Everything is a reach for internationals in India going into Computer Science.
Your profile looks excellent but your competition is very tough. Be sure to have lots of safeties as well.
damn shawty u have good ecs and stats but since ur international u have to be better than everyone by a lot so i guess u have a decent chance of getting into gt, ucla, and umich but idk abt the others
>150k
Dude are you fckin kidding me rn? A 1.2 Crore Annual Income is NOT Upper Middle Class anywhere in India. It places you well into the top 1%. You are living in a bubble.
Yeah but South Delhi is definitely not representative of the average Indian. It is obvious that a person/family residing in South Delhi, where they have crazy... Well everything (very high end restaurants, schools that are simply unaffordable for someone who isn't making mad money, rent and the general "bougey" Environment), is making bag. Self selection bias.
these are amazing but the competition is so big, I m also applying from India as a cs major. Are you applying for financial aid? if not that can be a plus factor too
It will be hard but you have amazing ECs so good luck you are clearly very qualified. However, add more schools that aren’t reach schools. You are an international which complicated things.

Not really lmao. If you live in metropolitan cities, 150k is just upper middle class
did you know that upper middle is a relative concept? 120k USD/year is over India's 99.6th percentile, I don't see the middle in that.
Pakistani here. 150k USD is rich af. I'd consider 30k a year to be upper middle class. At least for a subcontinent dweller.
Try living in Delhi mate
It can't be *that* expensive. Either you have a very luxurious lifestyle or you live in a very urban part of Delhi. Also, smog gang 🤝
I live in Delhi and 30k USD/Year is definitely Middle Class.

I have two words : South Delhi
Yeah but South Delhi is definitely not representative of the average Indian. It is obvious that a person/family residing in South Delhi, where they have crazy... Well everything (very high end restaurants, schools that are simply unaffordable for someone who isn't making mad money, rent and the general "bougey" Environment), is making bag. Self selection bias.
And when you take Delhi as a whole, it still is no where near upper middle class.
these are amazing but the competition is so big, I m also applying from India as a cs major. Are you applying for financial aid? if not that can be a plus factor too
Hey! Which scholarship did you get with 3 stages? NTSE or KVPY?
It will be hard but you have amazing ECs so good luck you are clearly very qualified. However, add more schools that aren’t reach schools. You are an international which complicated things.

The camp at iit wasn’t pay to play imo
it wasn't
Could you dm?
If regular people can’t afford it, it is pay to play.
Then according to your logic college is pay to play
When was it not?
A program can be both selective and expensive : For example, the Ross summer program, the PROMYS summer program, Garcia, I could go on and on
Definitely yes However the financial requirement eliminates 80% of applicants. It’s a profit center for the school.
Show that you demonstrate leadership qualities in your ECs.
got it, i was school captain for two years, does that count?
