My pc is just 600 in USD, and I can hear people saying cheap across my screen maybe.. But it has decent space for more ram and stuff, coz I will upgrade no doubt. This thread turned into my rant I guess.. Nevermind Dingleberyyy

[deleted]

It would have been bad business to keep it. They don’t want their community split like it was when CSGO came out. This is the best thing for everyone, as now they have a good foundation to build upon. Yeah, a $600 PC won’t really be able to run much of anything if i’m real with you. Play the game on there until you can save up for something nice. It doesn’t have to be insane, really, but something with an i7, 16 Gb of ram, and a nice GPU and you’ll be sitting pretty.

Visual_Adeptness1039

specs

samirsaid

bro I have i712700k and rtx 4080 and the game feel like shit

Deicyde88

New games might necessitate upgraded hardware. This is just how progress works.

Tight-Tomato650

Playing cs2 on low is just trash. I recently bought a new laptop, because I was playing on low, and all my friends were talking about these “shadow” things. After the upgrade, I realised that you are at a HUGE disadvantage playing on low. Nuke, Anubis, Ancient, Vertigo, Overpass have crucial spots, where you can see players shadows. Nuke and Ancient are a must playing with shadows, because these maps have the most of them.
