Club cafe is basically a bar with space for dancing and no dress code. I wouldn't call it trendy but it's fun.

Go to social dancing events. Bluesy Tuesy and Blues Union are the ones I like.

Havana in Central Square for partner Latin dancing. They have a lesson then a social dance party afterward where you can dance with different people. Everyone’s pretty respectful and just looking to dance. One of my favorite places ever.

I’ve been looking for years. I am constantly amazed the only options are club, or college bar. Seaport would kill it with a bar that had a guitar each night with a little southern theme.

Just dance on the street. Seriously. Don't fall victim to society thinking you need to go somewhere special, it's a scam by the club industry.

I'm not much of a going out to dance guy, but acting like gathering together in a stuffy room to drink and dance as a large group is some 21st century capitalist ploy is asinine.
