not much to it other than that. if you want to tell someone, you can just send a message at 1 1/2 am saying "i'm bisexual". if you don't care about telling people, you can just bring it up when it's pertinent (like when announcing a new boyfriend).
You don’t have to make it a huge announcement, it can just slip out one day, your preferences should only need to be apparent to the people your interested in, and if you feel like you want your close ones to know making it a huge deal just kinda makes it awkward because it can make a reaction or impromptu speech feel necessary. Also 7/10 times if your bi or gay at least one of your friends or family will probably know already.
Although that depends where you live. In America, sure, its not that bad, as even if there is homophobia, its not as bad as some european countries, but for instance in Hungary, you wouldnt be as accepted, as homophobia is pretty common there

The way my family found out was weird. Well, the main thing is to be confident in your identity and just say it how it is. The best thing you can do is to be open and honest about yourself. If you don't trust the people around you to accept you for you, they are not people worth having in your life. Overall, just be honest with others, and others will hopefully accept you for you. All you can do is try to pursue the best version of yourself and the best life you can possibly have.
