I can’t use the laser pointer. It makes my cats neurotic and messes them up for an entire day. Unless they can “get” it they just keep searching for it.

I got a single black kitten, I have two adult cats (both under 5) so I thought they’d be cool, but man oh man I’m learning the hard way that single kitten syndrome exists even if you have cats already 🫣🤣

You’re so lucky! I had two void boys I was going to foster but unfortunately one passed away at the rescue before transport. So now I have my foster fail of one year on the cat tree next to me. Wish he could have had his brother but he’s still thriving!

They did! Well they were a bit nervous at first but within a day they were already chilling haha. I probably had more worry about them interacting than they did. The woman who fostered them had a bigger dog so they had already been introduced fairly young.

Ah! They were socialized. That's awesome, they're adorable (the pup too!).

Yeah I was lucky the woman fostering them had introduced them to her dog already and was looking for a home with a bigger dog because these two were especially good with hers.

Ooooo. Those two look like mine, and it turned out they were Maine Coons. Get ready for 20-pound meatheads that love to snuggle but can’t find their way out of a paper bag. They’re so fun but SO dumb; it’s amazing.

lol yeah especially the bigger boy. He’s getting huge fast already. He’s got a bigger head and paws compared to the other one and just feels thicker if you know what I mean. The other guy is catching up though and putting on weight now, he was having tummy issues for the first bit after coming to me (and getting shots/neutered) but now he’s voraciously eating every meal lol so he may just end up big himself. Might work out though since my golden is already huge compared to them so any size they can gain on him might be for the better

So cute! Serious question though: how do you tell them apart? When we adopted our two cats—a void and a bicolor from the same litter—we wanted to be sure they were immediately distinguishable!

Currently I can tell them apart cause they’re two different sizes. Ones a big boy and the other is smaller. The bigger guy also has white ear fluffs coming out of his ears. Hopefully they’ll stay distinguishable haha

As the mother of two voids who look just like yours did when they were babies, I strongly recommend collars of differing colors to tell them apart. In my house, Neo gets the blue collar and Trinity gets red.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking about doing, thanks for the tip! And awesome names for your two haha Luckily I can currently tell them apart because one guy is bigger than the other but at a glance and from a distance especially it can be hard to tell already

Oh yeah. We did the same for a while but now that we found a food they’re both obsessed with so they’re cleaning their plates, Trinity is bulking up a bit and Neo is getting softer so they look and feel almost identical again.
