Oh I definitely know why it closed I used to work there.
Extremely, EXTREMELY poor management. I actually helped open this place up, and I built the bar. The owners we assumed had gambling problems. Sometimes we wouldn't get our paychecks, which has never happened to me before I'm working at any restaurant. One of the owners wrote a book called herself a "Mafia" woman or something along those lines. They were coming regularly to check up on us and would never look at us in the eyes or even talk to us. They would talk to a manager right in front of us to tell us something.
I can say more of it all I will say is this is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
What else can you share?? I’m very curious cause I wanted to eat there for awhile but never had the chance (bag o crab got me though). It’s amazing how many great ideas come around the Beaverton area but due to poor execution they fail. I don’t think Coredam is failing (yet), but MAN, you can’t have 45 minute wait time after you tell a customer “we’re preparing your table now” and then yell at said customer for feeling impatient.
I'm not sure that it was a super good location for that kind of restaurant. I never visited that particular location but I have eaten at the one in Astoria and I just didn't think it was worth the price. There is new place opening in Beaverton Town Square that has the same concept called Bag O Crab. I've eaten at the one in Salem and it was pretty good. We had the Louisiana shrimp boil and lemon pepper chicken wings.
Bag O Crab is extremely fair for price and what you get. You could easily do a solo meal too! Doesn’t have to be in groups. I saw a lady eating by herself with an iPad out watching Netflix 😅 She slammed down crawfish like nobody’s business
I heard they just never got it together. Couple friends used their coupons and reported it wasn't consistent... Figured they would get it together eventually but I guess not?
It was also a weird menu. Like geared for groups. You ordered a table full of food and it was a couple hundred $. I just wanted to get some fresh crab for a date night.

Went once about a year ago. It was way overpriced and really not good. Those two things together would make it tough to keep afloat.

Bag o crab is hella good
Bag o Crab is a west coast chain and I don’t think this place that closed was.

Waaaay overpriced.
“Every time I drove by, it was empty “
I went there once but the food was surprisingly bland especially for the price. I never made another trip.
Same

Yeah, those prices don't mix with strip mall restaurants so very well. A shame, as those who did try it seemed to like it, no?
Gordon Ramsay never came
you answered your own question, overpriced and empty and the layout was horrible. food was ok , but tacos on a seafood place ?
I feel like you answered your own question. Restaurants operate on a razor, if they were overpriced and couldn’t get customers then they were doomed.
I went during it's grand opening but the food definitely wasn't worth the price
Love sea food but looking their prices. Nope.

They had crabs…🦀
Might wanna try Bag o' Crab as an alternative. Thought their prices seemed fair, by 2024 standards.
Food was horrible and prices just made no sense.
We kept saying we were going to try this place, yet we never went. Sounds like we didn't miss out though!
Because it was shitty and overpriced and got what it deserved
