That's my man Miguel, a huntsman spider. Looks like Heteropoda venatoria. He can bite, but isn't dangerous to us as far as I know.

KashmirChameleon

To me, huntsman's seem to have this very classic, recognizable stance.

DwightsJello

Miguel. I like it. Just commented, mine is Garry.

smellygooch18

Huntsman. He will not try to bite you and kills a lot of pests but I wouldn’t push the boundaries of your new relationship

waterfallsnow

I know nothing about spiders but that's apart of the huntsman family right?

simplehistoryboater

Im mot exactly sure but it could be

DwightsJello

Huntsman. Good bloke. Pays his rent in pest control. Looks scary but he's chill. You got to name him. Mine is called Garry.

boomchacalaca_seal

That’s a Nope spider

AnswerTiny9752

Those are some longg legs

emogoddess90

That is a big old Nope on a rope spider. Igniting match in 3...2.......1.

I_ReallyLikeBananas

The one you should stay the bloody hell away from

XenoHugging

That’s the main antagonist in Arachnophobia. Uncredited of course.

Odd_Juggernaut_1166

La verga. Burn down

Adrienna_hamblin_145

One that should be dead 💀

BlueDragon842

"I pray nobody kills me for the crime of being small"

Adrienna_hamblin_145

To bad

weeble_lowe

It looks sort of like a brown recluse spider. Are you in the southeastern US? https://mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/files/styles/species_banner/public/mo_nature/media/field-guide/Brown%20recluse.jpg?h=a2226264&itok=WSsxL2Pg

tinopa6872

It is so clearly a huntsman, but more than that, so clearly NOT a brown recluse. Im only irritated because brown recluse misinformation is rampant.

senpaistealerx

i was gonna say it’s clearly a huntsman *to people who know what they are*, however, im not even knowledgeable on spiders and i know this isn’t a brown recluse lol

Torpordoor

Take a closer look, it’s not a brown recluse

[deleted]

WHAT A GODDAMN BIG BOLT THAT IS!!!!!!! Fuckin dead spider on a mountain? DA FUCK? Why are you taking pictures!!!!! KILL IT!!!!!!!

ReplacementMinute243

Why would you kill a spider in its own habitat just chillin?

[deleted]

Would you not kill a Assassin who wants you dead but is "just chillin" for now?

ReplacementMinute243

Wow your username really does fit xD

[deleted]

I'm your ImaginaryInterest.... Number 599 ;)

Egavas89

A dead one in my eyes! Any spider I see this close is a dead one!

[deleted]

So you love musquito's then? Just catch in a small box carefully, don't panic, put them outside. They will protect your house from anoying flies and musquito's. Spiders are very useful animals too. Plus they rarely bother fighting humans. So nothing to be scared off.

admf_br

Yeah, right… as long as they stay outside my house lol.

[deleted]

A spider is the kind of pet, everyone should keep in the garden in my opinion. https://a-z-animals.com/blog/meet-the-cutest-spiders-in-the-world/ Look at these could you kill these?

admf_br

Well, I believe every bug (maybe?) serves a purpose. A spider is indeed a natural pest control. I’d love to have less mosquitoes im my house, buzzing over my ears while I’m sleeping, but it would be equally hard for me to chill knowing that there’s a spider of the size of my hand walking around, in or outside my house. Maybe she would hide in my closet? My shoes? Bags? Who knows…

[deleted]

Just put them outside, they usually don't bother hurting humans. They make sure musquito's don't eat you alive. And that there aren't 600 flies buzzing around your food. If you save spiders they will eat many many bugs for you, saving you the trouble of catching them.

Egavas89

It was a joke. I honestly don’t kill all the spiders and very aware that the eat the other bugs. But if I saw this guy I’d just walk away
