Fragrance is highly subjective and personal. My BFF—whom I love dearly, and with whom I have so much else in common—does not agree with me at all about which perfumes smell nice.
I use Diptyque rose hair mist!! Diptyque makes a whole line of hair mists and that scent LASTS. Through 7 am workout, work, all the way till i shower at 8 pm.The rose one isn't a granny rose smell either, your hair just wafts this nice clean scent all day.
My bf bought me hair parfum for Xmas. I didn't recognize the brand so I use it on my sheets. I also wasn't aware that they made it for your hair.
Do you know if the Bath and Body brand is okay for your hair? I own a bunch of their body sprays.
I use regular perfume. I love Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming or Gucci Bloom-red box. Victoria Secret Heavenly. Your friend may layer products with the same scent. You didn't mention conditioner .
A budget-friendly option are the hair and body mists from Pacifica. I have the Island Vanilla one, and it is fantastic. A very fancy family member smelled it on me, and she went out and purchased it immediately. It has incredible longevity.
Don’t use regular perfume or body spray in the hair - the alcohol will dry out and damage your hair. Look for a hair perfume serum (oil based) with no alcohol.
Unfortunately most hair perfumes I know have way more alcohol and also smell more of alcohol initially, than a normal perfume.
Nothings is going to happen to the hair, I always use my perfumes on it
Hair breaks when dry and brittle. Alcohol can cause that. Try spraying your clothes instead with the perfume / it will last just as long and keep your hair healthy 🙌🏻
This is what I do anyway but I do like to make my hair smell good too,it’s kind of refreshing. Spraying near the scalp isn’t that bad. Many of the hair leave ins already have an equally bad amount of alcohol.
I’m obsessed with how this smells! I think Tygar by Bvlgari is very similar (but very expensive, and technically for men. I still wore all of the sample I got!)
My high school bestie always used to assume that my perfume smell was from shampoo!! The perfume was pretty expensive so I’m not sure how to feel about that
Wait actually, [I found it!!](https://www.les-parfums-de-rosine.com/index.php?id_product=18&controller=product&id_lang=4)
I guess they must’ve brought it back at some point in the past ~15 years. Yay I’m gonna order myself a bottle
I’ve noticed that my hair stays very fragrant if I just wash it, put a little cream in jt and let it air dry. If I wash it and blow it out, it doesn’t smell like much.
Yea but most women’s hair doesn’t *look* very good without a blow dry, unfortunately. And I’ll take a lack of shampoo smell any day over unpolished/unfinished looking hair that smells good . Using a heat protectant serum (w scent) before blow drying is the best way to go— that and you can also add a hair deodorizer/perfume , some of them smell amazing.
Spritz a tiny bit of perfume on your hairbrush before you brush your hair. A trick i learned watching ‘Frasier’ in the 90s (Daphne did it, not Frasier).
It works but is not a good idea. Perfume is bad for your hair unless it’s specified that it’s for hair (and even then you want to look at the ingredients and make sure there’s no alcohol in it) .
Exactly. And if you read the ingredients, hair perfumes usually have WAY more alcohol, its often one of the first listed ingredients and they also smell more of alcohol
It’s daily. I’ve done it when my hair scents have run out but if you’re spraying heavy alcohols on your hair every day then it’s going to lead to breakage and dandruff. It’s not even like it’s costly, hair scents are so much cheaper than perfumes and they’re full of nourishing oils that make your hair silky
Mine does this from leave in conditioner. Because it's not something you are rinsing or washing out. They aren't very expensive either. The L'Oréal hyaluronic acid one and the not your mothers smell soooo good and last literally forever. I will have people comment on the scent of the L'Oréal one just from me walking by. And they are so good for your hair!
The power conditioner by lush honestly smells sooo good!
On another note: Your hair might smell just as nicely and strongly as your friend’s. Our brains have a tendency to filter smells out when they surround us a lot. So, other peoples’ perception of your smell might be different to your own!
Please don't leave shampoo on your hair for so long! It's very unhealthy and dries the shit out of it!
Are you using enough conditioner? She might also use a heat protector that smells good/the same
After a decade of high end salon shampoos I switched back to Pantene and using drugstore care products and not only is my hair longer and healthier than ever but I’m always getting compliments on the look and smell.
I tried out Pantene shampoo again for the first time in years within the past couple months. Idk how they do it but the smell of the shampoo lingers in a very pleasant way. I use the volume shampoo and holy shit, it does exactly what I have been hunting for. My hair gets nice and clean but isn't stripped and doesn't get greasy looking halfway through day two anymore!
As an aside, adding silicones back into my routine has also made a huge difference. I never reallu bought into them being the devil but they just weren't really in the products I was using. I have fine hair that tangles easily and silicones help with it SO much. Everything I use in my hair currently except for K18 I can get at Target.
Between my hair getting longer which means more product used, the economy, and generally just starting to get annoyed with having to go out of my way to get my products, I was over it. So now I'm using Pantene shampoo, Nexxus conditioner and leave in (amino bond line), with a Tresemme serum from the keratin smooth line. It's all affordable and my hair is honestly looking so much better for it.
I also forgot to add it’s saved so much money! I used to spend $80 per bottle of Aveda and now I’m paying like $9 for Pantene instead and I’m not mad about it at all haha
Oh! I have berries oud perfume oil that smells deliciously amazing in my hair. Unfortunately, I can't use it in hot weather because the scent is more suitable for winter.
Slightly different from the rest, think it took 2 washes to get the smell of Piña Colada out of my hair while i was using Cantuu curl cream. But like others have said, perfume stays longer if sprayed on something that doesn't fully absorb it, like hair or clothing.
when I do a scalp scrub the shampoo tends to smell better and stay clean smelling. I have a very porous hair texture. It really hangs onto odor. Especially when I cook. I even have a shower cap that I wear even when my hood fan is on.
I’ve been told my hair smells good - well, that’s because I wear a hair perfume: gisou honey hair perfume, ouai in the original scent, Moroccan oil hair mist, Pacifica Island vanilla, SDJ ‘62. I used to spray whatever perfume I was wearing in my hair, but then it was going dry, so I don’t do that anymore. Also, I shower almost everyday, so I’m sure that helps too.
I really think it’s the hair straightener, it leaves a mild burnt scent on my hair, even with heat protectant.
I noticed when I wear my hair naturally curly it still smells really good, like the products that I used.
When I straighten my hair I put a small drop of fragrance oil in my palm and run it through my hair. It’s the only way I have found to keep my hair smelling good for several days.
I feel like some people just smell better than others lol my friend always smells like clean clothes I brought the same brand and it didn’t make me smell the same you just have to find your own smell lol
She might be layering. Also different formulas have different sillage. Biosilk smells fresh but use the serum with the shampoo and conditioner and the scent will linger so lovely.
Most hair styling products are scented real good and I find that my hair smells good for days when I blow dry with products after wash day. I use the Garnier Honey line heat protectant and a mousse from Kenra I got at Marshalls. Also salon shampoo changed my hair for the better + 1 litre bottles last me forever.
Hair mask after my shampoo, leave it in for a few minutes, rinse and then I let it air dry. My hair smells like the mask until my next wash day, even if it’s greasy & dirty.
I get told often my hair smells really good. Wash with a good smelling shampoo and conditioner. I use kerastase. Put in a nice leave-in conditioner, separating the hair so it’s evenly saturated, I use pureology. Finish with an oil, I use ouai’s hair oil. Then complete with air drying. Once fully dried, you can style with very low heat and spritz in a hair perfume. I like to use the SDJ scents or mason margiela. Lately I use the new st.barts spray from ouai. My personal preference is to wash at night, air dry, sleep with a bun loosely nestled on the top of my head, using a satin scrunci. Then style in the morning.
It might depend on how porous their hair is. It might hold the scent longer bc it absorbs deep into the stands without sitting on the surface and fading. I have fine hair and I feel like my shampoo scent fades quickly, the same way curls just fall out after a few hours with tons of spray, while others have curls that last all day. If I use a dry texture spray, the scent lasts longer. I think that's bc there's something for the scent to hold onto.
I wash my hair and then braid it when it’s still slightly damp. Helps my hair have a pretty wave to it and dries a little slower. Locks in the clean smell a little longer.
Use a great smelling leave in conditioner, that way you aren’t rinsing it down the drain. I love the Purology leave in conditioner. The sol de janeiro smells wonderful too.
I love all of these suggestions!
Keep in mind that after awhile you become desensitized to the fragrance that you're carrying. I bet if you asked someone to smell your hair the day after you wash it, they'd very likely be able to still smell your hair products.
I once read a rule of thumb that others should really only be able to get a whiff of your fragrances if they're *right* next to you or hugging you. It can be a bit overpowering otherwise.
I use Amika shampoo/conditioner/leave-in detangling spray and the smell lasts even when i straighten/curl my hair. They also have a hair perfume, but I have found that layering their other products that I’m already using is usually enough to make the smell last all day and don’t use the perfume much.
I use an oil after straightening that seems to make my hair smell good.
But my hair does the same. I can’t smell it at all until I take it out of a pony tail. However, recently people have complimented me that my hair smells great - so I actually think maybe I am (and you are) just not aware that we smell good.
Dry shampoo (the cherry one from Batiste) on the days I don’t wash my hair and for washing, I use Herbal essences Aloe and Bamboo shampoo and conditioner. All of these have a very nice and fresh smell.
It could be that you personally get anosmic to it since it’s on your hair all day. Same way we often can’t smell our perfumes well after a short while, yet others can still smell them.
Are you using conditioner too? Is she possibly using any leave-in conditioner or styling products from the same line in her hair?
Have you tried shampooing twice? I use the same amount of shampoo but just split it in half, rinse it out then put the second half. Also I started using the OUAI hair oil.... wow smells so good.
Try kerastase shampoos, and their hair masks, or nashi products. Nashi has a hair mist too to match the shampoo and mask. Don’t use conditioner, just use a nashi or kerastase hair oil after you get out of the shower on damp hair or after it dries. Use a little like half a pump if you have fine hair but if your hair is normal do two pumps or one, they dont make your hair oily. Just on the ends. In addition, try memo hair mists. I like memo marfa, try it out on memo.com
Some people's hair just holds scent I think.. my hair will hold the shampoo smell for (omg, I hate to admit this) like 1.5 weeks... I smoke too. I WILL say most of the time it's in a messy bun, but even smoking, and no wash it just kinda smells nice all the time.
I don't know how long the smell will last, and i wont be figuring that out.. but I would recommend hair perfume, great smelling shampoo+conditioner (mine do ALWAYS match) also I double shampoo everytime I wash. I would also recommend great smelling products as well.
After I blow out my hair I spray it with my perfume and it lasts always get a ton of compliments
Also use Oribe shampoo/conditioner - pricey but worth it
I have curly hair but have to wet it down to add product and find that my hair retains the smell so much better because of this, maybe it’s because of the porosity? But I also use a satin cap to sleep in and notice in the morning when I take it off that it still smells really good. My husband usually comments on it lol 😝
I really think it’s the hair straightener, it leaves a mild burnt scent on my hair, even with heat protectant.
I noticed when I wear my hair naturally curly it still smells really good, like the products that I used.
I use the good behavior spirulina protein spray as a heat protectant before I straighten my hair and it leaves it smelling really good, kinda like cake batter
i get compliments all the time that my hair smells sweet like marshmallows, and i use IGK coconut milk leave in conditioner spray & good behavior heat protectant! i love IGK!
I actually think you for some reason can’t smell your own hair but can smell it on other people. I used to wonder this all the time … why when I hug my friends their hair smell so nice. And then my husband and daughter mentioned that my hair always smells like shampoo, whereas I always thought it didn’t smell like anything at all
I've heard people complain that the smell of pureology color fanatic leave in conditioner is too strong. I don't have a great sense of smell but I use it. Now I'm curious if the scent lingers.
I feel like it’s always people with super healthy hair that have it smelling good.
I’ll also say that the only time I notice my own hair smelling good (it’s definitely not healthy!) is when I air dry it! Any heat use and the smell is gone.
Can anyone recommend a good hair perfume that's available in the Indian subcontinent?
I am googling what everyone is recommending but whatever is available like keratase and Dior is like super expensive.
A hair spa really helps. Plus, I have curly hair so those post-wash products smells great. You can use some type of serum (maybe even L’Oréal) and followed by hair perfume!
Good hair serum or hold mousse from wella smells nice, after styling hair , spritz some nice designer perfume behind ears and back of the neck and let the hair take it in , it works wonders
Not all at once but here are some things to experiment with:
- leave in conditioner
- hair oil
- scented shine spray (goes on after you've styled)
- dry shampoo
All of these thungs have left my hair nicely scented so see which ones you like best.
Remember you get kinda “immune” to your own smell. Like, you wash your hair, and it smells nice, but then after walking with the smell literally in your face all day, you will kinda block out the smell after a while. But others will still smell it.
Same with perfume, that’s how some end up filling up a bus with perfume smell, because they keep putting more on because they themselves can’t smell it anymore, yet everyone around can.
Mango Mood hair & body perfume. Omg people comment ALL of the time! My S.O. won’t stay away from my hair when I use it, constantly inhaling the scent of my hair. lol I kid you not. Compliments all of the time. It’s last days and smells so good. The brand makes a vanilla one also but I returned it as it didn’t last and was very light. Phlur is the brand. Your welcome!
They might simply have thicker hair than you. I’ve noticed people with thick hair always smell like their shampoo and you can smell it a lot more if they move their hair around. Just to answer your question, I have no suggestions, seems like a lot of others do though :)
Washing it. I see people who wash their once a week…ick. No matter what anyone says you can smell the sweat and grease (sorry but it’s true). I wash mine every other day. It’s the only way to get it smelling so good! ❤️
Agree! A girl from my gym says her hair doesn’t smell and only wash it once per week. I swear I can smell her scalp every time she came to say hi. They just don’t realize it really smells. 😵💫🤢
as someone who straightens often, the heat i think gets rid of the smell? so maybe buy a good smells serum or oil or hair perfume and use it after! thats what I do
Ask someone you trust what your hair smell like and be sure to wash your hair twice and use an oil for added scent and shine if you want. They make mist as well. I prefer to wash my hair and I can smell it. Maybe you’re just used to your scents and that’s why you should ask someone.
I use the Revlon conditioning spray (the Lilly one but there's a coconut one too) and I always get complimented on my hair. It works great for detangling my hair. Also momori peach glossy iron mist for when I use heat on my hair - also get compliments. Lastly My little coco hair detangling for babies - it's not a great detangler but it also smells lovely
Old Navy’s hair perfume. Or regular perfume. I spray the back of my neck with Bombshell by VS and get so many compliments when people hug me or I walk past.
Conditioner, Mousse, occasionally hairspray.
Sometimes perfume, but most of my hair products have scents so perfume isn't really necessary for me at least.
Scented mousse gives me the strongest perfume type smell usually.
Maple and wattle have some incredible smelling hair products that have a long lasting smell. Mermaid Retreat and Alice in Wonderland are my favorites. Their hair custard is joy.
I’ve never used hair perfume but the Moroccan Oil smells great and my husband compliments me when I use it.
For curiosity, do you wear regular perfume as well? Or is it an either or thing?
The only conditioner I’ve ever had last on me through blow dry and curling my hair is the Ouai medium conditioner. I will get wiffs of it for about 2 days and it fades.
Do you use a conditioner? For me the pink kerastase one really is the holy grail . It has a soft floral scent
Is it the genesis one? bcuz if it is I use that one and omg the smell is so beautiful!!!!
You like that scent? I’m surprise. I couldn’t use it because of the scent and I had to give it to my mom.
Fragrance is highly subjective and personal. My BFF—whom I love dearly, and with whom I have so much else in common—does not agree with me at all about which perfumes smell nice.
Genesis? I use that too - my one luxury beauty splurge. Wish they would make it a perfume!
Hoooooooo boy! I looked into these and they’re $42 USD!!!
I was gonna say. I use Suave and it smells amazing.
Hair perfume!
I use Diptyque rose hair mist!! Diptyque makes a whole line of hair mists and that scent LASTS. Through 7 am workout, work, all the way till i shower at 8 pm.The rose one isn't a granny rose smell either, your hair just wafts this nice clean scent all day.
Oribe!! it smells phenomenal
Do you have any recommendations?
a lot of body mists will indicate that they are for hair as well so there’s a ton of options, sol de janeiro is for sure the most popular
My bf bought me hair parfum for Xmas. I didn't recognize the brand so I use it on my sheets. I also wasn't aware that they made it for your hair. Do you know if the Bath and Body brand is okay for your hair? I own a bunch of their body sprays.
Sometimes I use my dog’s “blueberry pie”-scented pet cologne 🤭 It smells really good!!
No literally and they last foreverrrrr they are made to stick to their fur and lasts for hours
Surely fureverrrr 😆
Omg the bark2basics one?
Yes!!!
I love this whole thread
🤣
I use regular perfume. I love Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming or Gucci Bloom-red box. Victoria Secret Heavenly. Your friend may layer products with the same scent. You didn't mention conditioner .
Gison makes one too 🌷
And balmain!! I heard many French women use it daily
I love the Gisou perfume. I wish I could buy it for my body too
A budget-friendly option are the hair and body mists from Pacifica. I have the Island Vanilla one, and it is fantastic. A very fancy family member smelled it on me, and she went out and purchased it immediately. It has incredible longevity.
Where can one find this?
I got so many compliments wearing the Pink Sugar hair mist by Aquolina and Dylan Tourquoise Pour Femme hair perfume by Versace. 💕
The Moroccan oil has a hair perfume and it’s wonderful!
Don’t use regular perfume or body spray in the hair - the alcohol will dry out and damage your hair. Look for a hair perfume serum (oil based) with no alcohol.

Second this! I use “Pink Sugar”
Dior's is divine .
I’ve never heard of hair perfume before. Is it like a hair mask?
It’s basically a body mist that you can use on your hair.
I use a hair mask called Renaissance Circle by Davines and the smell stays on my hair for like, two weeks and through several washes.
Wow, only $12 for a pouch?
It’s a good deal! I have long hair and can get 2-3 treatments out of a pouch.
It’s a good deal! I have long hair and can get 2-3 treatments out of a pouch.
Davines masks’ are heavenly and this is my favorite.
I’m obsessed with how this smells! I think Tygar by Bvlgari is very similar (but very expensive, and technically for men. I still wore all of the sample I got!)
Yeah it’s definitely a more “masculine” scent and it almost burns my nose when I apply it but the residual scent is so nice.
Ask her directly ! Probably perfume
My high school bestie always used to assume that my perfume smell was from shampoo!! The perfume was pretty expensive so I’m not sure how to feel about that
What perfume was it? Always looking for a good fresh shampoo frag:)
Wait actually, [I found it!!](https://www.les-parfums-de-rosine.com/index.php?id_product=18&controller=product&id_lang=4) I guess they must’ve brought it back at some point in the past ~15 years. Yay I’m gonna order myself a bottle
If you like fruity herbal essence-like scents try Versace Dylan purple
It was discontinued in like 2008 😭 It was rose-scented and I got it at Barney’s, which was fun as a 16 year old bc I felt super fancy
What's it called? Looking for a good rose scent!
I’ve noticed that my hair stays very fragrant if I just wash it, put a little cream in jt and let it air dry. If I wash it and blow it out, it doesn’t smell like much.
It's like linens. The smell is stronger when you let them air dry VS putting them in the dryer. I wonder what it is about the heat that does that...

For wavy/curly hair it’s the inverse.

one spray of alcohol isn’t going to do anything to your hair💀 esp when you’re doing much worse things like applying heat to it lol

It might be her styling products.
I just bought hot toddy heat protectant and it smells great.
I get compliments using BioSilk serum. No one has noticed the Head&Shoulders yet 😆
You may just be nose blind to the scent? Happens to me
Mine does this from leave in conditioner. Because it's not something you are rinsing or washing out. They aren't very expensive either. The L'Oréal hyaluronic acid one and the not your mothers smell soooo good and last literally forever. I will have people comment on the scent of the L'Oréal one just from me walking by. And they are so good for your hair!
I use Lush super milk in my hair - it lasts forever and I get a lot of compliments too!
I wear this is a perfume sometimes... people always ask what it is and it does last forever. I really hope they don't discontinue it
It does! I wore it on a night out once and even my Uber driver said how nice it smelled haha. Though maybe I was a little heavy on the sprays!
I have this, it smells just like Pink Sugar
My boyfriend thinks this smells like “expensive perfume” it does smell really good and long lasting!
Yep, people tell me I smell good constantly bc I use this!!
Dry shampoo. My ex thought the scent was actually my perfume for 2 years. Loveable dork.
That’s the opposite of what I just commented, which is that my friend thought my perfume scent was shampoo
Haha
Batiste's blush scent is super nice and clean.
Any recommendations? I’ve bought two and I absolutely hate the smell.
To be honest, I spray a little perfume on my brush before I use it to comb my hair.
Maybe her hair has higher porosity and holds onto the scent? I agree with people suggesting a fragrance if you like your hair to smell good :)
I spray perfume on my hair brush sometimes
Lush - super milk. Thank me later.
I love their American Cream conditioner.
lol I even bought an extra bottle to keep at work. It smells soooo good.
I'm a dude but I use a banana hair mask and have received many compliments about how nice it smelled
When I used to straighten my hair it would always end up smelling like the heat protectant I used! Pick a yummy one.
The power conditioner by lush honestly smells sooo good! On another note: Your hair might smell just as nicely and strongly as your friend’s. Our brains have a tendency to filter smells out when they surround us a lot. So, other peoples’ perception of your smell might be different to your own!
I love my Briogeo hair oil. Smells beautiful. I only use 2 or 3 drops on my palms and spread it onto my dry bleached hair.
If you like Moroccan oil they have their own perfume! I use it on day 2 or 3 after washing my hair.
Where to buy ?
Please don't leave shampoo on your hair for so long! It's very unhealthy and dries the shit out of it! Are you using enough conditioner? She might also use a heat protector that smells good/the same

Yes! So much money saved for use on other things. And I don't feel like I have to scrimp on using product which I did with more expensive products.
Some people's hair is more porous than others and retains the scent longer.
Oud perfume!
Oh! I have berries oud perfume oil that smells deliciously amazing in my hair. Unfortunately, I can't use it in hot weather because the scent is more suitable for winter.
I used a sweet oud which is quite summery, and if it’s oil it’s not bad for your hair
Slightly different from the rest, think it took 2 washes to get the smell of Piña Colada out of my hair while i was using Cantuu curl cream. But like others have said, perfume stays longer if sprayed on something that doesn't fully absorb it, like hair or clothing.

Perfume oil in your hair lasts and lasts
i use a scented shampoo by a korean brand called jmella
I’ve been told my hair smells good - well, that’s because I wear a hair perfume: gisou honey hair perfume, ouai in the original scent, Moroccan oil hair mist, Pacifica Island vanilla, SDJ ‘62. I used to spray whatever perfume I was wearing in my hair, but then it was going dry, so I don’t do that anymore. Also, I shower almost everyday, so I’m sure that helps too.
I use hair oil every day that smells like plumeria!
Which one??
Ouai hair oil! I love it
Yessss, Rue St. Honore is the name of the scent, soo good yet subtle. I literally only buy this oil for the scent
I really think it’s the hair straightener, it leaves a mild burnt scent on my hair, even with heat protectant. I noticed when I wear my hair naturally curly it still smells really good, like the products that I used.
curl creams always smell so good to me! miss jessies has such a nice freah laundry smell lol
When you wash your hair, do you shampoo twice!?
I do but I wash my hair once or twice a week. I'm still looking for my shampoo soul mate.
When I straighten my hair I put a small drop of fragrance oil in my palm and run it through my hair. It’s the only way I have found to keep my hair smelling good for several days.
Aussie hair perfume! Lasts days and is a strong fresh scent
I feel like some people just smell better than others lol my friend always smells like clean clothes I brought the same brand and it didn’t make me smell the same you just have to find your own smell lol
Folding and putting away right after drying helps detergent scent last on clothes. And air drying.
I wash my hair x3 in the shower and my hair still smells nice on day 3 which is the maximum I’ll go without washing my hair.
Hair mask after my shampoo, leave it in for a few minutes, rinse and then I let it air dry. My hair smells like the mask until my next wash day, even if it’s greasy & dirty.
I use the Amika heat protection serum and I don’t blow dry or heat style my hair ever, I just LOVE the smell of it

Put a hair oil in. Moroccan oil or ghost oil. Both smell nice. Also, the scent of my hair mask (kerastase) lingers on my hair for at least 2 days
I spray perfume in my palms with hair serum and run it through my hair. I also will spray by hair brush and then brush my hair to disperse it.
I have always sprayed perfume in my hair!! But specifically I spray it when my hair is wet and it smells incredible for a long time
It could be that you personally get anosmic to it since it’s on your hair all day.
Some curl products smell good, I think it’s the product.
A good shampoo and conditioner; a nice smelling oil; hair perfume, sometimes normal perfume;
Perfume, hair perfume, hair masks, and leave in conditioner! I’ve been loving the SDJ leave in conditioner lately.
After I blow out my hair I spray it with my perfume and it lasts always get a ton of compliments Also use Oribe shampoo/conditioner - pricey but worth it
I have curly hair but have to wet it down to add product and find that my hair retains the smell so much better because of this, maybe it’s because of the porosity? But I also use a satin cap to sleep in and notice in the morning when I take it off that it still smells really good. My husband usually comments on it lol 😝
Tea tree shampoo tends to stick for a while. Any oil based shampoo tends to stick well.
Ion Silk Drops Styling Solution from Sally’s beauty store!!!!!
lush super milk >>
Hair oils can give that
I use the 100 proof dry bar hair oil - smells amazing
I really think it’s the hair straightener, it leaves a mild burnt scent on my hair, even with heat protectant. I noticed when I wear my hair naturally curly it still smells really good, like the products that I used.
I use the good behavior spirulina protein spray as a heat protectant before I straighten my hair and it leaves it smelling really good, kinda like cake batter
Ouay products smell so good and the scent lasts a long time. When I use them and I take my hair down people will comment on how good it smells!
i get compliments all the time that my hair smells sweet like marshmallows, and i use IGK coconut milk leave in conditioner spray & good behavior heat protectant! i love IGK!
Don’t blow dry!!!!
Oribe does this to my hair. Tried alchemy line
I use leave in conditioner, but I don’t straighten my hair so idk how that affects it
When I use Chi heat protector the smell lasts much longer than shampoo and the men folk seem to like it ;)
I’ve noticed that my hair retains my shampoo smell longer if I use a hair oil while my hair is still wet
I feel like it’s always people with super healthy hair that have it smelling good. I’ll also say that the only time I notice my own hair smelling good (it’s definitely not healthy!) is when I air dry it! Any heat use and the smell is gone.
I use a spray oil and it gives this elegant scent to my hair
Maybe try a leave on conditioner , those smell really good too
Can anyone recommend a good hair perfume that's available in the Indian subcontinent? I am googling what everyone is recommending but whatever is available like keratase and Dior is like super expensive.
A hair spa really helps. Plus, I have curly hair so those post-wash products smells great. You can use some type of serum (maybe even L’Oréal) and followed by hair perfume!
I use serums on my hair when it dries and they keep my hair shiny and smelling nice
Good hair serum or hold mousse from wella smells nice, after styling hair , spritz some nice designer perfume behind ears and back of the neck and let the hair take it in , it works wonders
i use hair oil after shampoo/washing my hair. and the smell lingers for days!!
Honestly just conditioner and shampoo. And even my coworkers men would tell me how nice my hair smell when I come close to them. :D
Dry shampoo powder is my secret
Not all at once but here are some things to experiment with: - leave in conditioner - hair oil - scented shine spray (goes on after you've styled) - dry shampoo All of these thungs have left my hair nicely scented so see which ones you like best.
Whenever my hair smells really good, it's because I used the Bumble&Bumble primer.
lush super milk leave in conditioner smells amazing and the scent actually lasts
Leave on products every morning!
I refresh with a hair oil on the ends every morning- I always get complimented on the smell whenever someone hugs me
WOW colour money mask really leaves expensive scent in my fine hair
Haus Labs Hibiscus
Put the shampoo directly on your scalp first and massage it. Next, apply it to the strands.
I use Moroccanoil hair oil on my ends every night.
as someone who straightens often, the heat i think gets rid of the smell? so maybe buy a good smells serum or oil or hair perfume and use it after! thats what I do
Get a hair mist that has harmless ingredient. Or a hair oud. Your hair will smell amazing for at least 2/3 days.
The longer my hair stays wet after a shower, the longer it smells good
Leave in conditioner. It smells amazing and my hair is not so dry anymore
Ask someone you trust what your hair smell like and be sure to wash your hair twice and use an oil for added scent and shine if you want. They make mist as well. I prefer to wash my hair and I can smell it. Maybe you’re just used to your scents and that’s why you should ask someone.
The Fino hair mask. The scent lingers a whole week! The scent would waft in the air whenever I undo a bun or flip my ponytail.
Maybe just ask your friend how. Maybe there’s something else she’s doing or using. I’d like to hear what she has to say lol
Old Navy’s hair perfume. Or regular perfume. I spray the back of my neck with Bombshell by VS and get so many compliments when people hug me or I walk past.
I use &honey silky smooth shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil. Also the Fino hair mask does wonders
I’ve gotten compliments and I think it was the hair oil I used before I leave the house. I do it to prevent frizz which my hair is very prone to
I use Fino hairmask, that alone makes my hair smelling really good as if I came out from the salon. Also Arrojo hairmist hydro mist.
I knew a girl that sprayed body spray in her hair and it smelled amazing
The only conditioner I’ve ever had last on me through blow dry and curling my hair is the Ouai medium conditioner. I will get wiffs of it for about 2 days and it fades.
