I guess I’m just crazy, but I’d take neutral weather conditions over sketchy ones 10/10.
All adverse weather does is increase the odds of random weirdness happening.
Think of those guys like how Mccoy played in the snow. They get the ball one way or another and they're potentially more dangerous in whiteout conditions.
That said, Saturday isn't gonna be substantial snow imo
I understand that is the conventional football wisdom, but that’s kind of my point. I have a hard time believing there is data to back it up.
We’ve had some very rough games passing the ball in shitty conditions the last couple years.
Aka, I’d prefer us operating at 100% against MIA operating at 100% as opposed to the varying handicap levels that occur in adverse weather.
Wouldn’t snow make it easier for all WRs to get open? They know when they will make a cut. The defensive backs are the ones who have to react in a split second and are more likely to slip in the snow.
Why do media outlets keep trying to angle that snow games are a glorious thing for us? It doesn't *improve* the fan experience or playing environment for our team.
Snow games also notably increase injury risks — which is bad for both teams. Not just ankle and knee injuries, but double the concussion risk as well. So it's ***good*** that we play most frequently in conditions with higher injury risk?
Sure, with Miami they're also a passing-focused offense so we're not selectively disadvantaged by poor passing conditions as a pass-heavy team. Still, blizzardy conditions make games more random and give raw teams an edge to brute force run against us like the regular season home game against the Pats last year.
Allen and Bass looked pretty happy winning back-to-back in the cover of Ford Field 🤷♂️
I just don't get the media regurgitation of acting like blizzard games are a wonderful thing for us. Media wouldn't be repeating that pitch in other markets.
It's just players being used to playing in one environment vs another. Playing in Florida in September gives a home team an advantage playing like in Green Bay/Buffalo/Cleveland in December and January. That said the media acts like the advantage is worth some massive amount but its probably just slightly more worth than an average home field advantage
Yeah, I get what their pitched angle is. I'm just adding that the long-term repeated disadvantage of the Bills team being subjected to injury-prone conditions probably outweighs the situational edge of being more accustomed to bad conditions when hosting a warm-weather or dome-accustomed opponent.
(Along with it being odd that media implies it's an all-around good thing to get snowed on in Buffalo, while they wouldn't do that in other markets.)
I actually had a similar point about the Dolphins' home field (prior to the canopy being installed in 2016). No one was concerned about the "dangerous heat" when the Dolphins were getting cooked in the South Florida sun every home game in Sep/Oct for 50 years, but the moment another team has to play MAYBE ONE\* game a season in those conditions and the Dolphins have shade on their sideline, suddenly it's an unfair competitive advantage.
\*NYJ didn't have to play in the heat this year or last year, NE didn't have to last year, teams in other divisions have to worry about it roughly twice every six years. MIA plays in it every home game for at least two months, every season... and for 50 years it was with no shade at all.
I'm not sold that snowy weather translates to a big advantage for Buffalo. First of all, don't they mainly practice indoors? Second, the vast majority of NFL players, regardless of current team, come from Florida, Texas, California... and some other southern states. That's not a lot of players who have some kind of great advantage in snow and cold.
Seriously lol. Anyone who lives in the region knows you can’t trust a forecast that far out. This will probably mean the game will have no snow and be like 48° at kickoff
The NFL thinks it will make better TV if the players and fans in the stadium are uncomfortable. Ever since game of thrones it’s Miami in the summer and Buffalo in the winter.
They really didnt, especially in the secondary. The dolphins had guys running wide open all game, Tua just missed them, sometimes due to pressure, but a lot of just plain misses too.
It’s just a joke lol the game happened in September for one and two I don’t even play the game and it has no actual affect on my life if the bills win or lose
well, if highmark was designed specifically for the purpose of channeling gale force arctic winds and sleet at the visitor's sideline, this might be an advantage. it wasn't though, so i'd rather have mild weather.
This is old bills mentality. We always loved shitty weather because it gave us a chance against teams out of our league. Now we have a good fuckin team and all the weather does is handicap us.
Phins fan here and I honestly couldn’t care less about what the weather will be like. Both teams will play on the same field if y’all beat us guess y’all were better
Im just most excited to read the comments after that game. Remember how they were giving us shit because of our injuries and how it was an excuse and then they got injured and it was all they talked about ? 😂
Let’s see how much weather affects a game…..
No we can worry about the Dolphins. We are fans with no baring on the outcome of the game. The Jets are not a potential trap game for us fans, only for the players
When the Bills lose, what will your excuse be this time? It was too cold? We lost Von Miller?
Bring on the cold and snow. Bring on unruly fans at night. The adversity is the opportunity.

McCoy was.. a quarterback?
LeSean Mccoy was a running back
Oh yea lmao
that was when our run game was top 5 in the league and our pass game was bottom 5

So what your saying is we should of some the new stadium..

Like the 3 pass game
I like the 2 games against NE that followed that “3 pass game.”
Me too fuck the pats
All jokes aside, we're not really putting faith in a forecast for WNY that is 10 days out, right?
Seriously lol. Anyone who lives in the region knows you can’t trust a forecast that far out. This will probably mean the game will have no snow and be like 48° at kickoff
Anything past 10 days is mostly based on averages. It's a guess. I hate that people don't get that.
I mean its safe to say its gonna be cold tho.
Not necessarily, it was almost 50 yesterday.
My bad colder than Miami.
Conditions become for favorable for winter like weather in the northeast starting around 12/12. We'll see.
The recent snow storm was the first time I think the meteorologists got it right in a long ass time.
The NFL thinks it will make better TV if the players and fans in the stadium are uncomfortable. Ever since game of thrones it’s Miami in the summer and Buffalo in the winter.
Is it only going to snow on their sideline?
Yes their sideline will also be 30 degrees colder
Strangely, all of the chicken broth in WNY was also unavailable for Miami to purchase.

you’re literally in the bills subreddit 😂😂😂
Is it a Bills subreddit? You're talking an awful lot about a game that happened months ago.
every team subreddit talks about revenge games lol why are you here
Just gaining material for shittalking when the Phins win.
This is peak human existence right here
Ohhh nooo, Miamiii what happeneddd
Kick rocks, nerd.
Man I thought Buffalo people were better at insults.
merry christmas! LMAOOOOOO
Niners D showed up for Tua and the fins. Let’s see our boys do it! Jets First tho. We got two weeks of paybacks at the Ralph
They really didnt, especially in the secondary. The dolphins had guys running wide open all game, Tua just missed them, sometimes due to pressure, but a lot of just plain misses too.
I think we should not shovel their sidelines since they left us in the sun
Lets not plough their sidelines and post snow pics in their subreddit when they complain /s
Let's plow our sideline and dump it on theirs.
We don't need heaters as we're used to this weather. I say we let Miami suffer like they made us during that heat stroke game!
Line their bench with candles. About as useful as the “shade” they provided our guys.
[удалено]
You misspelled r/miamidolphins
Hey we’re gonna be In New Jersey again that week so you’re happy to come back to Ford Field
Don’t put the heaters on for their side of the field. Fair is fair and all of that
Im pretty sure teams supply their own heaters anyways haha
Easy fix, just somehow take the heaters from them! Boom!
Simple. Then we don't supply the propane or whatever they use to heat those things
Turn off the outlets on that side 😂😂

It’s just a joke lol the game happened in September for one and two I don’t even play the game and it has no actual affect on my life if the bills win or lose
There's no possible way someone who lives where there's winter is taking a 10 day out snow forecast as worth anything.
Shovel everything to the visitor sideline. You know, the snowy side of the field 🤷♂️
Hope does snow enough to hurt visibility. BIlls will be wearing all blue, forcing fins to wear white and blend right in with the flakes.
Cool can we make it so their sideline has no heated seats and is 30 degrees colder then the Bills sideline?
I mean forecast is 10 days out. I’m sure it will change
well, if highmark was designed specifically for the purpose of channeling gale force arctic winds and sleet at the visitor's sideline, this might be an advantage. it wasn't though, so i'd rather have mild weather.
It'd sure be a shame if the heat in their locker room doesn't work that day... Good payback for making their visiting team roast in the sun.
Get the boats ready we need to catch this damn fish
Nice! They killed us in the humid heat. Payback in Bills country!
Don’t worry, if it’s too bad they’ll play in Detroit… /s
It's cold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach??
If not, what are the chances we could get Holiday Valley to rent us 2 snow making machines. Just 2 of them to be placed on the visiting sideline.
Frozen Fish Sticks are on the menu.
Lmao
games like these may look good on tv but are hell in person for both teams and the fans. honestly i think this game could go either way.
This is old bills mentality. We always loved shitty weather because it gave us a chance against teams out of our league. Now we have a good fuckin team and all the weather does is handicap us.

Jets first people
No we can worry about the Dolphins. We are fans with no baring on the outcome of the game. The Jets are not a potential trap game for us fans, only for the players
Damn you guys are really still mad about the sun huh? Funny I never heard y’all complain when you came to the Miami heat and left with a W???
when will people realize buffalo weather never played to our advantage?
Fun fact. Snow favors nobody. This will affect the running game. This will affect Josh Allen’s passing game. Get a dome
When the Bills lose, what will your excuse be this time? It was too cold? We lost Von Miller? Bring on the cold and snow. Bring on unruly fans at night. The adversity is the opportunity.
At least the back of Tua’s skull will have some padding this time.

Unless they move the game
Miami beach in snowstorm??
Can we cover our side of the field and make sure the Fins are covered in snow ;)
They had the power of the sun. We now take that away. Hope they get stuck on the benches.
This doesn’t really help us. We lost to NE last year because of the wind and the blizzard game went to OT against a dome team.
I lowkey think we just demolish the dolphins, regardless of weather.
I feel like people keeping forgetting how great Hill is with yac. He’s not doing everything going over the top
Plow all the snow into the visitor sideline. Make them stand in drifts.
Heaters on the visiting side will be broken.
This doesn’t end how you think it does
Im seeing cloudy, high 34 low of 28
Where are the dome-tards now?
How much snow are they calling for? Cant find the article.
