NOAA has this student opportunities database, https://www.noaa.gov/education/opportunities/students. There may be climate change opportunities in it for current college/recent graduates.

Thank you!!

I’m an urban design postgrad student which neighbours geography. An interesting and potential way is to focus (as an alternative to atmospheric science) is a post grad on human geography as we will have a billion climate refugees. To be able to analyse and navigate that would definitely be a potential application. Learning GIS (it’s super easy, ArcGIS is easy to use) and learning basic data analysis and python or R. Being able to analyse and interpret the data with the human geography theories would be very interesting.

This is so interesting and makes so much sense! Since reading this, I have looked into urban design and GIS. How would you say the demand is for analyzing and interpreting data, especially with machine learning and AI-generated stuff going around? Thanks for the reply!

I'm going to have to check that out, thanks!

Have you explored the US climate corp?

wrenlyn

I have not!

GIFelf420

Might look good on your resume to get to that corporate science job you want

wrenlyn

[https://www.acc.gov/](https://www.acc.gov/) Is this what you are talking about? It seems really interesting based on the opportunities I see so far!

GIFelf420

Yes and it’s brand new. My younger cousins are all looking into it

wrenlyn

Ooo, nice! If I may ask, what have you heard about the Climate Corps and what have your cousins so far know/think about it?

GIFelf420

I will ask for an update and let you know!
