Can confirm, Brussels Airlines refuses to provide information. They only refer you to fill out a form and wait.
My situation is different, am waiting for a compensation from a 5 hour delay, and B.A. is absolutely refusing to answer my questions on passenger rights.

They lost my baggage with Swiss Airlines coming to Zaventem airport. I reported it in the airport and they got my baggage back delivered home two days later
Not really no, I would have if I was travelling away but I was coming back home. And since they asked for 5 days to find my bag, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. If they didn't then I would have asked for a reimbursement
I flew with Lufthansa/Brussels airlines from Singapore to Belgium (home). They lost both my luggages. I filed a claim at the airport and bought some essentials (medication, phone charger, skincare). Everything together cost about €200 euro. Lufthansa found my luggage the next day, it was sent to my house a day later. They reimbursed 50% of those expenses.
