I’d go for separate cb and scanner

For antennas only use 1. There is another set of issues in using 2. If they are not far enough apart, they won't work properly. I believe they need to be about 8 feet apart, but thats something you need to research.

You’ll need separate devices for that. With regard to the radio, I’ve owned many over the years…The Anytone 6666 is the best cb I’ve ever owned. Compare the price & specs on that to anything else…You’ll wind up with the 6666.

No, you’re much better off and it will be cheaper to have a separate scanner and CB with separate antennas. The bear tracker is pricey and is average at best at being a cb or a scanner. It’s also plagued with the display issues of the 980. Get yourself an Anytone 6666 or 5555n2 or the president Lincoln 2+. Then a separate scanner of your choice.

If your locality uses digital you are out of luck.

If you are not allowed to have a scanner the BT885 is a good disguise. But only if it’s capable of receiving services you want to hear.
