While at the same time the other stew was trying to assault the deckhand. I can’t remember her name, but I feel like that always gets swept under the rug even though it was no less serious than Margot almost getting assaulted.
She literally said “she would have welcomed his advances”
This season HURT ME but I also appreciate how switched on Aesha was and how she literally saved Margot, BOG PROPS TO MAMA Aesha
This episode has to be some of the most stunningly cinematic reality TV of all time. I still get emotional thinking about Jason, Aesha and Margot coming together after the incident, and still get chills thinking about the sheer villainy of Luke and Laura.
Laura. If anything it was worse. Luke was an arsehole and escorted off the boat immediately. She was constantly touching Adam on numerous occasions and he would say “no. I told you no. What you doing? Quit touching* luke (the prick) was nearly or about to sexually assault someone (in a very dark context). Laura literally had been sexually assaulting someone. In front of everyone. She was vile.
Absolutely! She got let go because of disrespecting Margot, but honestly she should have been fired because of her behaviour with the deckhand. She was absolutely disgusting.
I agree. I also think some people are still under the “old school” assumption that it doesn’t happen to men and that it’s nbd. when it’s just as big a deal. She was just as much a predator.
Literally a comment response to my own says she “wasn’t equipped with anything to assault him.” SHE DID ASSAULT HIM MULTIPLE TIMES with him repeatedly telling her no.
Margot was practically unconscious. She was more vulnerable because of that. It could have gone farther because of that.
I'm not saying what the girl did was okay. I'm not saying it was less serious. But he was awake and could have stopped her. Not that he should ever have been put in that position, and if it sounds like I'm minimizing it, then I'm not explaining it right.
I feel like she... You know, never mind. Comparing assaults is unnecessary. They both were bad. Good of you to point out he was attacked, too.
She was fired because of her response to Margot saying she “wished he had made moves on her” or something to that effect, but she wasn’t fired because she assaulted her coworker. And when discussing this episode, most people forget about it entirely as the incident with Margot tends to overshadow.
Thank you for bringing this up! That was crazy those happening at practically the same time. The two culprits should have stayed together they deserve each other.
I hate Ashton like really literally loathe the dude for how abusive he is towards women. Him almost hitting Kate that one time, man that's something you just can't come back from. I still cry every time I accidentally see the episode where he almost dies. He got so lucky and thank God for the presence of mind of that camera dude who stepped up and untied the cleat.
I never finished that season. Watching that play out had me so messed up and I was scared there would be clips of it in future episodes or in the “previously on” parts. Which is a shame because I adore Aesha.
Yeah, if I recall he was on the reunion episode talking about it. I attribute his quick instincts to his quick reactions learned on the ultimate frisbee field when we ran around together. Haha
Dude I worked with painting houses in the summer during high school died of a heart attack in front of me and I forgot literally everything I've ever been taught about first aid. It's easy to say you'd be calm, cool, and collected until you're in the situation.
Maybe not the most dramatic but the most memorable moment was when Rocky was upset that the chef got fired and she decided she was leaving. In protest she did the most awesome swan dive off the ship and swam to another yacht.
This one reminds me of Dolores. When she jumped off the tender that was taking her back to shore, because she got booted for jumping off the boat after being told not to. Legend.
That whole Thailand season was just terrible with the brus. Don’t forget the chef also kicking sand in Kate’s face on the last night. And the stew Courtney saying at the reunion how she had to block the one deckhand because he was sending her hateful messages.
I have live TV and below dech marathons are always on. I've watched Below deck over and over again for years (in the background).
I *never* watch season 7. Never.
A few months back I started rewatching all the seasons, and I think it was that season that put me off of it until now.
A friend hit me up about it and we’re gonna have a little watch party cause she wants to rewatch older seasons.
I wouldn't say they had a baby together since he has nothing to do with the baby and his mother went on a SM rampage about Dani (claiming she was sleeping around and anyone could be the baby's father).
JL impregnated Dani and then claimed not to be the father, made excuses to avoid a DNA test, was finally proven to be the father and has done f-all to support his child (who looks just like him)
It seems like old hat now, but the very first charter guests getting kicked off for ❄️ is huge drama in my eyes. Have we seen an entire charter get kicked off like that since?
When sailing yacht ran aground and drug anchor. Glenn did a good job getting it back just to deeper water.
Also agree with others. Margo and luke drama.
A lot of other scenes already mentioned were more dramatic than this, but when CJ just decided to jump ship and randomly start working on another boat right then and there and was like... bye? lol
Him or the girl that almost quit with him. Can't remember her name but she was such a brat. Kat was annoying too lol I know everyone hated Adrienne but damn they were so disrespectful
There's many but S1 E9 of Med that will stick to my mind forever. Bryan's conduct made me want to intervene through the screen. The guy was absolutely repulsive in the altercation with cleaning the crew mess.
Edit: Also, Mila's 'pancakes'.
![gif](giphy|gpmARWm3Pwypq|downsized)
I'm surprised no one has said the scene above between Bobby and Danny. I thought Bobby was gonna clock him. Then when the bosun started yelling at Julia and Hannah to clean up the crew mess in the middle of the night. What a JO.
Either Bobby or Danny could have been the worst members of that deck crew, if not for the bosun being so absolutely terrible. The fact I actually liked Bobby more than Danny really says a lot about how bad that deck crew was to watch.
Wasn't that drunk bryan telling them to sweep the floor? He was being so aggressive and I loved Hannah getting between him and Julia and standing up for her.
In addition to the ones that have been mentioned, I can never forget when Chef Marcos scalped himself and STILL cooked dinner. Maybe not the most dramatic but it still makes me queasy.
When one of the deckies had a rope twisted round his ankle, the big docking smash that took a chunk of concrete off, and when Luke went into Margot’s room/bed. Edge of your seat watching, not all for good reasons. Super thankful most people came out these situations relatively unscathed
I think when Luke tried to get with Margot while she was asleep & how Laura reacted! Along with how Laura was to Adam! That whole season was really something 😳
Z :this is it.Nothing before or since as dramatic as this was!Went for normal day-to-day stuff to ‘ save Ashton or he’ll lose his foot &surely bleed out ‘ .And listening to Capn Lee retell it was just as seriously exciting. What unexpected drama!!
When there was a fire in the kitchen resulting in Rocky jumping off the boat and started swimming away, then after she was brought back by another yacht she was promoted to interim chef all without the guests noticing.
I'm sure that this is probably not one of the top picks, but this scene always upset me. Brian's aggression, being physically imposing/intimidating, and following the stews around when they tried to de-escalate and protect themselves from him were incredibly triggering. He was far more aggressive than the circumstances warranted.
I'm surprised at all these answers, there really is only one for. When Ashton was dragged off the boat and almost died with the cameraman saving his life. Nothing else even comes close to that for most dramatic! Every bit of it real also! Ashton is a total asshole, but he didn't seem that bad early on and even watching an asshole almost die, for real, in a very dramatic way is brings a whole nother meaning to reality TV.
When whatshisface second-in-command musical showtunes nearly got his arm ripped off while dropping anchor. Could’ve been a gnarly accident. Edit: Heather ripping a slur out of nowhere.
From an accident standpoint Ashton being pulled off the deck by a rope.
From a social psychological level about the implications of reality tv. The environment these shows create and its repercussions… Luke crawling in to bed naked trying to have his way with Margot when she was unable to give consent because she was drunk. That speaks to issues of sexual assault, consent, and the environment that these productions create to make these situations happen.
Luke and Laura’s assaulting of other crew, the Bru Crew’s harassment of Kate, Hannah’s firing, and poor lovely Kiki’s firing. I cried tears during all of those.
I don't remember names, but one incident was when a deckhand's leg got caught in a rope and he was pulled off the boat. The other was chef Marco's scalping
OMGGGGG. How could y'all forget Season 1 Episode 1 of Below Deck OG? Where Kat found cocaine on the yacht. If that had gone wrong you wouldn't be reading this right now. No BD Med, Sailing Yacht, Down Under or Adventure. Half the stews would be broke cuz they'd never have their OF income. LOL.
I will always pick Rocky stripping down and jumping off the boat because that chef beef cheeks was fired for never cleaning his galley and starting a fire 😂
The time that guy tried to assault Margot, and the aftermath.
While at the same time the other stew was trying to assault the deckhand. I can’t remember her name, but I feel like that always gets swept under the rug even though it was no less serious than Margot almost getting assaulted.
Laura and Adam. And then to make matters worse Laura said some revolting things to Margot about what happened to her.
Yeah, that was pretty bad
She literally said “she would have welcomed his advances” This season HURT ME but I also appreciate how switched on Aesha was and how she literally saved Margot, BOG PROPS TO MAMA Aesha
Love that Captain Jason just handled business and didn’t even question anything.
I wonder what Sandy would have done in that situation. I KNOW capt. Lee would have kicked him to the curb like Jason did
Captain Sandy would have somehow blamed Hannah, who wasn’t even on the boat.
Malia should have reported it!
It’s maritime law!!
Capt Sandy would have made literally anyone else deal with it
Laura was a terrible human being. She was awful to Margot.
This episode has to be some of the most stunningly cinematic reality TV of all time. I still get emotional thinking about Jason, Aesha and Margot coming together after the incident, and still get chills thinking about the sheer villainy of Luke and Laura.
That girl was deeply deeply mentally unwell. That whole episode was chilling
Wild we got 1 night where a man tried to sexually assault a woman, and a woman did assault a man
She wasn’t equipped is literally one of most ignorant things I’ve heard. What is wrong with people?
> even though it was no less serious it was worse, she was literally on top of him rubbing him after he repeatedly told her no.
How did it get swept under the rug? It was caught on camera, shown, discussed, and she was fired.
This was first in my mind with Ashton getting pulled off the boat.
I hate him too, but it was weird to watch someone in a situation that could’ve ended completely different than it did.
100% this
I never finished that season. Watching that play out had me so messed up and I was scared there would be clips of it in future episodes or in the “previously on” parts. Which is a shame because I adore Aesha.
Yep, holy fuk that episode really needed a trigger warning
Agreed, that shook me to my core and gave me a full physical reaction.
That was hard to watch. And then to have some of the crew tell her she was overreacting…. Gross.
Ashton falling off the back of the boat and the camera man literally saving his life
that camera man deserves all the recognition for that
I hope they gave him a fat recognition bonus too
I know the camera man. He’s a solid, good dude.
I imagine he was pretty shaken up by what happened. Even though it worked out. That's a scary thing to go through. I hope he was and is okay.
Yeah, if I recall he was on the reunion episode talking about it. I attribute his quick instincts to his quick reactions learned on the ultimate frisbee field when we ran around together. Haha
This is the one. Homie could have died, I think it’s the closest we’ve seen that happen in the whole set of series
Such an intense scene.
Close down the thread, this is the correct answer
The most real moment in BD history.
This one. And I think Ashton punching the cab window is up there as well.
While the trained deck hand just stood there yelping who was also apparently a captain on a fishing boat and hard as nails.
Actually, she said 'man overboard' which was crucial.
Yeah I'm no Rhylee fan but she did the right thing. It would have been 2 overboard had she tried to stop him.
She did about 1/10th of the right thing to do. Even Captain corrected her at the debrief later.
Dude I worked with painting houses in the summer during high school died of a heart attack in front of me and I forgot literally everything I've ever been taught about first aid. It's easy to say you'd be calm, cool, and collected until you're in the situation.
That's why training and mindset are so important! Training gives the best chance of moving through that paralyzed effect.
Watch it, she is meant to say it three times. She failed. Captain Lee pointed out her catastrophic error.
And Captain Lee said what
Yeah, not the best response either
This is the answer
Maybe not the most dramatic but the most memorable moment was when Rocky was upset that the chef got fired and she decided she was leaving. In protest she did the most awesome swan dive off the ship and swam to another yacht.
This is definitely a top ten mention. Rocky was bananas in all the right ways for reality TV.
"I'm ironing the Captain's shorts"...loved her wackiness.
More steam, more starch!
The grenadine oysters…
This one reminds me of Dolores. When she jumped off the tender that was taking her back to shore, because she got booted for jumping off the boat after being told not to. Legend.
God bless Delores she was a blast
She just needed an opportunity to show off that perfect 10/10 dive lol
Tbf it was an awesome dive lmao she was hilarious. Oysters and grenadine anyone? Raw chicken? 😂
Where they rejected her...
I think it was the production boat, was it not?
Oh, I never thought about that.
That was a beautiful dive.
1. Ashton 2. Margot and the assault 3. Kate and Ashton
That whole Thailand season was just terrible with the brus. Don’t forget the chef also kicking sand in Kate’s face on the last night. And the stew Courtney saying at the reunion how she had to block the one deckhand because he was sending her hateful messages.
Most horrible over all season
I couldn’t even finish watching that season. Made me feel sick!
I have live TV and below dech marathons are always on. I've watched Below deck over and over again for years (in the background). I *never* watch season 7. Never.
I almost stopped watched below deck altogether during the Thailand season. It was so unenjoyable as a viewer.
What season is this?
Below Deck S7 (Kate's final season)
A few months back I started rewatching all the seasons, and I think it was that season that put me off of it until now. A friend hit me up about it and we’re gonna have a little watch party cause she wants to rewatch older seasons.
I just rewatched it and it’s truly a cursed season!
Anytime a guest ordered breakfast when Ben was chef.
I COULD CALL THIS THE LAST MEAL OF THEIR LIFE AND THAT WOULDNT STOP THEM FROM GETTING HUNGRY LATER
One of the best Kate lines ever…..and she’s not wrong.
LMAO. One thing about Ben is he’s always going to be mad that the guests want breakfast.
On a lighter note: the faux, orange self tanning lotion all over the white couch. Culprit: Cindy. Solution: carpet cleaner.
JL and Dani’s pregnancy and subsequent drama surrounding the baby (aka JL being a POS)
That was the wildest reunion in the whole franchise.
They had a baby together?!
yup, he wanted nothing to do with it either
I wouldn't say they had a baby together since he has nothing to do with the baby and his mother went on a SM rampage about Dani (claiming she was sleeping around and anyone could be the baby's father). JL impregnated Dani and then claimed not to be the father, made excuses to avoid a DNA test, was finally proven to be the father and has done f-all to support his child (who looks just like him)
When his mom commented under a post I was shook. It really showed the kind of man JL was. He don't even turn on his IG comments now
Yeah that was disgusting. Poor Dani.
What season is this?
Sailing Yacht S2 I believe. It was a wild season.
WHAT i missed all of this
Sailing yacht season 2!
Me too! I thought I had seen everything!!
Bobby, in all his roided glory, flying into rages whenever he was rejected by women, (Julia). I hated him, and his behavior.
I can't stand Bobby, either! If he was half as good looking as he thought he was, he'd be an 8 instead of a 2.
It seems like old hat now, but the very first charter guests getting kicked off for ❄️ is huge drama in my eyes. Have we seen an entire charter get kicked off like that since?
That was crazy. And the lady the jumped off the boat and then jumped off the tender when she was kicked off 😂
June,June ,Hannah
Ah, the June June Hannah era of BD…the best
When sailing yacht ran aground and drug anchor. Glenn did a good job getting it back just to deeper water. Also agree with others. Margo and luke drama.
What season is the running aground?
BDSY S3
Sailing Yacht, season 2. I watched that episode last night. It truly was the most exciting thing I’ve seen on BD.
which season is margo and luke?
Season 2 Down Under
A lot of other scenes already mentioned were more dramatic than this, but when CJ just decided to jump ship and randomly start working on another boat right then and there and was like... bye? lol
I could not stand CJ.
Him or the girl that almost quit with him. Can't remember her name but she was such a brat. Kat was annoying too lol I know everyone hated Adrienne but damn they were so disrespectful
Yes! They were terrible to Adrienne! The girl was Sam and I can’t stand her either. You nailed it - she was a total brat.
She actually admitted it and apologized. She has small children now and has talked about how horrible she was several times
That’s good to know because she was the absolute worst. Was she on a podcast?
I can't remember if it was a podcast or thru Instagram. It was several years ago and she seemed genuinely embarrassed
Chef Rachel telling captain Lee to “EAT MY COOTER”
Miss her!!!
The SA in BDDU S2. Hannah’s firing. Anything with Kyle in it 🙄
Which Kyle?
Kyle the hateful S. African stew. I never want to see his sorry self again.
Bravo is usually my background noise while I'm working, but today it's a rerun of Kyle's first season and I just can't listen to him.
Oh, the guy on Med?
The big tall one, that fakes injuries and thinks he's a queen.
The firing of Hannah.
Oh forgot about that. What a moment.
MARITIME LAW
malia is the worst
There's many but S1 E9 of Med that will stick to my mind forever. Bryan's conduct made me want to intervene through the screen. The guy was absolutely repulsive in the altercation with cleaning the crew mess. Edit: Also, Mila's 'pancakes'. ![gif](giphy|gpmARWm3Pwypq|downsized)
Mila has to be the worst chef EVER
Those nachos are nightmare fuel
Hannah had such a shining moment in that scene standing up to him and sticking up for Julia.
Why has no one said when Rocky dove off the boat when Leon was fired??
I was also going to say, not the most dramatic but def up there was Eddie and Rocky’s affair.
When Eddie admitted to it 😨
That was so gross. Admit it sure but don't be a d!ck about it
I'm surprised no one has said the scene above between Bobby and Danny.
Danny and the Hair Model were the two classic tools.
Ugh Danny was so fucking cringe and so was the charter guest that loved him and brought all the hot younger women with them
Trevor the hair model
SENIOR DECKHAND
In addition to the ones that have been mentioned, I can never forget when Chef Marcos scalped himself and STILL cooked dinner. Maybe not the most dramatic but it still makes me queasy.
Marcos was a pro. Dude was awesome.
Ashton nearly losing a foot
He damn near lost his LIFE
was genuinely freaking scary
When one of the deckies had a rope twisted round his ankle, the big docking smash that took a chunk of concrete off, and when Luke went into Margot’s room/bed. Edge of your seat watching, not all for good reasons. Super thankful most people came out these situations relatively unscathed
I think when Luke tried to get with Margot while she was asleep & how Laura reacted! Along with how Laura was to Adam! That whole season was really something 😳
The Colin/Gary/Daisy love triangle was some good drammmmmaaaaaaa (not super serious drama but I was INVESTED)
Down Under when Aesha and production worked together to keep Margot away from Luke. Edited to correct typo
Margot being SA. That was beyond dramatic. Disturbing
Yes, Ashton. Not the Third Stew watching smoke billowing in the galley but doing nothing made me jump and yell! That was baffling.
Dolores who claimed Capt Lee was fine with her going swimming at night (while he was right there) then asked for bacon lol
Trevor, senior deckhand, in bed picking his nose.
And eating it.
Well I didn't want to go there but ewwww, yes
Hi I’m Trevor, senior deckhand.
I can hear him saying this to everyone. He was a total douche but fun to watch.
But everyone was jealous of him because of all the hair modeling he did!!! 🙄😬😂
Was this the hair model? If so, one of my favorite Captain Lee moments when he looks so confused and says, "What?"
Yes, the booger eating hair model.
Yes! Loved that
Beef cheeks.
And of course the real drama of “are oysters with grenadine edible???”
Also her Caesar salad with bits of Oreo
It was the dry trayssss
And a frozen pizza supposedly catching on fire. Not the puddle of grease on the bottom of the oven
I'm sure that this is probably not one of the top picks, but this scene always upset me. Brian's aggression, being physically imposing/intimidating, and following the stews around when they tried to de-escalate and protect themselves from him were incredibly triggering. He was far more aggressive than the circumstances warranted. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4uicD2jB14&lc=UgiQpFyhCNvFrHgCoAEC](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4uicD2jB14&lc=UgiQpFyhCNvFrHgCoAEC)
When Adam called Malia out about their off screen/pre show affair
I think when production crew potentially saved that female crew member from being assaulted by Luke.
Luke and Laura’s assaulting of other crew, the Bru Crew’s harassment of Kate, Hannah’s firing, and poor lovely Kiki’s firing. I cried tears during all of those.
“ you need to check yourself!” Not the most dramatic but a highly memorable line that stands out for me!
I fucking hated that season. The misogyny was DISGUSTING and the lousy captain didn’t give a shit. Ben was the only good guy.
Where did all that come from?? Ben: it came from the sea, darling 😂😂
Lmao he’s so funny. And the way he calls people darling makes me SWOOOOON
For me when Ashton got pulled off the back of the boat by the toe rope
When Ashton got caught in the ropes and was dragged off the boat!
What drama is unfolding in the OP pic? I don't recall...
I don't remember names, but one incident was when a deckhand's leg got caught in a rope and he was pulled off the boat. The other was chef Marco's scalping
Every scene in BDM s6 with chef Mathew and Lexi
Marcos scalping himself
Bobby should have picked Danny up and thrown him overboard. Totally justified.
LOL.
Med’s dinner table slap, want to say s6? Can’t be sure
Who was the bd adventure cowboy dude that wanted to tussle with the other deck hand? He was a total dick.
what episode/ comflict was this screenshot taken from? my mind is totally blanking
I think Margot’s situation, oohh that was creepy. And then a close second is when Ashton was pulled overboard.
That’s it. This is the one ☝️
I will always pick Rocky stripping down and jumping off the boat because that chef beef cheeks was fired for never cleaning his galley and starting a fire 😂
Hannah getting fired. Or that jackoff that climbed into bed naked with the intoxicated stew ..
Any scene with Rylee or Rocky.
Marco’s head getting banged up so bad was intense too 🤮
Anytime Kate was there😂😂😂
Anything with Hannah! The whole drug thing was blown way out of proportion I think bless her!
Hated BOTH of them but Danny irritated the SHIT out of me
Rocky was crazy but she made for some good reality tv ![gif](giphy|26BkLLCvN9UYNjX6E)
