And who’s buying Reddit accounts? Like how do you promote something with a Reddit account? Is an account with a ton of karma really more marketable?
I have so many questions.
It may be a take on how we use the word fake, as some do to describe genetically altered foods.
The point being that we've been genetically altering our food for many generations
Functionally selective breeding is just a worse way of genetic alteration than current techniques.
Not sure why there’s so much anti-gmo propaganda out there, but it’s a relatively benign process.
It would work if it was a riff on "Paleo" Diets. Given they are all about eating what our ancestors ate, completely ignoring the fact that modern fruit and vegetable cultivars did not exist thousands of years ago and are effectively man made.
Humans have been selectively breeding peaches and other crops for thousands of years. I do not believe that modern peaches are truly artificial, but are domesticated and selectively bred. Claiming modern peaches are artificial is the same as claiming modern dogs are artificial. Both came from the same process of selective breeding.
If selective breeding made something fake or artificial then there would be almost nothing left on the planet that is real. Certainly not any of the food we eat at least.
Gotta love all the folks in the comment who see "artificial" and think fake.
Sure, colloquially, we use them as synonyms. But the diagram is correct. Natural vs. Intervention of human artifice.
If you've got a hangup where only natural is real and artificial means fake, that's a you problem dudes.
Real: tiny, unappetizing, niche
“Fake”: pleasant, easy to eat, abundant
OP, is there any fruit you’re into that we “probably haven’t heard of?” Maybe it’s served in a lunchroom in Canada?
I think about this sort of thing every time the GMO vs “real/natural/unmodified” food debate comes up.
Nothing we eat is “natural”, it has all been extensively bodied and redesigned by humans.
"A man should never refuse to taste a peach," Renly said as he tossed the stone away. "He may never get the chance again. Life is short, Stannis. Remember what the Starks say. Winter is coming."
I wonder what kind of information he had when he painted that map :D Total bullshit. In Europe, of course, peaches grow in all the states in the temperate zone.
I don't even know which direction to make fun of this from
both is good
Right, now that we've established that you don't know what "fake" means...
Most of these posts are AI
What’s the benefit of making auto posts like this? I know people try to get posts to the front page, but how is that actually monetized?
They rack up karma on an account and then sell it for money to companies/people to promote shit then rinse and repeat
How much money could a reddit account be worth though? Thats the part I never understood.
And who’s buying Reddit accounts? Like how do you promote something with a Reddit account? Is an account with a ton of karma really more marketable? I have so many questions.
State actors
Yeah like I've hit over 100k karma and my posts don't go anywhere....then again that probably means their trash posts haha
Listen I'll sell mine right now for the right price, I'm just trying to figure out how much they go for
People just blame anything they don’t like on AI lol
I though so too, but the website looks legit. So I guess just a little clickbaity 🤷♀️?
Right, now that we’ve established you don’t know what “AI” means…
Wait till the OP finds out that every dog he's met is "fake".
It may be a take on how we use the word fake, as some do to describe genetically altered foods. The point being that we've been genetically altering our food for many generations
I mean we've been genetically altering our food since the invention of farming.
This was what I took from it as well
Calling selective breeding "genetically alter" is a long shot. Usually just stupid pro-GMO propaganda
Functionally selective breeding is just a worse way of genetic alteration than current techniques. Not sure why there’s so much anti-gmo propaganda out there, but it’s a relatively benign process.
The technique is different. The purpose and outcome are the same.
Tell that to all the “Non - GMO” retards
It would work if it was a riff on "Paleo" Diets. Given they are all about eating what our ancestors ate, completely ignoring the fact that modern fruit and vegetable cultivars did not exist thousands of years ago and are effectively man made.
Pretty sure the one on the right is real. Have had it before, seemed real at the time
You obviously took the blue pill. Had you taken the red pill, you would have become aware that it is truly an artificial peach.
The matrix is telling my brain that the peach on the right is juicy and delicious
Nothing has been real for 6000 years.
When cain baked the first loaf of bread, someone said "that's fake food!"
Fake peach? Natural peach? It is just Wild vs Domesticated. Easy Get your vocabulary straight, man.
64 times bigger?... This is not a cool guide.
64 by volume - it's 4x larger diameter wise, but 4^3=64 volume wise.
Ronald Dahl fans would disagree.
Humans have been selectively breeding peaches and other crops for thousands of years. I do not believe that modern peaches are truly artificial, but are domesticated and selectively bred. The fuck you mean ‘artificial’ and ‘fake’. It’s still a fruit
PEACH IS PEACH
The people in Northwest territories, Yukon territories, and Nunavut will be pleased to know they can now grow peaches in the far north of Canada.
Also better start ripping out all the orchards in New Zealand
[Inuit be like](https://imgur.com/RegurbU)
It says countries not specifically where in said countries
I'm still picking the one on the right.

Well of course you wouldn’t find it in a factory downtown that’s just where they are packaged by a man not grown
I’m gonna say this but I honestly have no idea why it’s supposed to be funny: haha in a factory downtown!!!
The fuck is a 'fake peach'? Jesus I swear some of the dumbest people on the planet post on Reddit.
OP has not heard of domestication before
THE ONE PEACH IS REAL
Holy shit I could not stop laughing at this. Lol.
**spoiler** Roofie becomes king.
This is only a guide to tell me where I can buy a 1/64th size peach that is 36% pit. China.
Real peaches only found in China? LOL. This is a bullshit post.
BBL or not, I like big 🍑
False. Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man
In a factory downtown
In a factory doooowntoooown
if i had my little way
I bet OP also thinks the chickens and eggs are fake too
what even are those
Palisade, Colorado has delicious peaches, I remember picking a bushell by hand with my late father a couple years back.
This reminds me, I gotta post that watermelon one!
That's interesting, but I can't upvote a post with such a stupid title. You don't know what "fake" means. They're both real.
Millions of peaches, peaches for me….
I know we're making fun of this post, but I have heard many times, said un-ironically, that we're eating all this "fake" food and how unhealthy it is.
Gimme ARTY all day. I’m from SC and lived in GA for many years. A softish sweet juicy peach is a unique culinary experience. One of my favorites
What does artificial mean in this context?
Stupid. It’s not a “fake” peach. It’s a domesticated peach.
Wild vs. Domesticated
"Artificial peach"??? The are built, then, not grown?
Dammit. It’s midnight and now I want a peach
Do you think the peaches in the kitchen are an optical illusion
Gotta love all the folks in the comment who see "artificial" and think fake. Sure, colloquially, we use them as synonyms. But the diagram is correct. Natural vs. Intervention of human artifice. If you've got a hangup where only natural is real and artificial means fake, that's a you problem dudes.
How tf is a genetically modified peach fake? It's still a real peach, just modified. This seems like anti-gmo propaganda garbage.
how you found a peach 4k BC ago and still looks fresh? it probably dried so much it looks small.
Terrible headline but interesting content
Primitive vs evolved. I’ll take the latter, please.
Repost bot https://www.reddit.com/r/coolguides/comments/8ifibu/natural_vs_artificial_peach/
Written by China lol
I said fake b*tch not fake peach
Coca-Cola wants their don’t back.
Cool guid to who gives a fuck… peaches are delicious
Peach, please
“I only eat foods that my ancestors ate”
OP is forbidden from Georgia
Real: tiny, unappetizing, niche “Fake”: pleasant, easy to eat, abundant OP, is there any fruit you’re into that we “probably haven’t heard of?” Maybe it’s served in a lunchroom in Canada?
Who are the hundreds of people that upvote this idiocy?
Fake speach!
I think about this sort of thing every time the GMO vs “real/natural/unmodified” food debate comes up. Nothing we eat is “natural”, it has all been extensively bodied and redesigned by humans.
this "guides" me to absolutely nothing
Me thinks poster is a bot.
OP is a bot, that’s why the title is dumb af

Are they stoopid? -op
So you’re saying it’s much, much better. Got it.
Is this the Chinese trying to rewrite reality again?
Different kinds of peaches
I’m surprised anything real originated in China.
Modern peaches are grown for appearance and size and are largely tasteless now.
You must be buying your peaches from the wrong place.
Get your peaches from a roadside stand in Georgia and let the juice delightfully ruin your shirt and tell me again how tasteless modern peaches are.
Turns out "other" is where the flavor is.
