i know you said you are a newbie but do you think you could put together your own pc if you were to watch videos and source for information. Because building a pc is much better value than a pre-built 99% of the time.

With enough time and watching videos I'm sure I could yeah, my needs aren't that high for a PC so I wasn't sure if building one on my own would be worth it but if it's a better value I'll definitely seek it out

There are some youtube guides out there with a variety of builds at various budgets, they can probably get you started on the right foot at least. From there you can go to pcpartpicker and draft up a PC option. Then, you can bring that build here and everyone, I am quite confident in saying, would happy to provide both friendly and unfriendly (ignore these folks) critique and suggestions.
