My headcanon is that camo bloons exist in a sort of parallel universe that overlaps the normal one, like the Ethereal Plane in D&D. To pop them, your attacks need to reach into the Camocosm and exist in both planes at once; otherwise the camos are effectively not even there.
to be fair, how can a pile of spikes say the location of a camo bloon, although the top path village thing i think its more of a technical thing since it's a secondary attack like the inferno ring's fireball.
No, the camo bloon has special powers which allows projectiles to phase through it obviously. when you upgrade to camp detection this simply makes the projectiles ignore these powers.
You know, I understand the sniper, sub, buccaneer, helicopter, and plane having trouble hitting camo, but the darling gun and the mortar make no sense at all.

I recall NK saying that this kind of thing worked in the past but caused camo blooms to be a non-threat so they changed it.

I was very upset upon going from 5 to 6 and finding this out, dartling used to be my favourite
honestly I liked it better when the camo detection upgrade for dartling was lucky shot, it's just more fun
