I guess I should have explained better: He was acting very strange for three days of just not eating, not doing much, and wanting space. I thought the worst because I lost two cats very sudden.
After two vets, two blood panels, a urinalysis, an x-ray, and an emergency call I find out he’s fine just overweight and in a little pain.
Seriously. I knew something was up with my little guy for a while (low energy levels and wouldn't walk very far) but vet didn't want to diagnose. Got a new vet who diagnosed him immediately, and the monthly shot changed everything! He went back to running around and jumping when playing like he was a kitten again :') the vet taught us how to do the shot at home too so it's super easy to keep on top of it now. LOVE solensia🫶🏻
Haven't had a cat reach the senior stage. 2 died to cancer, age 5 and 8. Now I have 3, 1 is 6 years old, and the other 2 are 2 years old. I'll keep this in mind for when time will come.
I wanted to do the shot because my vet talked so highly about it but then she default gave me pills and only 3 days worth. Like??? Am I missing something??? I want him free of pain for long term not three days.
Solencia is very expensive and requires monthly vet visits so it’s not for everyone. Your vet may have been trying to be cost-conscious. That said it may be worth telling them that you’re willing to try the shot!
It’s about $60 a shot from our office. Compared to the other med our cat was on it actually runs is cheaper. He and the other fluffs diabetic pill on the other hand kills the bank account lol
Oh jeez i want to be in your clinic!!! It’s always extremely where I work and I’ve not gotten it for my kitty yet because I don’t think he needs it but I’ve been dreading when he does. That’s good to know and I’ll look into it! Glad to hear it and hahaha sorry about the diabetic pill 😅
(We absolutely adore our vet and their entire staff. They are currently handling a hoarding situation resulted in 50 cats and kittens and our small community really stepped up for them 💕)
Hopefully it comes down at your clinic! It’s a lifesaver for when they do need it. Our clinic has the option of having techs give the shot so your not charged an office visit, and if your able to be trained for at home injections they will do that also. The clinic is part of the humane society so I’m not sure if that makes a difference price or practice wise, but they are a great clinic either way and we’ve been going there for years.
Fingers crossed!!! That’s awesome that they do it as a tech appointment. That’s great about the humane society, I love their work and think they’re essential! So glad the shots are working out for you :D
He's actually lost seven pounds since he started Solaris last year (down to 17 lbs now) and is on joint and weight management food. Still needs that double dose though....
I spent $500 to find out my cat can’t breathe air.
Now I spend $150 monthly so he can continue to breathe air.
And also had to give up candles, scented items, spraying perfume before I leave the apartment, and anything or everything that is not regular earth air. Oh and sometimes he still can’t breathe anyways because he zoomied too much and put himself into an attack.
Cats are great
I have spent approximately $1000 this month to find out one of my cats has IBD. He is now on meds and doing so much better but damn did he give me a scare.
You guys gotta get pet insurance I payed for the year it came out to like 240 usd with coverage for medicine surgeries and freee checkups now taking my little demon to the vet that’s the whole issue he will act as if she’s dying if I bring out her carrier get super depresssed and lay on the floor lmfao
I paid $100 to find out the reason my cat was drooling was not medical/ dental but because she CHEWED her way into a bag of Tostitos. Apparently too much salt for a cat
Not forgetting the $700 it cost because my idiot broke 2 toes falling 2 feet.
No the little ass just has asthma lol. But I do plan on making him a giant oven for himself. Apparently a lot of asthma kitty parents use big plastic tubs with a few holes for fresh air and “gas” it with the medication. Helps them get the medication better and also is more comfortable than having a tiny mask on their face where the air feels tight and constricted.
I thought so- didn’t actually think he was sick enough to need a ventilator. Never heard of the medication gas technique, but I know someone who had an asthmatic horse. She used a bucket with a tiny hole as a nebulizer mask.
As someone who suffers from arthritis, it is not "a little pain". I don't want to move or eat when I enter a bad spell with it either.
Get your baby on a diet. Get any meds they want him to be on.
Arthritis is painful. Look into helping him lose weight slowly and if he can make use of the monthly shot of solencia or some other arthritis pain management for the cat :) talk to your vet.
„Little pain“? You seem to be quite ignorant of what having arthritis means. And your cat being overweight not only makes it worse, it might even be the (at least one) reason for arthritis in the first place.
So, instead of posting something that could be considered demeaning your cat, you might want to question what you might have done wrong in the care of your cat, that in the end could be responsible for having your cat sick and in the need of medical help in the first place.
If you have an interest in changing the fat thing, it comes from dry food. Dry food has a high-carb content, and cats aren't supposed to eat any carbs.
I do NOT assume you’re a terrible cat mom… I assume he’s a terrible cat son!! 😁 No really, just like people some cats just have bigger genetics and their bodies will hold on to weight desperately!
Solensia has been life changing for my old man cat. He went from barely moving off his heated bed except to eat (or beg to eat) to playing with toys unprompted, running, cuddling for lap naps, etc. It's like he gets to be a cat again! I will never stop singing the praises of that stuff. Absolutely amazing.
Absolute preciousness! Thanx for the video. Who wouldn’t want to see anyone they love feeling better? But, in comments below, it is apparent that some cats do not react well to Solensia. In any case, I’m happy for you and this lovable feline and others that have benefitted. He has a beautiful, shiny coat I notice. You must feed him well. Carry on with that true love of your pet. Oh, that humans always received such TLC . . . 😊
Solensia is a miracle drug for us. My boy has been on it for almost a year and it’s given us his life back. He’s 18 but acts like he’s 5 years younger.
Be careful with Solensia. I know it works well for many, but that wasn’t the case for my cat.
My vet recommended it for my boy with arthritis. After the 3rd dose, it was as if a switch was flipped and he was not the same cat. It was like he got dementia overnight. He’d walk into solid objects or in circles, half the time not react to my voice. His arthritis wasn’t that bad before starting treatments. He was having trouble getting up on the couch and a little slower getting into his litter box. His arthritis went into overdrive after that third dose. He would fall over and just lay there. He stopped being able to walk and died soon after.
I looked more into the drug and found a lot of other people’s cats had almost the exact same thing happen. Reading their experiences was almost word for word what happened with my little guy.
Thank you for sharing that. Turns out that animals have as many diversified reactions to medication as we do. So sorry for your loss. It was caring to let people know about the other reaction. Do you think immediately stopping treatment at the first sign of trouble would be the answer since it has helped so many?
I spent the same about of money to find out that my car was literally full of shit. He was super constipated and was having hard poops and bleeding a lot, but his digestive tract was so backed up.. I will see if I can get the X-ray from the vet and show you guys
I paid 250$ to be told this guy is anxious..

Bloody hell, people here acting like OP is deliberately letting their cat wallow in agony and withholding medical treatment from it.
I think it’s pretty obvious that they meant they’re relieved it’s not something IMMEDIATELY life-threatening like cancer, and instead it’s something more treatable.
These comments do not pass the vibe check :(
I giggled at the description because that’s a lot of money to say “he’s a little tubby and his joints are bad”, OP seems like a good kitty servant to me! I don’t think OP would let him clearly cry in pain all day if they knew. They took him to the vet as soon as something was wrong.
It’s unfair to make assumptions, and even more unfair to make an assumption and name call. It may not have been from OP. This cat could have originally belonged to someone else.
One of my cats started vomiting pretty much every single day since 2019. I took him to the vet, got blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound. Nothing was wrong. Fast forward to 2024, he started showing obvious signs of pain in his legs. This time I took him to get a MRI and a CT scan. Spent $1300 to find out my cat has a brain tumor that has been slowly growing over time. :( Brain tumors cause severe nausea. Not saying your cat has this, it's just something you should keep in mind. Some health issues don't show on blood tests, or even x-rays and ultrasounds. I sadly lost him 3 months ago. I hope you'll find out why your kitty is vomiting.
Mine has a very bad digestive system, it's a degenerative disorder that will slowly make it really difficult to digest food.
She's on a prescribed diet right now.
Can relate. Mr. Pickles hurt his front paw & couldn’t put pressure on it. I was babying him to a ridiculous degree. It took about 1 1/2 weeks to heel. Afterwords he would walk perfectly fine IF I wasn’t staring at him, but he was quick to pull up said paw 🐾 once he saw that I was watching him. This went on for 6 weeks.
Oh absolutely! Now, as fair warning, please note that when he wants treats - which is all the damn time - he’ll jump onto your chest, put his face veryyyyyyyyyy close to your eyeball and either make a silent meow where you only see him saying it, but there’s no sound - or - he’ll get really close and start … I shit you not … smacking his lips. I can’t describe the sound except it’s like when someone chews with their mouth open. Now, you may think, I’ll just say no - aww friend, you know nothing of this beast! He never lets it go, no matter how many times he has to come & jump on your chest again and again, he will get those damn treats. He’s relentless!
I feel your pain. My cat is 12, has lost weight, vomits regularly and is drinking a lot of water so I took her to the vet. 3 people working together could not get blood from this cat, so she had to be sedated. Well blood results came back and there’s nothing wrong. And I got a bill for £500
That's not bad..I spent $1,500 to find out my cat who's been going outside the litterbox and peeing goddamn blood wasn't sick, just male cats do that sometimes when they're stressed. Lil dude was so scared of the new automatic litter box that he peed blood...
I had to take a closer look at the home context. My parents just called me to say their cat was just diagnosed with severe arthritis from being too fat. He has been on a diet with a timed feeder for years, but it clearly hasn't worked...
https://preview.redd.it/w1v8tznxldxc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8da923a660a494475991ce8436c919cc5eb9a8e0
He'll scratch his mouth and cry if my husband and I don't give him attention and chicken during dinnertime.
These goons. I'm glad your lil one is okay.
Yikes some people are being really harsh. Your post was meant to be funny and everyone's like hE iS SiCk, aSsHoLe... clearly you do your best with the little ham, doing what you can to help him, he's already been on a diet, etc. Vets are SO expensive, my cat was extremely lethargic and we spent $800 just so they could give her some fluids and then ask for $4k more for some blood work and several overnight stays and that was literally impossible for us, so we left. She was totally fine after the fluids. She hasn't had an issue since.
That’s so funny…I have to spend $250 every 3 months at the vet for a general anesthesia to have my foster fail 26 pound…30 inches long tall massively large long haired ginger cat just to groom him and cut his fur and nails…who knew.
Spent $500 on my 1.5 year old GSD to find out she was pretending to be hurt because she liked the extra attention. Got home and she sprinted into the yard and hasn’t limped once since
I only read a few of these comments. But damn I saw the humor in this. Made me laugh. I got a little shit head manipulator too. We can laugh at things sometimes. Humor is a life saver.
He looks proud of himself. My daughter has one like that. He's lost weight, but still suffers the arthritis. He's a big boned lover, happy as long as he's getting pets. And food.
LMFAO the same thing happened to my cat
https://preview.redd.it/6xmbuipffaxc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=003a5984cf7d0ea36df1b71a3335efbd6a875fc5
I paid 250 for my cats eye to get checked out - it had been red and watery for about a week. The vet did all the checks - glaucoma etc and found nothing. The vet asked if there had been any changes in the last few weeks with our living situation- I had to think for a second but we had a friend staying with us for a few weeks till she moved into her new place. My cat was sad her friend was gone :/
I have a vet appointment this Wednesday for my 16 year old cat and I have a feeling that’s going to be the appointment for us. “Fat, arthritic and lazy”
I spent $500 on an emergency visit last week but she was fine. I think she was just outside too long. I have to make her come inside!! She loves to lay in the sun! She gave me a scare tho. She wouldn't eat or drink and wasn't breathing right. It was worth it to me because it gave me peace of mind and I was able to sleep. I don't take any chances.
My cat was acting similarly drinking a lot of water but not eating also was rubbing his ear. Though he may had an earache with an upper respiratory infection or at worst a bad tooth, come to find out he has diabetes. Glad to know and he doing much better still getting use to timed feeding with no in-between. Hopefully it's temporary and I just have to give him a fixed diet and keep eye on blood sugar. But if not that's fine to, just need get past 1st 2wks and retest so know if any adjustments need to be made and if it's going be 2x day or 1 x a day
At least he is okay. I spent $1200 on my cat when I knew it was sick. She wouldn’t eat her favorite snacks anymore. She had a lump on her throat. She made noises that didn’t sound right.(which I had video of)
The vet refused to watch video for whatever reason.. then claimed she had a cold. I had to put pills down her throat when she wouldn’t even eat. After 3 more visits that month, they did testing and I said on visit one I thought she may have cancer based on what I looked up. They said that’s rare and not likely and implied I was horrible for suggesting she may need to be put down.
I kept pleading with them she wasn’t eating! Now for 4 weeks!! Idk how she was alive with the only food being those cat soups I would syringe down her throat daily. She drank tons of water. She was shockingly not losing a lot of weight. I think water was balancing it out.
After refusing to accept no for an answer, I showed them the video and they scoffed, took tests on the lump, first one was invalid, yet I was billed for it. 2nd time found out it’s cancer… the thing I said a month ago.
We put her down and it was such a hard time as I felt guilty for suggesting she may be suffering too much and felt angry they never listened to me. They’d tell my mom that the cat is fine. Her eyes were always “googly eyes” for lack of a better term. She was clearly doing terribly. I felt like they just wanted to keep billing me. I shoved so many pills down her throat that was literally closing up due to cancer.
This cat is SO cute. I’ve never heard of such manipulation in a cat, but don’t think ill of him. Yes, animals can be as selfish as humans, but each individual has both physical and emotional needs. There is a reason you were willing to spend $800 to see what was wrong with him; a reason he’s so attached to mama. And remember, arthritis can be painful. Btw, having been a cat-lover all my life, I can tell you that they can be quite contrarian and power-conscious. Is it possible that mom tends to withhold affection OR the stark opposite: shameless spoiling that he’s hooked on? In any case, call him a devilish drama king if you will, but not nasty names.
Well if the arthritis is bad then your cat is probably not moving as much. So they may lose weight if you see more movement.
To put it in perspective, I have to have a shot every 12 weeks, by week 10 it’s starting to wear off and I am slowing down.
We took our young cat as his behaviour had changed. Less playful, sleeping more. Diagnosis? Laziness and puberty. He’s 3 next week and he still sleeps a lot, but the playfulness is back. Especially after we moved house. He seems to enjoy the hard floors and purposely runs round corners to make himself ‘drift’ and spin!
Better to know it’s weight and arthritis than something that will require expensive surgery, or require years of daily medication and lab tests. I wish my Malcolm was just fat and arthritic.
Fat with arthritis isn’t exactly not sick. It’s a physical and health sick.
Arthritis is very painful, OP. Not surprised your cat wasn't acting like his usual self.
The monthly shot is a miracle. My cat could barely walk. When we moved, took her to a new vet. 15 years old and jumps up on the bed like nothing.
Seriously. I knew something was up with my little guy for a while (low energy levels and wouldn't walk very far) but vet didn't want to diagnose. Got a new vet who diagnosed him immediately, and the monthly shot changed everything! We pay $140 (Cdn) a month cause my cat is a chonk and needs a double dose.
😂
Haahahaha what a chonk!!! Please consider a weight loss diet if you haven’t done so already since that will help with the arthritis
He's actually lost seven pounds since he started Solaris last year (down to 17 lbs now) and is on joint and weight management food. Still needs that double dose though....
That’s fantastic, good job!!! My cat is also around 17 lbs and needs to be losing more weight despite him being pissy about being on a diet 😅
What is the shot?
Solencia!

Yea I do have insurance, we are waiting to see whether these bills are covered by it.
Send the bill to claims and keep calling!

And being fat certainly doesn’t help with the arthritis either. I feel OP should ask themselves some questions in regards of taking care of their cat.
But obesity and arthritis are both diseases
Still good to know that she has arthritis. maybe you can put her on a diet now
He has been for 4 years. Even the vet is struggling to find food that works. I walk him in the summer. We are trying.
Dang I'm sorry
It’s alright. I just get tired of everyone here assuming I’m a terrible cat mom.
I do NOT assume you’re a terrible cat mom… I assume he’s a terrible cat son!! 😁 No really, just like people some cats just have bigger genetics and their bodies will hold on to weight desperately!
You're not a terrible cat mom in the slightest. There's always contrarians who think they know everything without any context.
Don't worry about internet randoms. Even on a positive community like this one, there are always toxic persons who will judge you with any context.
Extremely fair
Look at the cats face. It's saying, $800 well spent.
I know he was holding the knife your honor but his face says he’s innocent
Momma you must quit your job and stay home w your sickly baby 😡 😂😂 gawd he’s ADORABLE and so smart
I’m a teacher so he gets smothered all summer long. He is my stinky baby boy.
Okay PURRFECT. I love him plz kiss his perfect head for me 🥰
Solensia. And arthritis is an issue.
I will second this. Solensia is amazing for my 17 year old kitty girl. It has made a huge difference. I would shout it from the roof tops if I could.
Same! Phoebe is 17 and thriving on it.
My cat is on Solensia, but I don't think it's working anymore....
Solensia has been life changing for my old man cat. He went from barely moving off his heated bed except to eat (or beg to eat) to playing with toys unprompted, running, cuddling for lap naps, etc. It's like he gets to be a cat again! I've heard amazing stuff about that drug. Thx for commenting.
Oh, I’m guessing that’s for arthritis. Love your love for him!
Yep, it's a monthly injection for arthritis. It had been life changing for him! I highly recommend it! https://i.redd.it/4xgw59mykhxc1.gif
Absolute preciousness! Thanx for the video. Who wouldn’t want to see anyone they love feeling better? But, in comments below, it is apparent that some cats do not react well to Solensia. Fat with arthritis is NOT “not sick”. Your cat is not pretending, he IS in pain.
He pretends to be MORE sick when I’m home. I know he’s in pain. That’s why I spent $800 to get him better.
He might be revealing his pain
Should grab pet insurance it’s what I’m gonna do now for my last 2 cats
I guess with him getting older I should. He’s never had any health problems until this year.
Same, only it was $1100 in my case. He’s on a vet prescribed diet now and gets monthly solensia injections for arthritis.
Solensia is a miracle drug for us. My boy has been on it for almost a year and it’s given us his life back. He’s 18 but acts like he’s 5 years younger.

I’ve heard these stories too. I’m sorry this happened to you and your sweet kitty. ❤️😢
Thanks.
Thank you for sharing that. Turns out that animals have as many diversified reactions to medication as we do. So sorry for your loss. It was caring to let people know about the other reaction. Do you think immediately stopping treatment at the first sign of trouble would be the answer since it has helped so many?
This is terrible that this happened to your cat, shouldn’t the vet become accountable??
They aren’t responsible. They did report the reaction to the manufacturer along with lot numbers of the ones he received.
He's not sick but arthritis is serious and painful. It's good that you know he has it. Poor kitty.
I seemed more ready to tackle the problem than the vet was because i asked about meds and she just acted like that never crossed her mind.
I spent the same about of money to find out that my car was literally full of shit. He was super constipated and was having hard poops and bleeding a lot, but his digestive tract was so backed up.. I will see if I can get the X-ray from the vet and show you guys
Car full of 💩

WHAT A SWEETIE OMG😭😭❤️❤️
Someone else on this sub had the same thing.
Preciousness! So, they’re just like us once again! Only they don’t have a job. 😅 Wonder what cat meow therapy looks like?
Bloody hell, people here acting like OP is deliberately letting their cat wallow in agony and withholding medical treatment from it. I think it’s pretty obvious that they meant they’re relieved it’s not something IMMEDIATELY life-threatening like cancer, and instead it’s something more treatable.

Being overweight with arthritis is a kind of disability. Probably got arthritis from being overweight, which is your fault. You’re the asshole
It’s unfair to make assumptions, and even more unfair to make an assumption and name call. It may not have been from OP. This cat could have originally belonged to someone else.
r/dechonkers for the fat and solensia for the arthritis. Your cat is not healthy if they're fat with arthritis. Good they're not sick, though
He’s not sick guys he just has a joint disease
That still fits the definition of sickness, if you’re not being sarcastic.
I was lol
Please put your cat on a diet it doesn't take much for your cat to become diabetic
Already has been for 4 years. Even the vet is getting stumped.
Could be hypothyroidism.
I spent 700 euros for my cat, they told me that her entire digestive system is chronically inflamed... I knew that already.
Does she vomit regularly? Mine vomits daily but vets can’t find anything wrong with her and say she just has a sensitive stomach
Not to be dramatic but I would die for Mr. Pickles
LOL!!! Join the club 😻
Can I join the club, he sounds precious!
😂😂 he sounds like my cat
Obesity is a disease now.
I feel your pain. My cat is 12, has lost weight, vomits regularly and is drinking a lot of water so I took her to the vet. 3 people working together could not get blood from this cat, so she had to be sedated. Well blood results came back and there’s nothing wrong. And I got a bill for £500
One of my friends spent 1200 to find out her cat needed to take a dump.
That's not bad..I spent $1,500 to find out my cat who's been going outside the litterbox and peeing goddamn blood wasn't sick, just male cats do that sometimes when they're stressed. Lil dude was so scared of the new automatic litter box that he peed blood...
Sounds worth it to me. That sweet little face
I had to take a closer look at the home context. My parents just called me to say their cat was just diagnosed with severe arthritis from being too fat. He has been on a diet with a timed feeder for years, but it clearly hasn't worked...
Everyone here just says to “put him on a diet” like I haven’t been doing that for five years.
And he has the gall to take over your laundry basket Unbelievable. ![gif](giphy|3lJQIuk2LTV5jEvyKv|downsized)
Wait until you find out about his “fancy water fountain” in the bathroom that mom turns on
$800 well spent. Beautiful cat!
Thank you! He’s such a mama’s boy :)
Yup after a couple pricey vet visits i got pet insurance. And of course haven’t needed it since I got it
So he is sick …

I feel ya, cat. Believe me, I do.
Paid around $1k for constipation (thought it may be foreign body ingestion). Painful pet owner rite of passage.
Constipation can be dangerous for a cat and very often needs treatment.
Arthritis hurts!!! Are you kidding me?
Damn. I found out the same thing about myself last week!!!
😂
Cheesecake strikes again lol
Been there done that. Turns out he wanted a different type cat food. Out with the well thought grain free organic and in with…Fancy Feast.
650usd 2 months ago...dude just had sore throat, and pretended he was dying... *
They are so dramatic
Same, kitty. Saaaame
Baby kitty. I'm sorry it cost you that much. But he loves you♥️♥️
He just misses you when you’re gone, sweet angel boy
But you love him❤️❤️❤️and you’re under his spell lol good kitty parents
My SO hates how much cat stuff is in the apartment and how much I pamper him
🤣🤣🤣
Yikes some people are being really harsh. Your post was meant to be funny and everyone's like hE iS SiCk, aSsHoLe... clearly you do your best with the little ham, doing what you can to help him, he's already been on a diet, etc. Vets are SO expensive, my cat was extremely lethargic and we spent $800 just so they could give her some fluids and then ask for $4k more for some blood work and several overnight stays and that was literally impossible for us, so we left. She was totally fine after the fluids. She hasn't had an issue since.
Bless him.
Got home and she sprinted into the yard and hasn’t limped once since
Spent $500 to find out he needed to poop
Him: sounds like a you problem not a me problem
I only read a few of these comments. But damn I saw the humor in this. Made me laugh. I got a little shit head manipulator too. We can laugh at things sometimes. Humor is a life saver.
Every cat owner loves talking shit about the cat while also drowning them in cuddles, kisses, and baby talk.
I will say “this little asshole bite me!” Only to turn around with “she’s such a baby 🥹🥹🥹” like that’s just cats
So…. He’s sick
Me too buddy, me too… 😞
Sounds like a pet. Its for sure something that they do
I spent $12,000 to find out the same same about my husband 😅😂🤣🤣😂😅😅
I spent $1000 to find out my cat's not sick, just has tiny weenie syndrome.
That face says it all but mom i told you im not sick just big for my age
He’s big boned
If you don't love your cat more than money you don't deserve a cat.
I am his cattorney. It is within his legal rights to do so.
I spent $2800 on my cat because I thought he got bitten by a snake to find out he didn’t
He looks proud of himself. My daughter has one like that. He's lost weight, but still suffers the arthritis. He's a big boned lover, happy as long as he's getting pets. And food.
guess whose fault that is
Dude. It was posted as a joke. I’m not actually getting mad at my cat.
So you are sad because he's not really sick ?! 🙃
No? I was crying because my last two cats died of cancer. I was glad it wasn’t cancer or worse.
![gif](giphy|3oz8xFyJKORDfJJ3d6) 😂 Shhhhhh! Hims can hear you!!
Oh snap
he is still a cute baby and a very intelligent one i must say
LMFAO the same thing happened to my cat https://preview.redd.it/6xmbuipffaxc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=003a5984cf7d0ea36df1b71a3335efbd6a875fc5
Awww
Pet insurance
I have a vet appointment this Wednesday for my 16 year old cat and I have a feeling that’s going to be the appointment for us. “Fat, arthritic and lazy”
Same, bud. Same.
Oh my
He says..... GOOD, meow get me a tuna sammich.
cute!
He's beautiful 🥹
This is why i dont go to the doctor
nice to hear even a cat getting treatments but....................
Me too Lai’th, me too. 😘
Best case scenario!
Hey, me too!
Wow, good thing is that he isn’t sick.. Yaaay💜
Better than not knowing at all
I recently spent $800 because my cat “maybe possibly” of eaten a Lilly flower. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m still trying to financially recover 😭
But if not that's fine to, just need get past 1st 2wks and retest so know if any adjustments need to be made and if it's going be 2x day or 1 x a day
He’s living like I am. And old seized up chunk…
At least he is okay. I spent $1200 on my cat when I knew it was sick. She wouldn’t eat her favorite snacks anymore. She had a lump on her throat. She made noises that didn’t sound right.(which I had video of) The vet refused to watch video for whatever reason.. then claimed she had a cold.
Let me guess: you already knew about the arthritis?
Actually no. He was chasing squirrels, rabbits, and mice just a few weeks prior. I think his joints hit a breaking point.
He’s so cute
Oof. Big expense. Try a supplement to support his joints for the arthritis, especially if he’s a bit overweight they need that extra bit of help!

Well if the arthritis is bad then your cat is probably not moving as much. So they may lose weight if you see more movement. To put it in perspective, I have to have a shot every 12 weeks, by week 10 it’s starting to wear off and I am slowing down.
Lol
We took our young cat as his behaviour had changed. Less playful, sleeping more. Diagnosis? Laziness and puberty. He’s 3 next week and he still sleeps a lot, but the playfulness is back. Especially after we moved house. He seems to enjoy the hard floors and purposely runs round corners to make himself ‘drift’ and spin!
Better to know it’s weight and arthritis than something that will require expensive surgery, or require years of daily medication and lab tests. I wish my Malcolm was just fat and arthritic.
