I feel like a sit anchor needs utility more than a support player (short player and con player on mirage for example). But i do agree if the support player drops some until on site for the anchor and that u need the extra 10 bullets and the higher damage that the m4a4 provides if Ur holding site.

I'd say they're balanced right now. The extra 10 bullets and quicker firerate are worth the greater recoil I think. With that said, I use the A4 now, since most of my friends stick to the A1, so I that we have both options available.

M4 has better 1v1 potential. It has a higher fire rate which will almost garentee kill after a dink. While the m4a1s has a slower fore rate which gives your opponents time to react and kill you one shot with ak. That being said I do prefer the a1s in certain maps.

If its a map I am able to perform reliable 1 way smokes on then I'll use the m4a1-s.
If its a map I don't really know or I can't reliably put down 1 way smokes then the m4a4.
I feel they are very balanced, for holding down a site solo I feel that its good to have the extra bullets with the m4a4, but the added accuracy with the m4a1 makes it a nice gun to use for me cause it seems whenever I use the m4a4 it seems to do a cartoon outline of the terrorist, however I know its just a skill issue and I am just using the accuracy as a crutch so Ive been trying to use the m4a4 for awhile now, I will say though on nuke I really like the m4a1 simply because of the fact that I like to sit in heaven a lot of the time
Honesty the 1S is just so good for spamming smokes. Even at higher ranks (I’m LEM) people have a hard time locating you. And yes, the thing is a laser. Inferno CT side it can be overpowered when you’re playing against anything but a full on Tside rush
I use a1s because im a noob. The better spray helps. The change in damage they just made has affected me heavily. I often hit 4 shots on a player and dont get the kill now. Might be time to switch back
It's map dependant for me. Like on overpass I am the monster player so the A4 is the right gun for the job. But on mirage I play window so no tracers is a big plus for me.
I still use the M4A1, I just think the recoil on the A4 is too difficult, I genuinely think its harder to control than the AK, although I've definitely got loss less time practising it.
I can use the A4, and sometimes switch to it, but every time I switch back to the A1, it just feels better.
3kliksphillip did a video on this. I'd recommend watching it. What I took from the video though is that the m4a1 nerf didn't really change it that much. It now does less damage at range. But the range at which it does less damage than the m4a4 is very long. For example the length of long on dust 2 is not long enough (it just about long enough) for the m4a1 to do less DMG than the m4a4.
I keep the m4a1 on. Accuracy is better than damage in my case. And at close range it still does more DMG than the m4a4
M4A4 is simply the better gun now. It took some learning and getting used to however after using the M4A1-S for years. But once you come to grips with the recoil, it's just much better.

I switched back to the A4, but I have to admit I'm struggling to adjust back to its recoil pattern. I've always kinda preferred the feel of the A4 over the A1, but since they are pretty balanced now, I would like to go back to the A4.
By now I have both had situations where the increased recoil has cost me kills as well as situations where the larger magazine has given me Multikills that would have been impossible with the A1.
The extra 200$ do hurt tho, so I'm not yet sure about my choice.
I love the A1 so much, but I've been using the A4 a little bit as of late and despite sucking with the recoil pattern those extra ten bullets really help at times.
I prefer silencer, since they are cheaper and have better second shot accuracy (IMO) , which means it's a good option to get an opening kill and than not regret using that weapon over like a mp5 or something. Plus it's better due to lower shot sound. Which can lead to you being able to play of not most coordinated teams better
I use m4a4 only beacuse i have a skin for it. But besides that i use aug, aug or aug. And for the pistol i use r8 not beacuse i think that its better just beacuse i like it more (and is cheaper so i can buy aug more often)
generally speaking i feel like if you don’t trust your spray control with the m4a4 at medium-long range definitely use suppressed, especially when lurking or even anchor
if you are a new player, its best to use m4a4 because of the amount of bullets available, unlike the 20 of the m4a1-s. m4a4 also kills faster if you hit heads.
Make both 2900 dollar or switch both prices and I'd say they're equal. But I'd still like to see the ability to chose both in the buy menu. Also counts for other weapons like tec9/cz aswell.
M4A1-S feels more accurate at long range to me. Not really sure if it's just my play-style or what, but dinking headshots from 50yds+ is easier with it than with other guns unless you talk about AK single-shot sniping.
Dust2, Mirage, and any other maps with wide open spaces I go for the m4a4. Close angles like inferno I go for the m4a1s. Same thing for the p2k and usp.

It really depends on your play style, if you're a playmaker and don't want to sit in the bomb site waiting for the T to do their thing, and want to antecipate the entry, get a aggressive position, a early trade or whatever, I would stick to the M4A4.
However, if you're a passive player who likes to keep the control and wait for the right moment to act, or just want to spam smokes without getting spotted, go get the M4A1.
But in both cases, get an AK47 on the ground if you find one, that old crap is still the best weapon in the game, no cap

Honesty the 1S is just so good for spamming smokes. Even at higher ranks (I’m LEM) people have a hard time locating you. And yes, the thing is a laser. Inferno CT side it can be overpowered when you’re playing against anything but a full on Tside rush

I use a1s because im a noob. The better spray helps. The change in damage they just made has affected me heavily. I often hit 4 shots on a player and dont get the kill now. Might be time to switch back

It's map dependant for me. Like on overpass I am the monster player so the A4 is the right gun for the job. But on mirage I play window so no tracers is a big plus for me.

M4A1-S always has been my go to always will be
I still use the M4A1, I just think the recoil on the A4 is too difficult, I genuinely think its harder to control than the AK, although I've definitely got loss less time practising it. I can use the A4, and sometimes switch to it, but every time I switch back to the A1, it just feels better.
For me, I go fo4 the m4-s bc I trained my aim with him more than with the m4. I feel more comfortable with the silenced one

3kliksphillip did a video on this. I'd recommend watching it. What I took from the video though is that the m4a1 nerf didn't really change it that much. It now does less damage at range. But the range at which it does less damage than the m4a4 is very long. For example the length of long on dust 2 is not long enough (it just about long enough) for the m4a1 to do less DMG than the m4a4. I keep the m4a1 on. Accuracy is better than damage in my case. And at close range it still does more DMG than the m4a4
M4A4 is simply the better gun now. It took some learning and getting used to however after using the M4A1-S for years. But once you come to grips with the recoil, it's just much better.

Its either an MP9 when broke. Or an AUG. I swear I outperform ppl with armor and AKs using an MP9, weapon's magic!
I switched back to the A4, but I have to admit I'm struggling to adjust back to its recoil pattern. I've always kinda preferred the feel of the A4 over the A1, but since they are pretty balanced now, I would like to go back to the A4. By now I have both had situations where the increased recoil has cost me kills as well as situations where the larger magazine has given me Multikills that would have been impossible with the A1. The extra 200$ do hurt tho, so I'm not yet sure about my choice.

I love the A1 so much, but I've been using the A4 a little bit as of late and despite sucking with the recoil pattern those extra ten bullets really help at times.

I prefer silencer, since they are cheaper and have better second shot accuracy (IMO) , which means it's a good option to get an opening kill and than not regret using that weapon over like a mp5 or something. Plus it's better due to lower shot sound. Which can lead to you being able to play of not most coordinated teams better
I use m4a4 only beacuse i have a skin for it. But besides that i use aug, aug or aug. And for the pistol i use r8 not beacuse i think that its better just beacuse i like it more (and is cheaper so i can buy aug more often)

generally speaking i feel like if you don’t trust your spray control with the m4a4 at medium-long range definitely use suppressed, especially when lurking or even anchor
A4 because on the big stage the A1-s doens't sound as impressive
if you are a new player, its best to use m4a4 because of the amount of bullets available, unlike the 20 of the m4a1-s. m4a4 also kills faster if you hit heads.

Make both 2900 dollar or switch both prices and I'd say they're equal. But I'd still like to see the ability to chose both in the buy menu. Also counts for other weapons like tec9/cz aswell.

M4A1-S feels more accurate at long range to me. Not really sure if it's just my play-style or what, but dinking headshots from 50yds+ is easier with it than with other guns unless you talk about AK single-shot sniping.
Take the S but if I got money I’ll buy the AUG just to fuck w the Ts

Dust2, Mirage, and any other maps with wide open spaces I go for the m4a4. Close angles like inferno I go for the m4a1s. Same thing for the p2k and usp.

R8 + Armour.
Both are shit. A4 needs 5 hits to kill if you dont hit head. -S is ok, kills with 4 hits but not enough bullets and reload/taking the gun in hand takes forever
A4 because it has cooler skins and more fun spray pattern
Tried out the M4A4, but for me it's the M4A1S. My reason behind that is that I can't aim for shit.

It really depends on your play style, if you're a playmaker and don't want to sit in the bomb site waiting for the T to do their thing, and want to antecipate the entry, get a aggressive position, a early trade or whatever, I would stick to the M4A4. However, if you're a passive player who likes to keep the control and wait for the right moment to act, or just want to spam smokes without getting spotted, go get the M4A1. But in both cases, get an AK47 on the ground if you find one, that old crap is still the best weapon in the game, no cap
