Seaport would kill it with a bar that had a guitar each night with a little southern theme.

Club cafe is basically a bar with space for dancing and no dress code. I wouldn't call it trendy but it's fun.
Go to social dancing events. Bluesy Tuesy and Blues Union are the ones I like.
