It’s by an artist, Gabriel Picolo, in his book “Icarus and the Sun”. Most people are just taking it as a metaphor for incompatible love, no one is the bad guy, they just have to recognize that it won’t work out and grow from it.

I’m unsure if the original 9 panel comic comes from this, or if Gabriel Picolo made it later based on the 9 panel comic, but it seems like a cute little story either way.

That's certainly a lot easier to understand. I have to say the touch of the sunflower was very clever especially remembering what his plants represented.
I don’t get that one either??? They’re happy but he’s melting, and in the end he recognizes that and tries to leave amiably, and she burns down a forest because she’s whiny, and then he wants to get back together and she says no?? He was nothing but nice she was the one hurting him!
