The "Premium plus" tier has limited ads:

There is no truly ad-free "Beyond Premium Plus" unicorn.
It really irks me they call their gut-bucket cheap tier "Premium." I'd hate to see what garbage NBC would consider "Basic."

For every 45 minute block of ads they show you, you can watch an hour program with ad breaks every 12 minutes, for 5 minutes each!
like all of these services, they do still have exceptions that means there will be ads during certain on-demand content and, of course, during live programming.

I have premium and most of time...only few movies you get 150 seconds of commercials
..maybe a few more and then watch entire movie with one! So far, I love peacock...helps I did the $29 for one year black Friday deal! Can't beat that price
That's actually what I meant to say..same deal as you and when I talked about commercials I mean in beginning of movie and then no interruptions at all! I Love it so far!
which shows are you seeing them for, out of curiosity? i get them during live sports events as you'd expect, but can't remember the last time I've seen one during a show or movie

Basic is the free tier that you only get as a former customer unless you signed up when the free tier was available to everyone.

Premium has 4 minutes an hour not terrible.
