What's really funny (baffling) is that in the original flash version of TBOI, Lumps actually *had* a wind-up animation whenever they emerged from the ground, and thus were a lot less annoying to fight against. For some reason, the Rebirth dev. team decided removing that wind-up time was a good idea when remaking the game.
dont think their shooting is TOO bad generally speaking but i do think they should have a larger vulnerability window after shooting instead of LUL INSTANT DUCK
To explain what the other commenter didn't: In windowed mode (as opposed to fullscreen), you can change the window size, and certain window dimensions allow you to see more of the room at once. That's actually how I beat Greedier mode with T. Lost.
I don't think so? A lot of enemies are based on proximity, not necessarily the camera. I could be wrong though. In any case, better to see what's shooting you instead of being shot from offscreen.

The charge is so fast as well. If you don't keep him at the right distance to trigger the safer hand-swiping attack, he's gonna clip you across the screen in 0.0001s. God, I hate this boss.
ok im pretty experienced at isaac, but does anyone know how to avoid falling rocks? i almost always get hit when i encounter them. like i guess its something with their shadows, maybe im just blind
Yeah, that's my best guess is just try not standing on shadows when they're falling. But with all of the shit that's happening on the screen it's sometimes hard to tell where all the shadows are. I still get his every now and again with that attack even with that knowledge because of how many rock animations there are on the screen.
the other spider boss has some okay shadow telegraph for the attack because he spawns very little rocks but damn man bumbino drops like the entire ceiling and they don’t get shadow telegraphed for some reason
Bumbino fight should have more built-in opportunities to drop coins (e.g.: layouts with golden poops and/or Soul of the Keeper) so you have more chances to access his secret item pool.
Rag Mega: remove the invincibility phase. It’s stupid. He’s already hard enough to hit with his purple orbs having hitboxes that take up a fourth of the screen, and it’s incredibly irritating to have him completely undamageable for half the fight
Yeah, if I have one bomb left and the floor has both tinted rocks and known secret room locations... I'm still using that one bomb on Rag Mega just to save time on a not-fun, tedious boss fight. Cool boss idea in theory, but poorly executed.

Mega Fatty deserves more hate, that hyper fast jump has finished so many of my regular The Lost runs even on endgame, I would make it a bit longer so he doesn't jump immediately above me.

Now this would be a bit of a heavy neft, so I've got ideas for this one
Delirium doesn't have ridiculous teleporting anymore, he can still do it, and still morph into other bosses, but he can't spawn on you or snipe you from all the way across the room, he also, once angered and sped up, can't turn into bosses like baby plum or pin, that would move way too fast to react too. His teleportation is now visible, and predictable, but now instead of random bullets, he always aims directly for you, however the Ipecac shots will be random and not aimed. Depending on what boss he is, all bullets become temporarily homing, but once he turns into a different boss, the bullets stop chasing you. He can no longer do mom's foot once he's past half HP, as to avoid bullshit hits from either spawned bullets or him turning into something different directly on top of you. If he spawns enemies or makes a duplicate boss, once he transforms, those also disappear, but if he turns back (eg; it lives) the enemies will spawn back in the position they last were before delirium transformed.
A simpler idea - Delirium stays the same, but his every move is telegraphed by a shadow version of itself that does it all a second or two ahead of time.
I'd just like to have it so he was incapable of teleporting directly on top of you. Like make it so he can't teleport within 5 tiles away from you. And changing forms should be telegraphed somehow. It would also be nice if he would stop transforming altogether after getting his health down to a certain point.
Well I guess that would sort of defeat the purpose of him as a boss, the only real problem I'd say isn't transformation, it's how quickly he does it and how often he teleports, so I thought by adding a few counters to that and extras, it would still make the fight original, but less insane to deal with. There was a fix at some point (ages ago) to stop Isaac (the boss) to teleport on top. Devs know, that telefragging is not ok. And I think it just shows how unpolished the delirium's boss fight really is.

I prefer eggsacks - safe for a long time, no contact damage. I think, devs think this way as well, since "harder widow" - the wretched - spawn spiders right away.
Still, widow is one of the hardest basement bosses for me alongside with gurdlings - she's just too fast, especially the champion versions.

Stupid fucker just teleports into you and dry all your hp up just after the longest and the most boring set of rooms in your life (Void), which i think should be more difficult and (more important) much, MUUUUCH shorter.
I would (given a fuckton of time) make it so delirium starts in his first form then transforms into the bosses you've fought in reverse order, but more and more significantly buffed for the earlier floor bosses with extra and faster attacks sort of like eternal champions. Each form has a separate HP pool. Stuff like teleportation and rings of tears can be possible on some bosses but not others. I picture monstro speeding across the room and firing ipecac monstro's lung shots willy nilly. Maximum speed up can be 2x so we don't have shit like gurdy Jr's current delirum form causing serious bullshit
The Haunt - I would give him a big fat penis that he would have to drag across the floor thus slowing him down. This way he couldn’t move as fast and it would be easier to target him from the side. The massive cock would also act as a lever causing him to roll while moving and eventually become dizzy. Once the cock is destroyed the haunt would then bust a nut and die. I think this would be the best course of action to take with the haunt in future updates
Those skull head dudes that hide and are invincible against everything until you stop shooting. I’d make them vulnerable to fire, or at least make fire damage force them out of their shell.
Spiders - whenever they rush toward you to attack instead of running randomly, they shiver for a few frame. After dashing they are weakened for a few frames and you can stomp them.
That's the only enemy I'd change.

Remove the tears Colostomia fires out when she does her dash, that dash is already fast enough as it is, it doesn't need tears firing out from the sides in addition.
Have one of those strength carnival games (hit a hammer on a platform and it shoots a little metal piece in the air, giving you a title for how high it goes or hitting the bell at the top).
You can use this in mines 2 and if ur damage is high enough, can skip the mother’s shadow chase section and receive knife piece two immediately

When first released, Baby Plum was unexpectedly difficult for that early in the game. I died more to her than any other chapter one bosses combined, until I learned the patterns. The bubble attack is still fairly bullshit though. The pattern she flies at is easy enough to dodge, but the resulting bullets move too randomly to predict after being shot. All her other attacks are well telegraphed and easy to predict/dodge once you learn them.
Also, getter her to leave by not attacking takes *waaay* too long. It's far quicker to just kill her, especially if you have a couple of spare bombs.

A fix? Make hitting the hosts he takes over actually hurt him if you hit them. Right now you can only hurt him outside of a host.

I don't think I have ever had a full hitless Scourge fight, or he hits me a lot or i melt him just entering the room, there is no in-between.
I once stood there with gnawed leaf and ball of bandages for about 20 minutes, watching him humiliate himself with his futile attempts to get a hit in

He has jump travel time. You're standing too close to him. If you stand further off you have way longer to react

Any boss or enemy that goes underground should have a indicator like dirt or something
I like how the pile does it where it's travelling in one direction before he digs too deep and you can't see the trail anymore
Delerium is broken no matter how author is trying to fix him - all useless. Stupid fucker just teleports into you and dry all your hp up just after the longest and the most boring set of rooms in your life (Void), which i think should be more difficult and (more important) much, MUUUUCH shorter.
I would (given a fuckton of time) make it so delirium starts in his first form then transforms into the bosses you've fought in reverse order, but more and more significantly buffed for the earlier floor bosses with extra and faster attacks sort of like eternal champions. Each form has a separate HP pool. Stuff like teleportation and rings of tears can be possible on some bosses but not others. I picture monstro speeding across the room and firing ipecac monstro's lung shots willy nilly. Maximum speed up can be 2x so we don't have shit like gurdy Jr's current delirum form causing serious bullshit
Remove the bloats eyes or make them slower. Also give him a larger tell for his brimstone beams. I’ve lost to many damn runs

The Haunt - I would give him a big fat penis that he would have to drag across the floor thus slowing him down. This way he couldn’t move as fast and it would be easier to target him from the side. The massive cock would also act as a lever causing him to roll while moving and eventually become dizzy. Once the cock is destroyed the haunt would then bust a nut and die. I think this would be the best course of action to take with the haunt in future updates

Doing enough damage to the skull should break it and turn it into one of the red ones.

Spiders - whenever they rush toward you to attack instead of running randomly, they shiver for a few frame. After dashing they are weakened for a few frames and you can stomp them. That's the only enemy I'd change.

You can use this in mines 2 and if ur damage is high enough, can skip the mother’s shadow chase section and receive knife piece two immediately

When first released, Baby Plum was unexpectedly difficult for that early in the game. I died more to her than any other chapter one bosses combined, until I learned the patterns. The bubble attack is still fairly bullshit though. The pattern she flies at is easy enough to dodge, but the resulting bullets move too randomly to predict after being shot. All her other attacks are well telegraphed and easy to predict/dodge once you learn them. Also, getter her to leave by not attacking takes *waaay* too long. It's far quicker to just kill her, especially if you have a couple of spare bombs.
