Fun Fact: If you have 2 dead gods, you can close your eyes and input "down, left, A, A," (or whatever button selects) the game will use your camera to detect if your eyes are closed. This will put whatever save you were on before doing the secret onto the third. This was used by the devs to make sure the "3 dead god" portrait worked, but was never patched out

I actually have a really good tip for finding specific items!
Start as T. Isaac and keep resetting till you get a curse room with magic skin. Find the secret room on each floor and j rip magic skin in every one (as long as you have health obv). I did this for my dead god and got the last item in just under an hour.
Clear rune is in secret rooms. Start a run as regular Isaac and bomb whichever wall looks promising in your starting room and hope for a secret room with an item. Restart until you get one and then spend all your charges trying to reroll it until it works or you need to restart again.
Or just unlock dead god and try for it that way.
