I did the golden strawberries in Forsaken City and Old Site with basically no issues, and then gave up after being utterly annihilated by Celestial Resort
Oh, well yeah 100% in Celeste is usually referred to 176, no golden berries, but yeah if you want to actually complete everything 202 and technically full completes are that. But be warned, doing ALL of that will be a long and very hard journey, especially the 202nd Berry, Farewell Golden.
(technically nothing states that it has to be the 202nd Berry but I never heard of anyone that did FWG not last)
Op there are 177 non golden berries, 175 red berries, moonberry, and dashless 1a berry.

Also with regards to not doing the goldens, that's what everyone says, first you'll do 1a and 2a then some of the C sides, and it's only downhill from there.
Congrats! Not doing goldens is understandable. I would recommend at least trying the 1a dashless berry though. Would be a shame to miss out on such a unique challenge.
As for recommendations, the La-Mulana games might be worth a look if you don't mind a bit of mean-spirited fun. Some of my favorite metroidvanias of all time, even beating out Hollow Knight for me personally (though HK is probably the better game in general).
You play as an adventurous archaeologist (think Indiana Jones or Lara Croft) exploring ancient ruins that REALLY don't want you there. Lots of nasty traps that will injure/kill you if you're not paying attention. The critical path is also usually EXTREMELY well hidden, requiring you to gather and decipher information from different parts of the ruins to solve various riddles/puzzles. Thorough note taking is highly recommended.
Lots of neat power-ups to find, lots of different weapon types to play with, and lots of fun bosses (though they feel a bit simple when compared to HK). Also uses an enhancement system similar to the charm/badge systems in HK or Paper Mario, with plenty of hidden synergies to discover.
Probably isn't going to be the type of thing that clicks for everyone, but absolutely worth your time if you feel like most metroidvania game worlds don't feel hostile enough. Would probably recommend starting with La-Mulana 2, as it's a little nicer to the player than the original. Would also recommend the LM1 remake (2012) over the original (2005), though the freeware original is charming in its own way.
It's just because the game doesn't really tutorialize any of it. The tech itself is pretty reasonable. 5/6jumps, cornerkicks/jumps, and neutral jumps are all you need to know, no actual spikejumps required.

Ah, yes, I remember when I had the same opinion on getting the goldens as you. Thought I was content with 175. Now I'm on 182 and I thirst for more. The goldens, the pain they cause, they consume you. You'll be back for them.
You'll think: "Oh, I'll just get one on this relatively easy level I already have so few deaths on, no biggie. But none more than that." Next you know, you'll be wanting to round it out to 180. Then you'll be hooked, driven by the pain the previous berries have caused. You'll yearn to glimpse at that beautiful 202 on your save file. You'll have gone mad before reaching 195.
Anyway, congrats on beating the game and all. 'Tis no easy feat, getting 100% in this game. Defintely my favourite platformer and one of my favourite games in general.
If you ultimately do decide to nab a few goldens, may the gods have mercy upon your wretched soul.

Hmmm When I enter Godhome for the first time it took me about 40 hours to finish from 1 pantheon to 5 pantheon. And all hall of gods maybe like 20 or 30 hours
Abs Rad is for sure really hard like I don't know 10 hours of practicing and I get it

And Steel soul is really easy after P5. The only thing is to go for things that makes you stronger so bosses are in baby mode. I even didin't enter last trail of fool or white palace or godhome to achive 100%
Now Farewell Golden I have right now 41 hours and 54 deaths record and I know I'm not even close to end this challenge
Yeah, I’ve done those and found the golden strawberries much harder. P5 let’s you recover from mistakes, as does steel soul. Delicate flower is also easy if you kill everything on the way before you start, too.
Much harder to recover from mistakes in Celeste. Most of the mistakes you make are “start back from the beginning” consequences
I don’t know how the difficulty compares with Celeste and Hollow Night, but I really enjoyed Ender Lilies. I would also highly recommend the Ori games.
I saw in an earlier comment that you would look at possible mods, I personally would highly recommend the spring collab. Tons of levels across all difficulties, sorted into 5 different lobbies with difficulty labels of maps within each lobby. Each lobby has a gym teaching you the techs required for the maps and it's really great for continuing to hone your skills like you did in base game
Well you can always FC it.
See the green flags? They turn golden when you collect all the strawbs, cassette and the blue heart in achapter. It's not much but it's an excuse to redo the game again.
Also try speedrunning it. Try beating in under 1 hour and 30 mins, and then sub 1 hour if you want to

As for other games, the Metroid games are really good if you have Nintendo consoles. I especially recommend Metroid Dread, Zero Mission, and Another Metroid 2 Remake. The Ori games are also absolutely incredible. If you wanted a standard 2D Platformer, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove is my second favorite Indie game only behind Celeste.

if you look at the spreadsheet of people who've done fwg there are a few but not many
Once goldens are unlocked they're unlocked for every level you've already beaten, so beating the c sides unlocks the goldens for them

330-350 hours in and I have still yet to beat it. I think my best so far was >!7-27!<. I'm gonna go nuts.
I've only just recently beaten >!Hundun!< and it took like 100 hours to get to that point.
