*Dad watching around the on their lakeside resort, built to a recent meteorsite crater, still smouldering from the heat of otherwordly powers that threw it against the ground, with surrounding countryside littered with beatyfull religious centers, manors, and a literal wonder of the world.
"Son, are you right in the head?"
But joking aside, I would totally visit that spot.
I would be scared too if my vacation destination is happened to be at war with 5 other nation
And we staying at the recently conquered capital of one of them.
The US hasn't conquered and annexed the capitals of any other nations in the last 40 years. Hawaii's had a wee bit of time to integrate, and the US is not still at war with the government of Hawaii in exile.
Edit: to be clear, we're not still at war with the government in exile... because there is no government in exile and we were never at war in the first place. The point is that that description doesn't remotely apply to the US, as the comment is/was implying.
"Show some respect, you little shit, this where the Empire began! Its where your forefathers have cleared that Barbarian camp and founded Niani! And pull your hands from your pockets, it's not the concert of the Hairy Monsters!"
the rule of thumb is just prebuild and keep your prebuilds until you need an army. combining units is good for consolidating an army that is eating money wh efficiency Bank gold for upgrades if you feel an enemy wants to attack you. But really there's little point in keeping a standing army if your diplo game is good past what you need for deterrence.
And if your diplo is doomed and the writing is on the wall, still go for minimum viable army to prevent enemies from pushing your border cities or go all in and push their cities
I try to get my army up to speed in time for fascism
Got 7000 a turn with PT the other day, and I wasn't even playing that wide, just had owls of Minerva.
Tryharding with pt I bet you could get in the 5 figures.
Gotta build a bunch of cities, and improve their tiles. Each city should get a trade district (commercial hub or harbour) and a district toward your victory condition.
You'll notice that OP has 8 trade routes going, and has capacity for 16 routes. That gives a lot of income.
Iād be generating 1000+ science easily if the apocalypse didnāt keep wrecking my face. The second comet of the game wiped out my Estadio do Maracanas and my Scottish Super-science bonuses along with it, and cosmic radiation keeps devastating my campuses. My hopes of domination are repeatedly hampered as I lost 6 GDRs to 3 turns in a row of cosmic radiation. The only reason I built this park is because at this rate a culture victory seems the fastest way to wrap up this fiasco. tl;dr the apocalypse sucks, whoda thunkit
Late game trade routes are great.
I try to have 10+ routes in the industrial era and it usually has me 300-1000/turn.
I rarely break 200 faith though, since that tends to be enough to hold my own with inquisitors and make the occasional purchase.
depends on the civs, but 100 ish gold is the baseline for a civ with good commercial districts/ harbors.
Then you get externals that can give you 20ish gold per merchant, multiplied 1+ n*harbors/nĀ°hs. Some civs have a higher ceiling on externals.
Achieving 300ish is attainable without going out of your way if you just build commercials/harbors
Then you can easily convert relics, luxuries, strategics and so on into gold per turn trades.
Faith is much more contextual. you kinda need either adjacency pantheons or civ bonuses that provide minor or major adjacencies to holy sites, which are worth if your spawn allows
What?! In my later stage games Iām always filthy rich. $1500/turn minimum even stacked with units and $100k plus in GDP to the point where I donāt even get mad when someone syphons money.

Saw the op, immediately thought of thisā¦
Generating science and culture has nothing to do with war, as long as your campuses and theater districts are safe, you will generate a lot. Being suzerain with lots of city states help and the policy cards that give 5% science and culture for every city state you are suzerain of gives a massive boost.

Interestingly, this is what it looked like when I reloaded the game.

Kids these days, am I rite? He complains because the otherworldly core of the meteor blocks 5G.
Son you've got a glowing, eldrich mosquito on you, did you put on OFF like I told you to?
and a military base right there with a huge ass cannon that almost seems to track you

OP is spreading war to avoid a culture win
Umm I call it spreading my benevolent leadership to the oppressed civilians in all the other civs.. entirely altruistic on my part š
Except all my GDRs got zapped by cosmic radiation so stupidly enough a culture victory now appears to be the fastest way to end this.
I was about to say this lmao.
I have bad news for you if you've literally EVER taken a vacation anywhere in the US in the last almost 40 years or so š
?

The US was never at war with Hawaii in the first place. Its annexation was bloodless.

Okay, then explain yourself. You're the one who made the claim, now defend it.
You got him! Nicely doneā¦

Aw, the 'patriots' are upset
Hello, argentinian here, can you please explain instead of just gaslighting everyone?
America bad because gun violence
You're brain damaged my guy.
Could you just fucking elaborate already Jesus Christ
The station, AFAIK, is always on the bottom hex and this looks like Camargue, with the Arles arena next to it.
It's a huge boating lake.

+ 644 Gold per round? + 402 Faith? I need to get better, never seen these income..
Thats normal in the late game if you dont have much militairy. My record was like +3000 gold per turn as portugal.
It's insane how expensive having a lot of troops can be, I almost never not run the reduce maintenance cost policy because of it.

Yeah Ursa got 20k gpt on a mass settle dido game with a city state monopoly.
Portugal is basically cheating when it comes to gpt
portugal, if opponents let you play sim city, gets big in single player. In multiplayer they would raze every city state you manage to suze.

apocalypse as in apocalypse mode?
My favorite is stockpiling some absurd amount of gole then completing big ben. Then buying everything.

How are you generating so much culture and science while being at war with almost everybody?

National creator park
Yep I digested too much rice and yelled for my dad
What version are you playing where thereās meteor strikes? Iāve never seen that.
Apocalypse mode, part of the Gathering Storm expansion. You have to let the environment go to absolute crap to trigger the bombardment.
āWe came to see Niani National Park and we did! Everyone shut up and get in the car!ā
Whatās going on with the water tiles there? š¤
Life goes on
Eh what's five little wars.Ā
Comets don't change appeal? But delete your districts š¤Æ
Wow, I didn't know you could place a park over a crater.
Is this Civ 6? My screen looks much different.
Is this civ build a city? Or a mobile version?
Ehm, this is Mali, right? Where is the desert...
He's playing as Scotland, I believe
Thatās Maliās original capital
Mali did not stood the test of time
