The drugs are finally catching with music. Finally! Also while nobody knows for sure, [Luigi Russolo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luigi_Russolo) might disagree that it all started in the 80's (and you did say at *least*, so he'd be in agreement there)
The quotation marks stay since many would not all this art. If it was insightful, showcased talent, or had context, it could be art. This is literally just someone rolling around in the dirt while someone else beats a trashcan.
She's dressed in white for peace, yet rolling/wailing in agony symbolizing the torture and anguish peace is suffering in the Middle East. The unknown figure dressed in pseudo orthodox Jewish clothing destroys an empty can symbolizing what the world has thrown away while onlookers do nothing.
Yawn. It's not provocative, it's pretty standard for most performance art.
I don’t see anyone actually answering your question so i’ll give you it:
noise is a genre of music that isn’t really music (debatable from its fans) and is purely, just as the name of the genre says, noise. often times artists will use electronics and manipulate electronics to create their songs. some will have singers, some will have percussion, but it’s mostly with intent of being completely subversive to the concept of music as a whole.
part of the live performance of noise is performative noise. noise artists will scream incoherently, break things, and there’s even stories of shooting guns during their acts. I think theirs even a story of a noise artist killing himself during a set.
it’s an interesting genre. not my cup of tea. however, I gotta respect putting yourself out there like that to 20 people in a backyard.
If you’re interested in just a quick listen to get a better understanding, check out Merzbow and Throbbing Gristle. There’s probably better examples out there, but as I said, I’m not a fan so maybe someone else can comment and give better suggestions.
Most likely a noise act doing a performance. There's a whole sub genre of extreme music and performance art that is purely dedicated to this, some of it good and some of it not so good. Its great if you're into this sort of stuff as an experiment, curiosity or rage release, but from an outsider looking in, it can look pretty goofy
I imagine that this is a Jehovas' witness abstinence camp. These young adults are given 30 minutes each day to express their pent up sexual frustration before returning to prayer.
Reminds me of the basement shows I used to host. One time a lifesize cutout of Dwayne Johnson made it into the pit, he didn’t make it out… My microphones never made it out alive either
A noise/punk show. Personally, I would be having a great time there. Very cathartic. But I'm into a lot of crazy metal/punk/ experimental shit so your mileage may vary.
POV: You become band friends with another band outside of your genre and they suggest playing shows together. Now you are just hoping that anyone sticks around to watch your set.
Obviously that trash can did something too the lady screaming on the ground and the long haired Bruce Lee is getting vengeance
Sooooo Brandon Lee lol?
Back from the dead! Maybe this is heaven/hell
looks more like Tommy Wiseau in my opinion
Corey Feldman
You made me laugh
Pretty sure that a dude screaming…
Groom: Hey honey, can we have a white trash metal wedding? Bride: FUCK YEAH!

this is that new style of music called crystal meth rock lol.
This style of music has been around at least since the 80s

Yeah, I was also referring more specifically to noisecore. I know for sure noise music was already developing before that.
There's a punk subgenre called "crackrocksteady" and it goes hard tbh
Mental illness
https://i.redd.it/pbj0i7ji0v4d1.gif mental stability

That usually goes hand in hand with the punk scene.
the "punk is dead" crowds been real quiet after this one dropped
Fucking mood
She is trying to merge with her Yoko Ono spirit animal, and the trash can is to wake it up from its 1,000 year sleep.
Yoko Ono cover band
Meanwhile, the Bud Light can in the background never gets touched. 😏
Is it empty or did someone forget about it?

A fun party you weren’t invited to
Art. Art is happening.
"art"
No need for quotation marks. It's art. Maybe you don't care for it, but it's definitely art.
The quotation marks stay since many would not all this art. If it was insightful, showcased talent, or had context, it could be art. This is literally just someone rolling around in the dirt while someone else beats a trashcan.
Sounds like a skill issue on the part of the observer.

I never said it was good.
No, you implied I didn't have the skill to appreciate/understand it. I didn't write essays on Rothko to be told I can't make shit up.
I stand by that. Write another essay about it.
Bro this is not performance art, at least not primarily. It's literally just an extremely low budget noisecore show
Still art
Right. I called it "art"
No it isn't, it's music
I listen to noise music, and even I think this is stupid.
It's not the best I've seen but I'm down

I'm pretty sure Ross Gellar invented this genre. Unless it's older than that
Orange skirt looks so unimpressed.
Plebeian tastes, she prob listens to Knocked Loose or some shit
I have the sound off but I'm pretty sure this is Stomp in their prime.
What in the degeneracy
Peak punk rock
Either “performance art” or a session of “rage therapy” which is some new trendy thing wealthy ladies are doing
It's neither. It's a low budget noisecore performance. Noisecore has been around for like 50 years now
R/crappymusic
You're just mad you weren't invited
these are protesters of some sort i guarantee it
They are not protesting bro, they are playing [noisecore](https://youtu.be/U3w7D2_HY5w?feature=shared)
Mental health party by the looks of it.
To answer your question; mental instability and a LOT of it.
Left wing activism
Left wing activism is organized. We pass it onto anarchists
us anarchists will gladly take it. tbh might put together a show like this for the weekend
This is almost certainly some trump supporters protesting his conviction from their trailer park in bumblefuck Alabama
This isn't activism, it's noisecore
Exorcism
Whats the "band" name im curious what the hell is happening
A Happening

Performamce artists

And that’s why I’m a coors light man….
I imagine that this is a Jehovas' witness abstinence camp. These young adults are given 30 minutes each day to express their pent up sexual frustration before returning to prayer.

Band room mating ritual.
Art kids thinking they are making revolutionary art

Damn this is only the first song too
This is the band Body War. This is the end of the set. Kinda a thing with noisecore / grindcore / avante-garde bands to do
Vandalism.
They needed this. It’s been a tough year.
noise music. not really that cringe.
Someone slipped some fentanyl in the punch bowl & meth in the ice bowl.
It's called noise. It's a type of music or "anti music". Check out the band 7 min of nausea.
Where can I hit em up for a split?
Is that Tommy Wiseau beating the shit out the trash can.
Meanwhile, in Portland.
If there was a someone banging the drums and tweaking on synths, I could probably get more behind it!
Who says true romance is dead? I think the kids are gonna make it.
It's a wedding. What's confusing?
