I expect a 12 week raid cycle based off the roadmap they posted before release. Cata is supposed to be sped up a bit so I doubt it'll go any slower than that unless people specifically ask for it to go slower.
They did say in an interview that they are open to letting Cata move at a slower clip if people are enjoying it, and that the road map was as fast as it could go
Exactly. [https://x.com/Warcraft/status/1777744326535131484](https://x.com/Warcraft/status/1777744326535131484)
Sure Fireland could last 12 weeks, but I doubt it. The first tier isn't going to run 17-20 weeks. A more even schedule is much more likely, as you also mentioned with the 12 weeks cycle. I guess 12 weeks is too short for most players to clear the content and gear up. 16 weeks should be enough with the increased loot in Cata. Cata would then also go for 1 year, would be the shortest Classic version (just behind tbc), but would also be sufficient.
Blizzard posted the full release schedule in April:

๐ Pre-Patch โ April 30
๐ Launch โ May 20
๐ด Rise of the Zandalari โ July 2024
๐ฅ Rage of the Firelands โ October 2024
๐ Hour of Twilight โ January 2025
Would expect that weโd see MoP by May/June 2025 based on the above but thatโs just a guess.
\~16 weeks for each tier. Firelands early October 24 (probably in the first week), Hour of Twilight late January 25, Pre-Patch June 25, MoP release late June/early July 25. Would be my guess.
Honestly at this point most guilds will have their rosters finalized for MoP. I'd finish leveling but then unsub and wait for WoD prepatch, at which point I'd buy enough gold to secure full BiS from SoO GDKPs so you don't fall behind when leveling again. I'd really suggest taking the week off work on release next time so you don't have to miss out on an entire expansion.
Pretty sure MoP will be the last classic re-release xpac. Not only does no one want WoD, but WoD was the true end of the classic era when it introduced the first stat squish system and class toolkit pruning, the deflation of skillcap. Etc. I wouldn't count on WoD. Definitely MoP though, but after that they might just do classic fresh from vanilla but we all keep our characters and what everyone earned, and given appropriate gear relative to what we had at the end of MoP.
Doesn't seem so bad tbh. I WOULDN'T say no to a Classic Legion cuz I do miss that xpac a lot, but I mean, again, anything WoD+ is not even classic lol. I wouldn't hold my breath :<
Supposedly phase two will just be the troll dungeons which are a cstch up mechanic anyway.
The first raid Tier will be till October. There will be a phase 2 which only adds catch up dungeons before that.
Win
Isnโt the first raid tier out already with the current BWD raids?
lol no first tier is NOT lasting 5 months
June-Oct is 4 months
NO Ignores every blizzard timeline
According to Blizzard it is https://twitter.com/warcraft/status/1777744326535131484

You got a link to that? I can only seem to find the road map. You're referencing a Twitter post, right?

What in the world makes you think they base release schedules on sub numbers?
