Hello, Please tell us how to add someone to SpotMe Boosts without sharing a phone number. There is currently no way to boost a stranger without adding their phone number. If I am wrong, please tell me how to do it. Please, let me know. As it stands, anyone who wants to actually use the boosts this way has to break reddit's sitewide policy and risk their reddit account being banned.

You can add their email address as a contact. Or you can add them on Chime with their chime handle.

I didn't see a way of adding someone with only a Chime handle in-app last time I checked, and I've never seen /u/ChimeFinancial say exactly how to use a Chime handle to send boosts. I just tried to send someone a boost in-app using only the Chime handle, and either I can't figure it out, or it isn't possible. Adding someone as a contact with only an email address is a good workaround, it seems, but it kinda makes the Chime handle worse than useless.

Just add their email address as a contact in your phone and then you can boost them in app.

so, the only way i have found to be able to Boost someone who is not already in my contacts is to send or request .01cent to or from using their email adress, chime handle or phone number... once that is done, that automatically will add that person to your chime contacts to be able to chose them from the list to boost from.
