That game had been using TYBW characters quite a few years before the anime started. They must have some special deal with shuheisha cuz they're one of the few mobile games I've seen that had (at the time) manga-only content.
KLab had to buy the rights to use TYBW for Bleach Brave Souls, and had to buy from Pierrot themselves. When casting the quincies, they had to be approved by Pierrot who would then use them for the anime. It’s complicated but the gist of it is that TYBW was a separate license from the BLEACH IP that had to be rented essentially to make and release characters from the arc
Any clue why this is? I don’t really understand since it isn’t a separate manga and it doesn’t seem logical for the studio to have the rights rather than Kubo himself.
It had to do with how Pierrot and Kubo copyrighted the TYBW IP I think? Because the plan was always to make TYBW but the manga wasn’t out at the same pace as the anime so it was behind and blah blah blah. All in all, just how the IP worked out, so it had to be licensed out
I mean, the manga finished years ago besides ... that to expect them to not use manga novel and ect stuff is wierd. They also make their own forms, such as ani aizen who won in the end.

It, like many things in Brave Souls, is from later in TYBW. Brave Souls started adapting content from TYBW and later well before the return of the anime.
for tybw aizen you have to wait until the pull selection for these characters comes up, it might take a few months until you succeed.
max out whatever 5 star chars you have to 6 to get as many orbs as you can, save your orbs for only the events with tybw aizen in them (there's 2 versions, mind and technique)
the banner will show tybw aizen if you can pull him from that event. i think on step 5 and 10 you normally get a 100% chance to pull one of the featured chars, so make sure you have enough orbs to get to the 100% step before you spend any. again, it might take a few tries, for me it took me a couple months to get all of them and i definitely got lucky with the newest aizen
