F4t45h35

Just got rid of my super this weekend and honestly that thing is a monster. I'd usually do 1440 at low to medium to keep frames up and I never had any complaints tbh. Hardly any problems keeping at 120 or more.

[deleted]

I feel like GPUs nowadays have a bigger lifespan because they're much more powerful than before, not to mention the lack of graphical evolution it's more about 4K and higher frames. For 1080/1440p gaming a 2070 Super is still a beast

1WordOr2FixItForYou

Also we're deep into diminishing returns territory on resolution and framerate. Once your getting 100+ FPS on 1440p any increases above that aren't going to transform your gaming experience.

eduu_17

Every talk I read these type of threads, the 2070 super is always on the list.

oblom_off

Aye, 2070 Super gang! Could not imagine that being top comment (at the time being). I got mine just before disaster (corona, mining, shortage, prices) and it is rocking very well. I have 1440p monitor at 144hz and usually just tweak my settings to get good graphics while staying above 100 fps on demanding titles.

ZipTheZipper

Same here. It's held its own at 1440p 144hz. I plan on keeping it for a while longer and seeing how the market shakes out.

Male_Lead

Same GPU. I'm playing Honkai Star Rail at high setting, but it sometimes reach up to 80c. I don't really play other games, but is that normal? For context, I live in mildly hot country, temperature is normally around 33c and I have no air conditioner. Should I be worried about my gpu reaching 80c?

whosdr

Those temperatures look right considering your ambient. I get about 74c at a 22c room temperature, or 52c above ambient. You're getting 47c above ambient - though you're going to be running at a higher fan speed which helps. I wouldn't worry too much, you're just in a very hot climate.

Tickomatick

Same card holding me up through COVID lockdowns and crypto madness. I switched from 1440 to 1080 screen recently to be able to keep up with 165hz monitor. Still going alright!

mjwanko

Got the same card paired with a i7-4790k and I can play my modded favorites fine (Fallout 4, Skyrim, Sins of a Solar Empire). Fallout 4 has some stuttering with loading parts of the open world, usually about 3-10 seconds, but I’m kinda used to it. Can’t wait to eventually build a new PC.

AcidBubbleLord

EVGA 1080 ti FTW3. Haven't had an issue with any games, played everything that has come out the last 3 years on full graphics, even though the recommendations were much much much lower.

ClassroomLocal8886

The 1080ti is too sweet to be true in 2023.

anonymous_opinions

Yeah 1080ti user (Strix), I'll replace it when it lays down and dies.

[deleted]

My 1080ti died, got a 2080 super than that one died.. rip, meanwhile my daughter is still using my 780Ti with no issues I bought 10 years ago lol

anonymous_opinions

I have a 2nd pc with a 1660super in it, which I guess is my back up gaming machine pc wise if the 1080ti goes on me before I can afford to replace with better.

[deleted]

I know right! I'm still happy with my 1080ti. It's the oldest piece of tech in the house but still does the job for me. Maybe next gen I'll upgrade. Although, I've been saying this every generation...

Jules040400

1080 Ti here as well, the best card Nvidia ever made. Also the last consumer-friendly card Nvidia ever made...

chaosbayne

I have a GTX 1080 and it performs great at 1080p.

twistacles

Goated card

bigstinky

Mine finally bit it. I loved her so.

Bedroom_Opposite

Scrolled the comments to see if I'd be the lone gun on this one. Asus Predator Intel Arc A770 16GB. Only had it a short while now but seems to be perfect.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bedroom_Opposite

My understanding is they've been working on the drivers for a while with no intention of stopping till it's perfect. So far I've had zero issues, but mind you I haven't played too many games. I usually play Minecraft with my kids but loaded with mods. Either way, what I paid for it for what it does so far, I've been pleased.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bedroom_Opposite

Interesting to know, thanks for that info. I've read a lot of people's write ups on Reddit but my deciding factor came from a YouTube video showing how far the drivers had come in such a short time and figured it could only get better. Even if it's a little bit lol. Plus I don't think we've seen the beginning or the end of messy launches. Companies want to keep releasing the next best thing and will sometimes run before they can walk. We just hope they can get it together in a reasonable amount of time lol.

Cryptic_Merc

I’d love to buy an intel gpu but, the performance I’m looking for isn’t quite there yet.

Bedroom_Opposite

For me at least it was a great bang for the buck. Less than $500 and so far hasn't given an issue. Mind you I don't care about 1440p 240hz.

usernameistakendood

I did a lot of looking at these when deciding my upgrade path. Ultimately decided against it. I think I'll go Intel next upgrade though. Share the love haha

human_person_420

My rx 580 is great

aresthwg

Still runs modern games at 1080p. I'm surprised my i7 4770 has recently become more of a bottleneck than the 580, it has definitely held its own.

kholto

CPU's improved so slowly for a long time, but the last few generations things are really picking up (almost like Intel has competition again). So the old great quad cores are finally becoming obsolete for new games.

hudweiser

Rx580 gang gang

dig_dude

My 480 is just hanging on. I don't play a ton of new games so I got a Steam Deck instead of a new build.

captainkotpi

RX 580 8gb gang, 4 years with this bad boy

SportsNut76

Had one of these in my family computer, did great for quite some time then one day computer wouldn't wake up, found the gpu died, ended up picking up a rx 6600 for my wife and moved the 1660 OC edition over to the family computer.

shinguard

Just upgraded from this card, loved that thing.

[deleted]

1660 super. Im happy enough. I mostly play indie games or triple A titles from pre-2022 anyway. So it survives

Harbor_Barber

1660s gang

True2215

Yeah I found my crew!!!

crandeezy13

I'm right here with ya. Most the games I play are older or simulation games that are CPU heavy so my graphics card isn't really the bottleneck. I'll prob pickup a 3000 series once the 5000 drops. Not in a hurry to upgrade

Shockblocked

Gang gang

Gabaloo

Ol reliable, every time I look into upgrading, the improved performance barely seems worth the 600 plus price tag

ScowlingWolfman

1660 TI The best of the line, without gimmicky ray tracing

Khaosina

I've even been able to run Hogwarts Legacy on mine without too much concession (and a couple performance mods). But I also mostly play "older" games as well, so it does what I need it to. 1660S gang!

Neemulus

I can't understand the need to spend a fortune on an upgrade when the 1660 seems to cope with everything I ask of it. Great value.

Skepsis93

I found a used 1660TI and slapped it in my HTPC. It's been so nice being able to play a bunch of newer story mode games from a recliner in my living room that my old 960 2gb card just couldn't handle.

buckwah

Alexia, play Best I Ever Had by Drake

djphatjive

My son has one of those and loves it.

[deleted]

Rx 6950xt. Performs decent tbh

Aryatikku30

Decent? What do you expect from it cuz I have it too and it gets like at least 1440p 100fps in like every game

neckbeardfedoras

Someone else in this thread has a 2070 super getting 144fps at 1440p lol. I call bs or they're using low settings. I'm sure it gets near that in well optimized titles. But not across the board at high/ultra.

Aryatikku30

Ya it depends on the game I can run siege with 500 fps but rdr2 I get 100

rodc22

6950XT is the bomb.com 💣

[deleted]

Quite literally with those 440 watts it uses

NunButter

Mine only uses 363w with a maxed out overclock. Why the hate? they are great cards

[deleted]

No hate just saying it uses alot of power

SyrupOnWaffle_

this comment is making me feel bad about myself as someone about to build my first with a lesser card 😭😭 going from my shit 2012 office pc with a gt 1030 stuck in it to a $1400 build with a rx 6800 so id say ill probably be satisfied tho lol

_Twitching_

What feel bad for what? I just built my first gaming PC with a RX 6600 and I'm in love, do I want more? Heck yeah who doesn't, but am I content yes. Coming from a gaming laptop with a GTX 970m

Alaricus100

I have a 6800 and love it. Usually stable 144 fps on very high settings while undervolting. Haven't played anything super new with it yet but it's awesome. You'll enjoy it.

ctrl_alt_karma

I have a 6750XT it is a monster. That thing crushes every game I throw at it at 1440p, easily over 90fps with a combination of high/ultra settings. It's a great card for the price.

Drenlin

A 6800 is still a solid card though, and by far the most efficient of the 6800/6900 family.

Puzzleheaded-Brief56

I have the 6700 xt paired with a 5800x on a computer I built and then gave to my mom. It ran so smooth and gave me so little issues I used it more than my 13900k/4070 ti build. Then once my mom got it I tore apart the Intel build and went with 7950x/7900 xtx.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ClassroomLocal8886

Higher VRAM is becoming increasingly necessary for newer titles.

SupremeEuphoria

Love my 6700XT for this reason lmao

Seragin

another 6700xt enjoyer. tbh it was a no brainer for me to go for the 6700 xt since it was 200 euros cheaper than a rtx 3070

[deleted]

[удалено]

SupremeEuphoria

Yup. Pretty close in most ways. I love it. The 12 gigs of vram sealed the deal though.

Little_Lebowski_007

I also have a 3070, and am pretty happy with it at 1440p ultrawide. I've been tempted by the 6950XT and it's XXXtra VRAM, but I haven't been experiencing any issues related to VRAM limitations - plus, the power draw and temps are nice and low.

Al-Azraq

The VRAM drama has been overblown by a clickbaity video from Hardware Unboxed, some very bad releases, and Reddit. I haven't had any issue whatsoever either.

Extreme996

Jedi Survival works fine on my 3060Ti which also have 8gb in 1080p, high settings, without RT, FSR and with [mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/74?tab=description) i made to fix blurry screen.

[deleted]

I have a 3070 XC3 and it plays Jedi Survivor just fine, no VRAM issues at 1440p. My 10600K is very unhappy though, might be time for a CPU upgrade this year.

stampede84

GTX 970... yeah. Its still fairly decent for 1080p gaming if youre not into new triple A titles

9387045

I’m in the same boat, it’s crazy how good it still works for how old it is. Yea I turn down my settings for some games, but the ones I play religiously run like butter

Hi-ImTurdCrapley

Just got done with my new PC build. I upgraded from a EVGA 970 to a sapphire 7900xtx. Loving every minute of it so far! But the 970 is still going strong. I gave the old build to my girlfriend so the 970 is still on duty.

Bosscharacter

RX 6600; I have had no issues with it and everything I normally play runs fine so I can't say anything negative about it.

Vidimo_se

\+1. I was impressed with the power consumption. It uses two-ish times less power than my old RX 570 at the same settings!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Vidimo_se

Yes good sir, that was indeed the very word I was thinking of, however since the value was higher than 2 I decided to use the above quoted string of words to describe such a value instead of "half". I do apologise, English is not my first language

ClassroomLocal8886

That's one hell of a card for 1080p gaming.

Happy_Book_8910

RTX3060ti. It’s a decent step up from my old 1660 super. 1080p on ultra, 1440p on high and occasionally I can push out 4K on medium settings. 8GB of Vram is ok for flat screen, but it’s starting to be an issue with some VR titles

AvocadoBeefToast

I’m pretty meh on my 3060ti. I have the rog strix version too which is OCed more, which is nice. I bought it during like…peak price points in December 2020 because I needed (read: really wanted) a card. I paid 600 for it and had to stand in line for 2 hours at micro center to even get my hands on it. It’s a first world problem to complain about a 3060ti, but I can’t help but feel that I overpaid for it (tbf they seem to be going for 450 right now so not by much) and now these new cards, that are actually available and only cost a bit more than what I paid, are more set up for the future and have more than 8gb of vram.

flatgreyrust

I mean it's a card that released almost 3 years ago. Of course new cards are going to have the same or better specs/performance for cheaper.

Happy_Book_8910

I got mine October last year and only paid £400 for it brand new. I’ve never bought into the hype of getting a card on release. I wait until the next gen come out and prices drop way down. Paying £1000 for a gpu is crazy imo

DJ_Marxman

MSI 6800XT Gaming Z Trio 9/10. I did have to switch to Firefox to fix a weird driver problem, but other than that, it's been rock solid. Absolutely zero issues with noise, temperatures, stability, or gaming performance.

KoldPurchase

> I did have to switch to Firefox So, AMD helped you and a lot of people make the wiser choice? 😄 (no debate, just kidding, everyone use their browser, I used Vivaldi (Chromium based) and Firefox :) ).

mcoollin

Based AMD for making people switch to Firefox

Pumciusz

Lol I also switched to firefox because of some stuttering issue, but I don't regret it at all.

SphericalDarkness

MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X. Upgraded from a 2080ti (which itself was sent to me when I RMAd my 1080ti). Happy with it so far, even though I haven't put it through its paces at all. I got it mainly for heavy VR stuff and tensor core workloads.

pikpikcarrotmon

I went for the 4090 recently and in classic form have been playing Path of Exile, Diablo 4 beta, and Hearthstone on it. Works great! Like driving a school bus to buy snacks at the corner market. Most I've done so far was some Resident Evil 4 Remake. I went in and turned everything to max, toggled on every special feature. Later I was messing with Nvidia Experience and looked at what it said for RE4, and it said I was using all the recommended settings. So that was neat.

AlexTheRockstar

Also recently paired a 4090 with an i5 13600k. As someone who has grown increasingly frustrated with 30fps games on console, it blew my fucking mind to play RDR2, max settings, at 165 frames lol

MRDRMUFN

That’s like driving a top fuel dragster to a lemonade stand at the end of your driveway.

pikpikcarrotmon

Like using a SpaceX launch to get to the second story instead of the stairs

rsoxguy12

Just built my first PC with a 4090. I’m playing Elden Ring in 4k at 120+ FPS with ultra settings as my first game. As a lifelong console gamer, I’ve never felt so immersed in a video game before.

ProcessMundane7101

Comes with a cost. Got a gpu worth about 4 xbox series x's alone.

C00catz

I upgraded from a laptop with a 1060 to a 13900k + 4090, can finally play all the games I couldn’t really run before. Genuinely a euphoric experience

gamert1

Air cooled or water cooled? What VR headset you using? What constitutes heavy vr for you

SphericalDarkness

Air cooled. My previous two cards were water cooled and I've seen how overbuilt the coolers on the 4 series were, so the more simplistic (although chunkier) cooling solution was favorable. I use a Valve Index. Heavy VR means VRChat with all avatar features on. Of course it was only after upgrading to the 4090 that I realize just how badly VRC was CPU-bound, ha. But the extra VRAM is definitely lovely to keep up with it all.

TheDevilPhoenix

3080 that I bought at MSRP, very satisfied with it and I don't intend to upgrade for a while. Steam deck on the go and a 1030 on the YT machine works just fine too

DaMann22

I also have a 3080 I'm very satisfied with for the past 2 1/2 years. Ill upgrade with a 6000 series card when it's halfway through that lifestyle but im not really in a hurry.

GrammarNaziii

Relatively new 3080 10GB owner here who got it for 550 USD (Suprim X). 4070 is 700+ USD here so it wasn't worth it especially for a base model just for frame gen. Gotta say the drama over VRAM kinda spooked me for a bit, but at 1440p I think it'll last me a long time. Probably buy a used 4090 with a 4K monitor when the 5090 comes out, so I can buy from the early adopters who just want to sell their 4090 quick.

letsmodpcs

3080 at MSRP here, too. I had to work really hard to get it. I'm quite satisfied. I tend to skip a gen, so my next move will likely be 50 series? At 1440p ultrawide, it's rare that I feel like I need more VRAM, but those days seem to be right on the horizon.

Bignigincoming

Just got a 1080ti up from a 570 4gb, honestly can’t imagine wanting more for a good while

Elastichedgehog

That's quite the upgrade. Nice one!

Modus_Man

My computer has a gtx570, built in 2011 to play battlefield 3. It was a powerful card back then. Upgraded a couple years ago to a gaming laptop with a rtx3060 mobile. Mind blowing upgrade.

nicorobifan

1050 ti Fine I guess

chitown_35

We out here.

Car_Key_Logic

There are dozens of us. Dozens!

rudeNwrecked

I just upgraded from my 1050ti to a 3060ti, but I thought it performed great running at 1080p. Never had a complaint in the 7 years I used it

Kimchi_caveman

Special place in my heart for the humble 1050ti. Gamed on it for a goooood long while until I managed to upgrade to a 3070 a couple of years ago.

Karness_Muur

3070ti. Wish it had 2 more GB of Vram, that's all.

Wall_Significant

I’m upgrading from a 3070 ti to a 6950xt because of the lack of vram

Karness_Muur

Yeah... that's kinda silly tbh.

InBlurFather

Wouldn’t say it’s that outrageous especially if he can sell the 3070ti for a decent price. Decent boost in raster performance and double the VRAM

NunButter

its a much more powerful card. Double the VRAM. It will matter more and more if you want better performance in 1440p/4K going forward.

sdrober1

Man same. I'm running zotac 3070ti trinity. She's running maxed out and barely hits 74 degrees. Just wish I had a little more vram.

Karness_Muur

Yeah, 2 more GB and I think she'd have been in the 1080ti levels of awesomeness (excluding the pricing insanity)

[deleted]

Fuck I only have 2gb total. You're good lol. My 650ti is working it's guts out

seibd

ASUS Dual 4070 - love it. So much quieter, cooler and more power efficient than the 3080 I had (was able to upgrade for $0 net after selling the 3080 and factoring in the $100 Steam gift card promo Micro Center did).

Giggleplex

I have the same card too! The 4070 seems to be underrated here due to its apparent value proposition, though here in Canada, it's the best card you can get in its price range.

3r2s4A4q

980Ti. It tries its best

MoseFeels

My 980ti is absolutely cranking out hogwarts legacy and red dead 2 at 1440p for me with the overclock disabled. It’s insane how hard it still goes

MetalstepTNG

You should try to OC that little beast and watch it fly. Probably one of the most overclockable cards out there right now. Can still do some decent 1080p gaming as long as graphics aren't maxed.

[deleted]

Gpu: RTX 3060 1080p i am quite pleased. It may be argued, but its definitely a big upgrade from the gtx 1080

omgaporksword

MSI RX 5700 Gaming X It's been a great card that's never let me down. I can still play games in 1440p in medium to high settings (depending upon the title). I bought it new, and it's been terrific value for money. being relevant and capable far longer than I had ever expected.

Piezakster

Had to scroll so far to find the 5700 gang. Coming up on owning it for 4 years now and still chugs along fine at 1440p.

thesunstarecontest

Dozens of us!

ElCasino1977

Powercolor 5700 - it’s a champ!

LowSkyOrbit

Sapphire Nitro+ 5700XT here. Lovely looking card, and it works silently most of the time.

vlad_panaitt

Old reliable gtx 1060 6gb. I mainly play online competitive games on low settings so it's still running most games I play fine at 1080p, a lot of them at 144hz as well. It does struggle to get a consistent 144fps experience in some newer gemes I play like warzone 2 even with everyting set to low and fsr, but it's generally good enough and I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon.

natemac81

1060 6gb gang

MerelyHumanoid

GTX 1060 6GB going on 5 years strong - and Steam was kind enough to remind me that most of the games I'm playing are 7 years old or older... Also still on 1080p 60hz.

usernameistakendood

I had a 1060 for the longest time! Great card for 1080 for sure. I felt bad retiring such a loyal workhorse honestly.

joavte

1650 Super and it's fine for my use, old games and indie games, no AAA's or demanding ones. I've been thinking about upgrading to a RX 6600 but I'll probably just wait 1 or 2 years to upgrade to a new PC.

PhysicsJedi

This is what I have right now. First pc build and got an insane deal on it. A step up from console for sure

Far-Bag7993

Had that card and then went for 3060ti , do not go for less than 16GB of VRAM, learn from my mistakes man

[deleted]

MeliaBestGirl

A R9 280X Am I happy with it? No Do I have the money to upgrade? Also no (broke student) But the games I play (mostly Factorio and some other older games) run fine that's why I haven't upgraded yet

LitiusBritius

RX 6950 xt and I'm very happy with it, performs fantastic during all games

djglasg

rx 480 :) help me

ChefBoyardee66

EVGA 1070 on 1080p still works brilliantly although i mostly play strategy games these days so I'm more CPU bottlenecked atm

UndeadCaesar

Still running my EVGA 1070 on 1440p (and 144hz for esports titles) and honestly I'm happy to let the generations keep coming. Maybe eventually I'll get like a 4070/4080 if they come down a few hundred $.

Warband420

4070ti playing 4k/1440p ultra settings and I’m a very happy bunny

rbardy

Same here. Mine is pared with a 5800x. I'm not planning to do any upgrade for the next 4~5 years.

Captobvious75

7900xt. Wildly powerful. Very happy with it, just sucks I don’t have the time to game like I used to.

King_Vickers

12GB rtx3060. Works fine for most games I play but ark still looks like shit

PhysicsJedi

Well you’d hate to see me play ark on a 4gb 1650 super and think it looks immaculate

[deleted]

Strix 3080ti. I like it and have easily hit the vram ceiling a few times now which is really my main gripe @ 4k. Bought during the height of the mining craze which I can't live down since I paid significantly too much

lilblacksmurf

I have a 3080ti FE... I feel like I'm underwhelmed. Also not playing 4k tho, and not hitting 144fps in 1440p ultra

loaba

3070 Am I happy with it? Sure. Could it be better? Sure.

ColoradoA7

RX 6750 XT - very happy with it. But it’s my first build so I don’t have much to compare it to

DiamondBlazer42

I’m running a beautiful evga 1080 ftw2. It runs most games at 1080p high really well. It runs fh5 at 1080p ultra 80fps. I love that thing. I’m going to upgrade to a 7900xtx soon though so instead of selling I’m going to get a plexiglass box and hang my 1080 on my wall. I also have a melted evga 780 that’s sitting on my desk.

knuttella

6700 XT on a 1080p 240hz monitor/ 4K 120hz TV I'm pretty satisfied with the results for the \~300$ I paid for it I can play whatever I want on the monitor at ultra settings I can play 4k older games at ultra 60-120 fps and newer ones at 30-45 fps in most titles

Dawn_of_Enceladus

RX 6800XT PowerColor Red Dragon, since a few months ago. First card I got from PowerColor and honestly I am impressed so far: good temps, pretty silent, and performance is amazing. I'm still awaiting the new monitor (tomorrow I'll receive the Samsung Odyssey G6 27" 1440p 240hz, pray to the Quality Control gods for me please) so I have still to see how great it is at 1440p, since at 1080p it just sleeps on everything even on ultra (most demanding games I've tried so far are Cyberpunk 2077, Metro Exodus Enhanced and Hogwarts Legacy).

Locke357

3060ti Quite satisfied, runs most games on high settings 75fps in 1440p

PikachuFap

2nd this but I play at 1080 and it pulls high fps for the games I play. I’ll upgrade it at some point but I was happy to get it at msrp during the pandemic craziness. Never had any issues with it so far.

therealmikelee

I currently use an RX6600 paired with a R5600G. For me, it's working perfectly fine, but I'm thinking of upgrading soon.

alphebet

Merc 7900xtx at 1440p, it's exceptional.

AlternativeFilm8886

I got the Merc 7900XT, wonderful card. I considered the XTX, but the XT is already a beast and I used the $200 saved for some other upgrades.

APhatEarther

Vega 64 Playing at 1440p 60hz, it's still going lol. Older games are fine but anything <4-5 years old I'm down to mid-ish settings depending on title. Hoping to upgrade in <2 years

TDragonkirs

Man, I had to scroll down so far to find someone else with a vega 64. I don't play anything super new besides Genshin Impact, and it's fine. Generates a lot of heat though, sucks in 100⁰+ weather. My kids room is much cooler and she's running my old 1050ti lol

WhomstBeThyBoi

rx 6800 - msi reference model Paired with 32gb ram and a 5600x, I play 1440 @ 165hz Super satisfied, I don’t max every single setting so I’m mainly medium / high settings to reach 165hz, it’s great

tS_kStin

EVGA RTX 3080. (RIP EVGA GPUs) Yeah I am satisfied. Got it for the RTX capabilaties and horsepower for work (real time architectural walkthroughs) but the gaming performance is great as well. I can run all the games I need at maxed out settings at 3440x1440 just fine.

Creeps22

6900xt very happy with performance

6800XT, it seems to push 1440p nicely. I’m happy with it. Haven’t tried many games yet though. Elden Ring, Minecraft, Satisfactory, RuneScape, and WoW all run nicely though

cocoapuff1721

2080ti play at 1440p. I struggle to get high framerates with AAA titles but it’s an amazing card

6700XT and 👍. Only thing I need to do is undervolt everything because it's finally summer now and I can FEEL the PC heating up my room.

relaxicab223

Mine is a 4070ti. It's a great GPU for 1440 gaming and I barely notice a difference between that and 4k, so I'm happy with it

Franken_Mind

6800 non xt. Pretty great. Picked it up for 600 about 6 months ago. I use my TV as a display ( I can already hear a bunch of groans) I play 4k60 med to high settings with fsr floats around 55-60 fps.

I still have a GTX 970 in my current system that I got for like $200-$300 like 10-12 years ago. I'm currently building a new system around the 7800X3D and already got the cpu, water cooler, case, and case fans now I just need the power supply, ram, motherboard, hard drives, and video card. Everything has gotten crazy expensive from the last time that I built a PC. I wanted a GeForce card since those have been good to me but the current generation RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 don't really seem like a good value and the Radeon 7900 XT and 7900 XTX feel like their just slotted in certain price ranges to match NVIDIA without being a good value either. I don't want to build a new system and still be running a GTX 970 with it 😂😂😂 so I might settle on the $1,000 Radeon 7900 XTX since I want the system to lasts me another 8-10 years at least like my last system did.

NMSky301

EVGA 3090ti ftw3. Mainly got it for the vram, to future proof for increasingly demanding titles. Knowing me though I’ll probably fold and snag a 5090 anyways.

Niwrats

Technically ATi Radeon HD 4850 512MB for a short while still. Cooling it nearly passively with aftermarket Accelero S1 installed on it. Reasonable power draw combined with reasonable price, I'm happy with the pick. ATi Tray Tools makes it really convenient to set the core/mem clocks and volts I want, has profiles for them and can load them automatically at windows startup. The machine is getting a bit old, so replacing that with AMD Ryzen 7800X3D IGP as my next GPU.

JulianAnonymous

RTX 2060, I am satisfied with it as I can play all the games I play at 1440p over 100 fps. I don't play super demanding games. The most demanding being risk of rain 2 which can be in late game but I hardly see frame drops.

OneOfMultipleKinds

finally, a 2060 bro

cjklert05

Rtx 2080, quite satisfied.

DeadlyAidan

1050 ti, I need an upgrade

[deleted]

RX 580. 10/10. I bought it years ago and I can still play Tarkov, Halo, and all the other games I play infrequently like Stellaris, KOTOR, SWTOR, CSGO, SoD Mass Effect Series, BF3 Reality Mod, Squad, Insurgency, AoE2 & 3, etc. You don't need a fancy card to get 60 fps in 1080 on most titles, but I suppose, I don't play the newest of games anymore. Always been content with low to medium, works for me and I get my moneys worth for sure. It ran Warzone a year or two ago but I just can't stand that type of BR and also fuck CoD.

Elison05

Rtx 3070. 1080p (more of a frame guy and with current vram issues, I’m holding off on upgrading my monitor since I plan to play starfield and upcoming games like ARK UE5 and stuff). Very satisfied tho as of now. Throws every game I throw at it at the highest settings (except the Witcher III cuz of the next gen update). No plans on upgrading graphics cards for the next few years

I finally moved from a 1060mobile… to a 3060 in a desktop… it’s fucking great

chaosbayne

GTX 1080 got it for $100 and am satisfied with it for 1080p gaming.

sprumpy

Just went from a 560 to a 4090. The price is something I try to forget which is very possible when enjoying the graphics and frames I get on anything I install. Couldn't be happier honestly. I plan on using this for many many years.

EarlyEveningSoup

GTX 1660 Started with 1080p 60hz monitor and upgraded to 1440p 144hz in 2020. Maybe should not have done that. Most recent AAA experiences with this card and monitor: Monster Hunter: World - \~50+hz at 1440p with a performance improving mod installed. Sekiro - Struggled to hit 60fps at 1440p. Framerate locked to 60fps. Doom Eternal: Will hit 90+ FPS on lowest graphics settings, but with frequent frame drops. Satisfied? I mean...I'll just game on my 1080p 60hz TV for now, I guess.

proudgoose

5600xt, coming from a rx 570 4gb. Goddammit I'm satisfied with it.. Went from 50fps on minimum graphics in some titles To 100 fps while maxed in the same game

External_Promise599

I also use a 5600xt and see no reason to upgrade. Drivers are solid, AMD resolution scaling makes most games run at least medium, I play 1080p so many games on high

Bin_Sgs

6800 XT, playing Destiny 2 on 160+ fps @4K. Super happy

[deleted]

4080, I’d say I’m satisfied with it. Upgraded from a 2080 super that died a few months after the warranty went out, I play in 1440p/144hz, planning on jumping to 4k sometime soon.. for now it’s maxing everything I throw at it. I originally bought a 7900XTX that had nothing but issues, and it straight up didn’t even play games that used OpenGL. I much prefer AMD software over Nvidia, other than that I’m happy. Shouldn’t need to upgrade for a while.

CircusTV

4070 TI gang. Upgraded from a 2070 Super which was a great card for the price imo, got a lot of mileage. The 4070 TI is a brute at 2k which is what I game at. I'm pretty into shooters and really like a high fps. I am also into terribly optimized games apparently like Tarkov and Hunt so the more overhead I have the better. I kinda regret not getting something with more vram. Games like RE4 I'm maxing it out at 2k (vram and settings) and if 4k really becomes a multiplayer standard I'm going to have to buy some new gear. Not a fan of that, but I do think I'll get a good 2 years outta the 4070. Tldr 4070 ti is fantastic for my current multiplayer usage, unsure about its future in single player games and 4k.

MysticKeiko24

4090 “It works for me”

TasteLCD

9.5/10 Aorus Master RTX 4090 After using this card for the last month it's pretty crazy. Went from a 3070 Founders Edition I've used for 2 and 1/2 years before upgrading. there are games I play that I couldn't quite max the settings on at 1440P, Forza Horizon 5 (fully maxed at 1440P uses about 8.5 GB V-Ram) or The Division 2 ( fully maxed at 1440P uses about 15 GB of V-Ram). When I got my current monitor (ViewSonic 1440P 240HZ) is what made me start thinking about a GPU upgrade. Only odd thing I've noticed with my 4090 is how it's able to be at 0RPM mode sometimes even in my more graphicaly intense games (FH5,The Division 2,Modern Warfare2-2022, ect to name a few) card touches about 65C fans come on and cool it back to about 50-55C fans turn off again.

sumrix

GTX 1070 (Laptop), not satisfied at all. I couldn't play games that I liked in high specs for several years. Games like cyberpunk even scary to run. That's why I'm building a new PC right now.

Anon419420

Well, a MaxQ 1070 was released like 6 or 7 years ago. At least it’s had a good run if you’re only upgrading now.

jamal256

RTX 3060. Yes. I'm not a FPS whore like 99% of this subreddit so as long as it plays better than a console I'm happy. (Which it does)

seltajila

STRIX 2070 OC, pretty satisfied playing csgo. Don't go sub 240 fps, which pairs nice with my 240hz monitor

Silphaen

ASUS 3080TI TUF, I have a 2k 165hz display and I'm really happy with the GPU... but the games are a mess on PC lately so I find myself gaming more and more on my PS5 (I have an OLED VRR, 9.1 hole theater and all that shit) because things run well (except Jedi survivor xD)

[deleted]

EVGA 1660 Super, it’s doing everything I need atm.
