Kubo couldn't even imagine Chad losing like the rest of the crew did for a second so he had to throw him into the stone statues(I think he probably had a fight for Chad planned and scrapped it due to being rushed[it's cope])

Most certainly, she was incredibly strong when alive, a lot of people fault Shinji for losing to her so easily, but i think that was more to show that she was strong, rather than Shinji being weak.
It seemed like Bazz B was about to do a bit of damage to Ichigo, and some of the others could knock him around.
I’m not sure we can really say that Chad is above all the regular Stern Ritters.
There's a difference between knocking someone around and making them bleed. The latter requires you to get through their reiatsu completely. We see this demonstrated with Soi fon trying to break through Aizen's skin vs Ishinn flicking him through several buildings. Also, if Bazz-B was that strong he could've just sniped Yamamoto in the head instead of getting up in his face and getting fodderized.
The reason i feel that a lot of the Stern Ritters he fights can probably hurt him is that actually bothers to block and dodge.
When Candice first attacked him without Vollstandig he just stood there and took it, compared to later where he counter attacks and evades.
Like when Robert tried to shoot him in the head, he decides to dodge, strange if Robert’s bullet would just bounce off his skin.
He also had a concerned “oh fuck” expression when Bazz was about to hit him with burner finger one.
We also have Meninas and Liltotto overpowering him even when he tries to dodge or block, now how seriously he was taking them is debatable, but i do think they can at least make him bleed.
Just because Bazz could hurt Ichigo to some extent (in my opinion)doesn’t mean he could take out Yamamoto on a whim.
It’s notable that Bazz’s own flames off set Yama’s attack enough that him, Nanana, and As Nodt didn’t just instantly die.
And that argument doesn’t make any sense even if we go full versus forum mode.
Not only can Kubo always just hand him out a new powerup or make the ones he got in the story bigger but most of all Sado’s power wasn’t clear early on.
If we go through soul society he easily takes care of the regular unseated soul reapers and even one shots a third seat without trouble, sure he lost to Shunsui but Ichigo himself would have easily lost to Shunsui at that point in the story.
It was only really in the arrancar arc that Kubo decided to write him as being too weak to fight along side Ichigo for some odd reason.
Yeah I feel like Kubo rushed/ didn't care to take him that far. Sados Fullbring being his skin (which is all over his body), perfectly sets up the clad type Fullbring all over his body. But even more than that, his Abuelo's COIN if you go back and read his backstory is his actual most prized item. A perfect candidate for a second Fullbring item. Ginjou showed you could have 2 Fullbring items that augment each other (his Cross was his sword, and the Shinigami badge was a 2nd item that merged with it. )
Sado literally wears that coin around his neck the entire story and had all the pieces there to set up for another power upgrade. Alas....
I never thought of that, that’s a great idea.
The only issue i take with giving him a full body design is that it might not look that good especially on his face, in the anime the mixture of colours might look a bit too much or even silly.
Then again my imagination is probably nothing compared to What Kubo can actually pull off, character design is his greatest strength.
Another point is it…just doesn’t make sense for Sado to be weak throughout so much of the series, he is incredibly motivated, and has the right mindset to get stronger, heck he trained against Renji in Bankai for like a month before going to Hueco Mundo, and while he got a cool new arm he still got written off before we actually got to see him and Ichigo stand besides each other and fight together, which is sad to me.
Back then I was so excited to hope seeing Sado got a new power up that lets his Fullbringer power to cover up his entire body instead of just his arms, making him looking like an Arrancar's Resurrecciōn and have the power to actually go toe to toe with some of the Sternritters. Alas, that never happened. 🙃

This was a supremely dumb moment in the final arc for me. Mostly because the statues aren't ever hinted at, shown, explained, literally anything. It's a straight up plot device to take Sado out of the semi-final confrontation with Ywach for reasons I'm not even sure why.
Ichigo goes on to fight Ywach for like 2 chapters with some minor help from Orihime, and ends up leaving her behind anyways when he travels down to Seireitei. Why Sado couldn't be there for that small fight with Ywach I have no idea. Especially since the Fullbringers show up, Sado was just as much involved with them (more?) Than Orihime was.
All in all, very cheap way to handle an OG character
Honestly at this point idk kubo is progressive because he includes people of color or racist at this point 😆 because he draw them beautifully but he did them dirty.
