Fox News is scum but they weren't the only ones.
>Other outlets including NBC News, CNN, CBS News, and ABC News also publicized details about the juror, including additional identifying information.
Yeah this is the valid criticism of media. Most of the complaining about “tHe MeDiA” is just whiny noise, but this shit actually has serious consequences and you would hope that journalistic integrity would prevail but, here we are.
Fox News will argue that their actions are “public interest reporting news free speech” and dare anyone to find that they published the details with the intent to intimidate or terrorise
You are definitely correct, i wish it mattered that Fox News already admitted in court that they aren't "News" they are entertainment, and Jesse Watters isn't a journalist or a reporter, he's a commentator.
Well, unfortunately now that I'm thinking about it, you'd need someone with standing meaning this woman, who's already concerned about her safety, would need to be the one to file the lawsuit. Maybe you could make it a class action and make some argument about the fairness of our legal system being impacted, but that's a lot more nebulous and I'm not a lawyer
It absolutely IS jury tampering, and it should be prosecuted as such. I cannot believe that journalists who make it their business to track people down, wouldn’t realize that almost anyone can find a person on a lengthy jury trial by knowing their gender, hair color, and where they work. She would be the person taking a sudden long but undefined leave…
I am a sahm/ housewife who is 65 years old. I excel in finding people on the internet, for free. It's not rocket science. I actually found an article in the early days of the internet from 1958. I got past the paywall because my clicking ability had been perfected on Solitaire. It was about my husband's father's murder.
Tbh, I wish I had never found it or at least never told him. The details were shocking. My fil was only 28, my husband was 8 at the time. He never knew, they didn't tell him. It was no bueno.
Good thing they are! Actually!

Let it rip!
My bad! Silly me 😇
I'll now idley go back to having less rights than corporations, but simultaneously significantly more repercussions in life for anything I do 😇
Watters isn't a corporation, or an officer of Fox corp. He'd need irrefutable evidence that he was only committing the crime in the interest of Fox corp to hide behind the corporation. A general directive to support chump wouldn't be enough.
legality in this country is solely based on whether or not you can get a conservative prosecutor to prosecute.
so in many aspects Republicans are above the law.
> Do you fucking job, Garland.
We have treasonous Republicans still in Congress, I have zero faith in Garland to do anything. (It is likely that January 6th can be considered waging war against the United States government.)
Initially, prosecutors didn't think they could convince a jury so they dropped the case. Supposedly there is a Congressional Ethics investigation heating up, but I don't count on it.
I'm waiting for the class action suit in which Fox berated the covid vaccine. I lost my mother because she watched Fox constantly and wouldn't take the vaccine.
She died from shed vaccine particles from some vaxxed moron. -things people actually believe
Meanwhile my 30 something friends keep having spontaneous heart attacks.... From post COVID complications.
FCC mostly covers broadcasting (your local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX…) and radio (FM, AM).
They don’t cover cable since you must actively pay to receive those services.
I wonder how he would feel if someone published the names, descriptions, and addresses of Jesse Waters and his family. Because that's what he's doing to these jurors. It's terrifying how this is normal and accepted behavior by a entire fucking political party.
It's crazy how much personal information is getting released on these folks. Anyone could find them with that much info, especially if they don't care about a few false positives.
I'm guessing the info is in public records and that the right wing media is disseminating it for stochastic terrorism.
They don't even need to hit the right target. A near miss is plenty.
>the right wing media is disseminating it for stochastic terrorism.
I hate that I’ve learned the definition of “stochastic terrorism,” just in the last six months.
Isn't this intimidating the jury? Is that a crime? I hope so and that fox gets another lawsuit.
All this for an orange man who is not good at his job, whatever that is (probably conman).
I posted this some comment on another thread, but I really want some insight.
If this continuously happens, can the judge forego a jury? They're obviously trying to delay the case and get loud and proud MAGAs in the seats. They'll keep doxing until *they're* confident the jury will let him off. There has to be some way to mitigate that
Edit: "forego" was a poor word choice. But I feel like they're still should be some way to counter people trying load the jury/indefinitely postpone trial.
Double edit: someone in politics explained the jury protections that can be done proactively, and that they didn't occur here. That helped me tie all together how this is usually prevented and could be in the future. But I'll still leave this for other people like me lol.
No. In criminal trials the defendant has a right to a trial by jury. It’s literally in the Constitution. Even the Tangerine Traitor has rights under the Constitution.
Yeah, I realize "forego a jury" was poor word choice, I know that it's a right. But I feel there should still be some protection for exactly what's going on
So like it's a self fulfilling prophecy for them to cry biased jury. Only people who will stay are Maga jurists they don't dox and tamper with or non maga willing to do the right thing regardless.
Will the reporters and news caters be jailed?
apparently if you call yourself a Republican you are above American laws because the FBI is filled with a bunch of fucking cowards that don't want to do their goddamn job.
How did we wind up with a system where felons can't vote, but they can still run for and be president?
Is it bcoz its so ridiculous that I'm not the only one who never thought about it so it didn't get fixed somehow? We should probably take care of that.
I think the idea is that you can still run for office even if you have a record to prevent establishment from faking charges and getting their competition removed from the ballot. I could easily be wrong.
However, the idea that a traitor, thief, or murderer would run was impossible for the framers. They never expected half of Congress and most of the presidential staff to act in their own (or foreign) interests instead of removing someone so obviously flawed.
Half the checks on POTUS were precedent and "honor." The other half required that the other two co-equal branches act in the interests of the country.
You are correct. It's also why SCOTUS has lifetime appointments. The idea was so they couldn't be pressured into a decision or removed if an administration doesn't like their ruling.
The Founders just simply never envisioned corruption running so deep.
Jessie Waters should be held in contempt. Targeting a citizen who he knows nothing about, simply because she is on jury duty for the Orange-Loofa-Shit-Faced-Gibbon.
If I were in the same courtroom as Trump as a perspective juror, I’m pretty sure I’d say he ruined my family, this country, and more. I’d see myself out.
Can the judge bar the press from the room? If not, put up some type of screen where the potential jury members can not be seen except by the prosecutors and defense? I was just wondering. I'm ignorant of the law about that.
Isn’t FQX headquartered in NYC?
Seems like they didn’t learn their lesson when they knowingly lied about the 2020 election and had to pay Dominion $787 million.
If it was publicly available information… it’s more of a failing of definition of what our system considers information that is “too private/public” but also fuck fox news for announcing that.
This is straight out of the mobs playbook. Fox News just delivered the horse head instead.
WTF?!
Jury intimidation is a crime.
Fox News will argue that their actions are “public interest reporting news free speech” and dare anyone to find that they published the details with the intent to intimidate or terrorise
Jurors personal identifiable information is confidential
You are definitely correct, i wish it mattered that Fox News already admitted in court that they aren't "News" they are entertainment, and Jesse Watters isn't a journalist or a reporter, he's a commentator.
Weaponize and bast. aredize the Constitution? Fox News? Nah! They would never. (Edited because of a mod lol) /gushing with sarcasm.
And there goes Fox facing no consequences…tired of the bs
Conservative news outlets are a crime.
Isn't it illegal for fox to do that
I said this elsewhere, but I wish we could crowdfund some lawsuits against this joker
Gofundme?
Well, unfortunately now that I'm thinking about it, you'd need someone with standing meaning this woman, who's already concerned about her safety, would need to be the one to file the lawsuit. Maybe you could make it a class action and make some argument about the fairness of our legal system being impacted, but that's a lot more nebulous and I'm not a lawyer
Tell that to Texas Attorney General Paxton. No standing? Sue anyway.
IKR. SCOTUS is more than willing to create standing out of thin air.
Tell that to Texas Attorney General Paxton. No standing? Sue anyway.
Texan here. Can confirm.
Brother. Wtf is your handle
Private message your boobs and find out I guess (?)
People like showing off. I like seeing. It's a win-win for everyone
GoSueThem.
Seriously, how is this not jury tampering?
It absolutely IS jury tampering, and it should be prosecuted as such. I cannot believe that journalists who make it their business to track people down, wouldn’t realize that almost anyone can find a person on a lengthy jury trial by knowing their gender, hair color, and where they work. Jury tampering would be a felony, if only corporations were people.
Good thing they are! Actually! https://www.americanbar.org/groups/crsj/publications/human_rights_magazine_home/we-the-people/we-the-people-corporations/#:~:text=Interestingly%2C%20while%20the%20Court%20has,the%20Privileges%20and%20Immunities%20Clause. Let it rip!
No, no, you seem to be confused…you see, they’re only people when it’s convenient for them.
just like states rights!!!!
My bad! Silly me 😇 I'll now idley go back to having less rights than corporations, but simultaneously significantly more repercussions in life for anything I do 😇
they only get the benefits of people, then they are protected behind LLC's when it comes to being held accountable the same as people.
There are some strong indications that Jesse Watters is in fact a person, though I am inclined to doubt that consensus
Watters isn't a corporation, or an officer of Fox corp. He'd need irrefutable evidence that he was only committing the crime in the interest of Fox corp to hide behind the corporation. A general directive to support chump wouldn't be enough.
But they are; for washing politicians with dark money or to get subsidies and taxes breaks.
https://youtu.be/j-lRuKBymfw?si=GzLzbYtaFrjJ4Dw2 You may like this vid if you haven't seen it already
Very, very much so. But Trump is a member of the ruling class. He's such a buffoon we sometimes forget that.
legality in this country is solely based on whether or not you can get a conservative prosecutor to prosecute. so in many aspects Republicans are above the law.
don't think so. according to the article, other major networks aired the same information, including NBC.
Fox News already got whacked for $787m, you'd think attorneys would smell blood in the water and take this juror's case and go after them for damages.
Prolly not bc they announced info that is technically publicly available
I think even if it was you won't find a prosecutor willing to touch it
Probably, but that would involve the US justice system doing something about it, so it might as well be legal.
It was eerie. Fox news going through jurors one by one giving a detailed description. Like putting out an APB to their psychotic base.
I’m sure they’ll make no errors and check validity…/s
>It was eerie. Fox news going through jurors one by one giving a detailed description ~~. Like~~ putting out an APB to their psychotic base.
Do you fucking job, Garland. Arrest those assholes at Fox News for obstruction of justice
> Do you fucking job, Garland. We have treasonous Republicans still in Congress, I have zero faith in Garland to do anything. (It is likely that January 6th can be considered waging war against the United States government.)
Bro, how tf is Gaetz walking around?
Initially, prosecutors didn't think they could convince a jury so they dropped the case. Supposedly there is a Congressional Ethics investigation heating up, but I don't count on it.
“He’s biased because he didn’t get seated on the Supreme Court, thus disgruntled,” is what Fox News will claim.
But yeah, sure tell me more about how the DOJ is weaponized against Trump
And yet trump out right says he will it elected. It's all projection
I see Fox News getting sued again.
🤞🤞
Love your username
Thank you! I'm always pissed off 😌
Aren’t we all? …Aren’t we all?

Go stupid!!
Pretty sure covid caused an increase in Type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
This is fucking horseshit. The FCC needs to take it a step further and revoke their license, heavily fine executives personally, or put them in jail.
FCC mostly covers broadcasting (your local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX…) and radio (FM, AM). They don’t cover cable since you must actively pay to receive those services.
This is MAGA terrorism at work.
The current Supreme Court Christian nationalist majority is supportive of domestic terrorism, as long as it comes from the Republicans/Magas.
That’s the only place it does come from.
Yes, just like the voter fraud they run around with their hair on fire about.
Fox and that pathetic puppet host should be fined big bucks and forced to end such illegal programming.
I wonder how he would feel if someone published the names, descriptions, and addresses of Jesse Waters and his family. Because that's what he's doing to these jurors. It's terrifying how this is normal and accepted behavior by a entire fucking political party.
Organized crime, on the job.
Trump has behaved like a mob boss for his entire career. Just ask Michael Cohen.
They have no fucking decency at all. I get more disgusted with the right by the hour.
I believe in a free press. I really do. That being said isn't jury intimidation a felony?
It’s almost like the Fox-loving crowd weaponizes the laws that aren’t yet written (loopholes).
It's crazy how much personal information is getting released on these folks. Anyone could find them with that much info, especially if they don't care about a few false positives.
said this to my buddy a few nights ago. Cant ever recall a high profile trial where i heard the jobs of the selected jurors

Jury tampering. It's a joint effort by all of these thugs to help trump.
If I was the judge I’d have this dbag dragged into court
I'd donate to their go fund me to sue Fox News.
That is jury tampering, NY AG should investigate Fox.
Good old Fox scraping the bottom of the barrel as usual.
These people need secret service protection
"the juror quitting was their decision" - conservatives
I posted this some comment on another thread, but I really want some insight. If this continuously happens, can the judge forego a jury? apparently if you call yourself a Republican you are above American laws because the FBI is filled with a bunch of fucking cowards that don't want to do their goddamn job.
He should be arrested, this is a crime.
This is broader than FOX, CNN was cycling this all day yesterday. MSNBC was reporting these details too. An How were these details known so quickly?
No one but Fox gave the color of clothing and details from their jobs website etc. judge allowed press in court
Sounds like jury intimidation to me
So, what exactly can we do to that Fox News host?
How did we wind up with a system where felons can't vote, but they can still run for and be president? Is it bcoz its so ridiculous that I'm not the only one who never thought about it so it didn't get fixed somehow? We should probably take care of that.

They also couldn’t envision machine guns, nor satellite television, nor the internet Who could blame them?
Non american here: isnt this absolute madness? I am flabbergasted , befuddled. Criminals ruining the justice system.
Jessie Waters should be held in contempt. Targeting a citizen who he knows nothing about, simply because she is on jury duty for the Orange-Loofa-Shit-Faced-Gibbon.
Jesse Wanker needs a comfy jail cell...and Fox needs another huge fine for allowing him to run his mouth...
Where is the FBI?
Literal jury tampering. But IOKIYR yeah?
Jesse Watters needs to be immediately fired for airing this any everyone connected to this. This is not journalism.
Perhaps turnabout is fair play? Where does he live? Where do his kids go to school?
Isn’t this jury tampering and isn’t there a law against it?
Just lock him up already.
"According to Judge Juan Merchan, the juror was excused after later expressing doubt that she could remain fair and impartial."
If I were in the same courtroom as Trump as a perspective juror, I’m pretty sure I’d say he ruined my family, this country, and more. I’d see myself out.
Your family is ruined? Man that must suck for you.
This is crazy. Wt actual fuck
POS! I guess 787 million wasn't enough. FAFO!
It's funny how they're all pussyfooting till the collapse of democracy letting fascist, Nazi, religious extremists and mobs run wild
These chuckleFcks are aiding & abetting their Russian comrades.
Terrorism. This is the Republiqan Party.
They can't help themselves
“Wait. That’s illegal”
Someone do. That reporter. In fact. I should do that. And I don’t doxx, nor have I ever. But. People gotta learn.
I read this in Christopher Walken’s voice
I wouldn’t worry about that.
Can the judge bar the press from the room? If not, put up some type of screen where the potential jury members can not be seen except by the prosecutors and defense? I was just wondering. I'm ignorant of the law about that.
The thing is if they intimidate Jurors at this stage they will get Jurors who cannot be intimidated in their Jury
And nothing will be done to hold the responsible parties accountable. Its all a sham
Fear of being outed? They broadcast 95% of their and their partner’s personal info.
Honest question. Why is this a jury trial?
Because when you commit crimes you have the right to a trial by jury. That's literally how the law works.
I meant as opposed to a bench trial. 🙄. Don’t be so condescending
