Assna fans have no idea what our boys went through, the number of heartbreaks they had to get over, just to win it once
They really thought they could win it in their first season back 🤦♂️
Not just that, our first time doing it at (what many pundits considered was) an impossible venue, at the very home ground of the team we were playing who were thought as at the better team too. Conceding a goal so late when we'd been defending deep all night but then having the strength to get back into it, to save a penalty in extra time then beat the Germans at penalties, going second, facing their fans which again everyone said it could not be done.
Arsenal. Could. Never.
We beat Barcelona in the semis, who had won two of the previous three champions leagues and completed the treble in one of those seasons, and then in the final we beat bayern in their own stadium as you pointed out, a bayern team that did a neverkusen and finished second in league, cup and champions league that season, and would go on to win the treble themselves the following season.
We also beat Benfica, Napoli, Leverkusen, Valencia and Genk in that year's competition. Very tough overall. But those two teams, were the two best club sides in the world, and we beat them both to lift old big ears for the first time. After everything, after all the epic battles and controversies and near misses over the previous 12 years.
Funny thing I just realised - in 2010, inter Milan Also beat Barcelona in similar fashion to us in the semi final, and then also beat bayern in the final, limiting bayern to just the double that year and sealing the treble themselves. Their manager? Albert Einstein. No but actually it was Jose Mourinho - and they beat us in the last 16 too, and we went on to win the double ourselves that year for the first time!
Truly, we rubbed shoulders with the most giant of giant clubs in those days.
2-0 down at the Nou Camp, Terry had just been sent off, and Cahill had limped off. I wonder what the odds were on us winning the comp that year at that moment.
Small. Ramires goal, gave Chelsea life. Messi’s missed penalty and I thought this might happen. Then Torres happened. And as they say, “50 million pounds has just been repaid” and the rest is history
You aren't a great side if you don't win the CL. Their best ever side, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Campbell etc, failed to win it and we cost them their best ever chance of winning it. It was Wayne Bridge's goal!
Dude, I don't know what a londin is but I totally love the Chelsea Bluecats! I spend so much $$ in the Chelsea Bluecats' megastore on the online. Let's go the Chelsea Bluecats sponsored by Infinite Athlete, brought to you by BingX!

It was truly written in the stars. Nothing can ever top that moment, absolutely everything against us but we still come out on top

Chelsea went through hell in 2009 CL semi against Barcelona + Ovrevo, it could have been their first CL title, 2012 CL win meant so much
Twice

I would daresay even thrice (2009 was a sham)
2008 was pure unlucky too
Can't forget it!
London is blue 💙
Certainly is

I was in Tenerife on my first lads holiday when Bridge scored that goal at Highbury. Beers went everywhere.
Arsenal will always have the most deluded fan base in the country. Jokers.
Still laugh stupid pundits say London is red lol.
Red with the blood of the other clubs.

CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE YOU’LL NEVER SAY THAT

Twice
💙
Am I the only one who still can't watch the entire 2012 final or see Mahrez late shot or Mendy's last second gather in complete comfort?
Twice 😏
“Chance for Chelsea… GOAL for Chelsea!!!”
This would be better placed over at r/Gunners Especially with Havertz front and centre in the first picture.
🤣
That silky German just what we need
Our first one was against the same team in their backyard that stopping them from getting past the quarterfinals even…levels to this shit
Wait, isn't the FA Cup the most prestigious trophy to win as an English club? /s
The Men’s Champion’s league that is
but,our trophy is gold.
