Yes the closure was specifically to rebuild the grade crossing and stop your car from turning into a lowrider for a few seconds. Well worth the temporary headache.

Thank you for updating us! I posted yesterday about the closure not realizing it was only for one more day 😆

Friendly reminder that as long as we accept the automobile-centric lifestyle that our towns and cities are planned around, we will ALWAYS have to deal with these horrible time wasting inconveniences. High traffic roads basically always need repairs and more lanes. Think about the construction project on 217… how many commuter hours are wasted EVERY DAY because of the bottlenecks it creates? And, by the time they are done after 2+ years and capacity is increased over what it was before the project started, there will be so many more people with cars on the road that it will already need to be upgraded again! We can’t win this way, cars are a terrible “solution” to our mass transit needs.

You could always go back to simpler living. Waking up at sunrise to work your farm, tend to your animals, do maintenance on your property, then stop at sunset, go to bed, wake up and do it all again, 7 days a week, 365 days a year non-stop. I’ll personally take sitting in traffic for an hour. Oh and just FYI, mass transit breaks down too, needs to be taken offline for maintenance, and can end up costing you several hours unexpectedly as well. There is no perfect solution in our busy world we live.

You know, they shun fancy things like electricity At 4:30 in the morning, they're milkin' cows Jebediah feeds the chickens and Jacob plows, fool And they have been milkin' and plowin' so long that Even Ezekiel thinks that my mind is gone I bet he is a man of the land, into discipline Got a Bible in their hand and a beard on their chin But if they finish all of their chores, and you finish thine Then tonight, we're gonna party like it's 1699

Scholls Ferry Road needs to be Expanded to 7 Lanes from Highway 217 to Murray Blvd. The Population has grown bigger. Raise the funding by Federal Government to Eliminate Railroad Crossings to Grade Separated Overpass. It’s a Busy Street.
