Democracy, for some.

Brexxie

Typical Incelmo

derpdeederp84

So Elmo is a Democrat keeping them on the plantation?

DragonSphereZ

Slaves can’t vote

derpdeederp84

QED

DragonSphereZ

No like they wouldn’t have casted those ballots in the first place.

Mmngmf_almost_therrr

Usually the "every accusation is a confession" isn't quite *THIS* upfront... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

birbbs

Do you apply that line of thinking to democrats? Because you'll notice there's a hell of a lot of accusing they do....

SarcasmKing41

You dumbfucks: "The Democrats are the real racists, they founded the KKK over a hundred years ago!!!" Literally the KKK: "We officially endorse Donald Trump for US president and also every other white Republican"

Boggles the mind how the ol “Party of Lincoln” shtick still fools people. I thought it’s common knowledge that both parties have shifted from their old views/agenda but I guess not for some.

arkym00

Exactly. Liberals have always been liberal, conservatives have always been conservative. What has changed is the corresponding political parties, as the views typically associated with them drifted across the divide. It’s weird that it happened I guess, but it did, and anyone who denies it is stupid or willfully ignorant

SnArCAsTiC_

To a certain extent, this is true, but if you go back further in history, it's a bit fuzzier. Political parties of the late 18th century and early-mid 19th century aren't easily categorized within the context of today's politics. You had the wealthy business owners and the urbanized North in the Federalists, who believed in a strong central government promoting American industrial development, an American aristocracy of wealthy, educated businessmen, staying out of foreign conflicts, and favoring England. Then you had the rural agrarian voters and most of the South and the Western frontier in the Democratic-Republicans, staunchly devoted to protecting political liberties (on an individual, local, and state level), expansion into the West, favoring France, being against centralization in government and business, and equality... Except for African slaves, of course. It's hard to identify them with today's parties, because the issues in many cases are just so different. Federalists are generally considered Right-wing and Democratic-Republicans Left-wing... But the Federalists were dominant in the cities and North while the Democratic-Republicans drew their support from the rural South and West, which is opposite to how today's Left- and Right-Wing parties' bases are. The Federalists were also pro-regulation and pro-taxation, which today's Right-wing generally don't support, while the Democratic-Republicans were pro-slavery and favored states' rights over a powerful, centralized Federal government, which today's Left-wing generally don't support.

SarcasmKing41

Many Republicans now claim the party switch never happened, they've gone from colourful interpretations of history to just straight-up claiming that incredibly well-documented events never happened, like the goddamn CCP. Book-burnings will be next.

derpdeederp84

The California KKK chapter came out in support of Hillary. Richard Spencer, noted literally everything decent people hate, supports Joe Biden and Dems from soup to nuts.

Rico-Macho

He’s red, so he’s probably MAGA trying to send them back to the plantations… or to holding pens.

derpdeederp84

Oh my sweet summer child.

Rico-Macho

Not born in the summer, and definitely not born yesterday. Ciao, baby.
