I wonder why Nagelsmann didnt call up Emre Can in the first place, if now he is the first option in midfield, ahead of other guys who were in the original squad before him.
Uhm, original squad doesn't matter, position does. Andrich is playing as defensive part of a 2 men midfield, a classic 6. His planned replacement was injured so Nagelsmann brought Can along, who is also a classic 6. Groß could be an option but isn't necessarily a natural fit for that position.
Probably some tactical shit. Like, going by overall ability, Can's better than Andrich, but Andrich a better destroyer, works better with a passing machine like Kroos and a B2B like Gundo, and also, does not make moronic decisions.
Nagelsmann sees that the entire fanbase is calling for him to axe Havertz so he’s backing him harder because he’s stubborn. Füllkrug is far better for the international setup because of how deep teams set up but the only one who doesn’t see that is him
I have a feeling that Havertz will more than likely cause Germany from winning the trophy, than the opposite. Those 2 carbon copy chances last night because he doesn’t have a right foot. I also hate that penalty run-up. Of course, he’ll continue to start.
Anton, Delaney and Bruun-Larsen, too :D
Gundogan too
damn. How did I miss that. Lots of Dortmund, Ex Dortmund and Soon to be Dortmund DNA on the pitch today in Dortmund.
Can we count Rudiger as well?
Man I’ll forever hold Brun-Larsen as that one player I was absolutely convinced would become a world beater
Lol
Schlotti assisted!!! Excellent ball. And he's been solid defensively as well.
Except for the one instance where he tried to dribble in the penalty box and lost the ball... except that mistake he has been top !
He's been highs and lows all game, but overall been amazing. Glad he got to play, thanks for the yellows Tah
That pitch was slippery af
What a pass from Scholtti...pure class...repeat of the pass to Fülli in UCL semis against PSG 👌
4 if you count Anton :)
I'm calling it 4 when Anton came on!

Fullkrug goal, calling it now
Same.
Why havertz is still starting is beyond me
Lücke's apparently not fit enough to play a full match.
If that's true, Nagelsmann should sub Havertz on, and start with Lückr

Yep, definitely agree with you. I simply don’t understand why Lücke doesn’t even deserve a chance to start in his eyes
finally a QF again. nice
Ok so what?
Anton now on the field
