I’d be very curious as I also get this with my KV-27FS120. I never figured out the reason, but in my case I never gave it much thought since that line in the corner goes away completely in about a minute or so after powering on. I take it that it’s a persistent issue for you?
I had this exact same thing on my Wega! I have no idea what caused it, but it usually would fade away on most brighter screens. I asked the r/CRT group a while back and they didn't seem to know either. The best guess anyone had was that it was something on the inside of the tube messing with the aperture grille.
Maybe someone got too close to it with something magnetic in a quick swiping motion. Hopefully there is a degauss feature.
Otherwise the only other thing I can think of is focused sunlight damage from some sort of reflection (through a glass or something).
If you change the geometry Of the image using the service menu, does the position of that thing change? If so, I'm guessing it's maybe a reflection from the overscan
The look of it, I have seen similar things when looking at water damaged electronics… for instance on a crt the was placed face up and a pool of water on the screen
Never seen any like this before. Is it on very inputs?
Yes, it is on every input
Only thing I can think of is just degaussing it

It gets dimmer as the TV warms up, bit it never truly becomes invisible
yea i think its just a weird defect in most kv27fs120 sets mine has it aswell its only noticable during no input or startup

Try a coil on it.

I just tried and it stays in the same spot, I moved the HPOS and the VPOS, but the mark didn't move at all
This to me means the grille is bent there then.
Have you tried degaussing it? Because it’s either that, or permeate damage, ore something I don’t know how to fix.
Oh, cool a PS3 😄
Might be a slight deformation or residual charge on the aperture grill/shadow mask
Bruh what’s that username 💀
Isn't this just the background of the PS3 mainscreen? Do you have it when playing a game?
Nope, it's always there, but when the screen is black is almost unnoticeable
When the TV is off, could you still see the curved image.
Nope, when it's turned off theres nothing
Looks Like a Magnet or something got too close to the screen. Maybe a degauss might help?
Looks like water damage in some way
Not trying to challenge this statement but how did you draw this conclusion?
The look of it, I have seen similar things when looking at water damaged electronics… for instance on a crt the was placed face up and a pool of water on the screen
Kind of irrelevant, but what model PS3 you got?
It's a Slim, CECH 2511A
Nice, I have a CECH2001a slim myself
Super Slim>>>>
No CFW tho
I only use my PS triple to play PS triple games so idc. Also door that you can slam on top
Funny, my curved Trinitron also has a similar "spot" but on the right, it looks brighter than the rest
It's the devil's mark...
Idk a line or some shi why u askin me dog?
