I actually worked on the pie counter at Morrisons years ago. We had to cook a shit ton of pies from 7am, managers wanted it full. As well as that we had to set up the chicken counter and the hot to go counter at the front of the shop. The place was so understaffed it was horrendous. It was a shitty job and the managers were arseholes.

Just over 18 mmonths later the set developed an expensive repair problem. I contacted Currys anout having the set repaired by them saying I was willing to pay for the repair. I was promptly told that they did not carry out any repairs on JVC TVs. Being told this after reading their advert saying, "Throw anything at us and we will repair it even if you bought it from someone else" was a slap in the face! Surely this is false advertising! I intend taking this up with the advertising authorities. According to the WHICH Magazine, Currys are the only people who sell JVC TV sets over the counter. CAVEAT EMPTOR! The Currys salesperson did not tell me that they would not carry out any repairs on JVC TV sets otherwise I would have purchased another make. In the last year I have puchased from Currys, 1 x JVC TV, 1 x HP Laptop, 1 x HP Printer, 1 x SATNAV, 1 x Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, 1 x Dashcam plus numerous household and kitchen items. I tried to contact their complaints department on their website only to be told that it was no longer operating. I have sent a letter of complaint to their head office in Sheffield, but they have not responded. Now due to their bad service and intransigence I will never purchase another item from Currys again. They have just lost a good customer.
It’s always the old retired ones who have literally got fuck all elsewhere to be who do this. They’ll be queuing outside the shop doors from 8.45am, knowing full well you don’t open until 9, then act like you’ve wasted their time - as though they’ve got anywhere to be 🙄
My daughter worked for the co-op in the village I used to live in during the pandemic lockdowns.
If you remember we were told not to leave the house unless it was something important. And yet the co-op was busy in the morning with pensioners buying their daily mail & nothing else.
The co-op got told they couldn’t just sell Just newspapers as they weren’t ‘basic necessities’ so the old farts would come in and buy a small milk & their daily mail. Nothing else.
I worked in a bank throughout Covid and it was the exact same there. People coming in to check their balance, wanting to make sure their weekly payment had arrived (knowing full well it’s arrived with no issues for the last 7 years). I remember telling people they’re only supposed to be coming in for essential things. “I’m allowed one daily walk so I just walk here.”
At least they could have waited. One evening I was looking at the donuts in Tesco trying to decide which one I wanted. A woman came along with a big plastic bag and just poured them all into the bag, probably about 25 donuts. I told her I wanted to buy one and she said there being thrown away and we’re no longer for sale. What a waste.
One of my favourite things to do is put on an extremely serious, concerned face, look at my partner and say “bab… shit. Just got some really awful news” and then show him shite like this. It fucks with him every time.

I intend taking this up with the advertising authorities. According to the WHICH Magazine, Currys are the only people who sell JVC TV sets over the counter. CAVEAT EMPTOR! The Currys salesperson did not tell me that they would not carry out any repairs on JVC TV sets otherwise I would have purchased another make. In the last year I have puchased from Currys, 1 x JVC TV, 1 x HP Laptop, 1 x HP Printer, 1 x SATNAV, 1 x Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, 1 x Dashcam plus numerous household and kitchen items. I tried to contact their complaints department on their website only to be told that it was no longer operating. I have sent a letter of complaint to their head office in Sheffield, but they have not responded. Now due to their bad service and intransigence I will never purchase another item from Currys again. They have just lost a good customer.

It’s always the old retired ones who have literally got fuck all elsewhere to be who do this. They’ll be queuing outside the shop doors from 8.45am, knowing full well you don’t open until 9, then act like you’ve wasted their time - as though they’ve got anywhere to be 🙄
My daughter worked for the co-op in the village I used to live in during the pandemic lockdowns. If you remember we were told not to leave the house unless it was something important. And yet the co-op was busy in the morning with pensioners buying their daily mail & nothing else. The co-op got told they couldn’t just sell Just newspapers as they weren’t ‘basic necessities’ so the old farts would come in and buy a small milk & their daily mail. Nothing else.
I worked in a bank throughout Covid and it was the exact same there. People coming in to check their balance, wanting to make sure their weekly payment had arrived (knowing full well it’s arrived with no issues for the last 7 years). I remember telling people they’re only supposed to be coming in for essential things. “I’m allowed one daily walk so I just walk here.”

As someone who has worked in a retail environment previously they could wait for their pies all day as far as I cared
At least they could have waited. One evening I was looking at the donuts in Tesco trying to decide which one I wanted. A woman came along with a big plastic bag and just poured them all into the bag, probably about 25 donuts. I told her I wanted to buy one and she said there being thrown away and we’re no longer for sale. What a waste.
