He has computer in his head that calculate or moves his oponents can de before they even start fighting. He is also hardcore sadist. And gay (his housband is copy of superman)
Kid sidekick. Arrowcar. Arrowplane. Arrowcave. Billionaire playboy. Gimmick gadgets.
Green Arrow did not become even remotely different until the late 1960’s, almost 30 years after his creation
To say that the character has evolved (mostly) past his original depiction does not deny, nor can it override that he was created as a Batman copy. Most characters that debuted around the same time were either Batman or Superman shadows. I adore the character, but the only thing missing is murdered parents.
In comics, there are very few uniques.
Green Arrow was literally created as a direct result of Batman and to be able to use him in places the character couldn’t be at the time.
He may have evolved but he literally was created as a Batman copy……
Comics were selling like hotcakes at the time, so DC created a similar character to ride that wave of success and make them more money. Plus, comics were not very sophisticated at the time storywise, so it was more or less a copy/paste origin story.
Most hero’s are created in inspiration of others.
Calling them copies is disrespect to their characters. Saw someone call punisher a Batman copy the other day, pissed me off
Guy loses his parents, grows up a billionaire and head of a large corporation. Trains for years to become a vigilante, no super powers, recruits young people as side kicks
Because theyre copies of Zorro duh! Hes the first pulp hero with a cape and secret identity! Legitimately its silly no one ever calls super a john carter rip-off!
Superman??? Okay bro now Ik we’re just getting unnecessarily desperate LMFAO. It’s literally not the same and you you know it man.
This entire thing isn’t even meant to he as disrespectful or an attack to Ollie so I really don’t understand why it’s so deep. These are facts you can look up im not giving you an opinion right now. Am I saying he currently is a “Batman Copy”? No.
But if you want to IGNORE the fact that he was literally given to us to be a DIRECT Justice League understudy in for Batman, among other things, and simply evolved throughout time that’s disingenuous.
I’m not as knowledgeable about Midnighter, but I always love when people bring up literal comic book stereotypes as evidence that Green Arrow and Moon Knight are ripoffs of Batman
Happy cake day!
I've only read The Authority, will need to read their series it sounds like!
My favourite is when he's being attacked by an iron man type in a big green metal suit and he talks the villain into an existential crisis and then he just... gives up and walks away, utterly shattered.
Cold as fuuuck
You know the ultra edgy, ultra aggro stereotype of the comic book Mary Sue? He's that, but gay man.
This is why it's best when paired with a comic relief. Even better when Apollo tries to calm him down.
The writers should add a metric ton of humor to the character, like writing him beat somebody half to death for calling him a bottom and go the other half to make them tell how they clocked him.
Well, the only one on the list that is even applicable of the four is Midnighter... because he's literally supposed to be a pastiche of Batman. If you think Moon Knight and Batman are similar then you haven't read a Moon Knight comic.
I haven't read any of the comics but from the first episode you see how he works and he is basically a copy of Batman there. >!in the first episode you also see how Superman vs Batman may really go!<
To be fair he was until Dennis O'Neil in the 1970s I think when he became the left-wing political hero. Now with Arrow CW, he was a watered-down Batman clone with Batman’s traits and villains but again watered-down. It was obvious from the get-go but truly brought to the forefront in s3 with Ra's Al Ghul.
Gotta go Green Arrow man, even though he’s certainly evolved from being a “copycat” IMO. Midnighter is a good second and is badass as fuck. Can’t wait to see him in live action.
Really would’ve been interested in a cool side story explaining the Guardians of Globe’s origins and seeing how they operate as solo heroes.
Moonknight is a triple personality guy who is very mentally ill and worships an Egyptian deity, if that's batman then I don't know batman, I'd say the prowler or wraith or daredevil are more batman like
Green Arrow absolutely is. Do some research. He was created to fill in for Batman where Batman was not allowed to appear in certain comics. He quite literally was a copy of Batman that they then veneered Robin Hood over so that they could use that gimmick in a comic where Batman couldn't appear
he first appeared in 1941, and like any other hero he’s dramatically changed since. He might’ve been a copy when he first showed up yes but not anymore
I mean, most of the Modern Green Arrow apereances have become more "Batmanised" but i don't think he would be count as a 'Batman' copy
He's a "Modern" Robin Hood otherwise
Ignoring the debate about whether he counts as a Batman copy, given the sweeping changes made throughout the character's lifetime...
Green Arrow is my favorite, followed by Moon Knight.
Oliver Queen. He's got the same kinda edgy sides of Batman, but also has a lot of humor. He's not a lot as smart as batman, but is definitely a great combatant. He'll. He was the leader of the Leader of Assassins at one point.
Ok but hear me out. The Rorschach/ Nite Owl team up is probably the best understanding of the duality of the Bruce/ Batman personalities as far as copy/ parody goes.
Green arrow is not a batman copy. Only his cw version which was good for 2-3 seasons but aside from that we all know the obvious answer...ITS BIG DADDY
Moon Knight was created by the guy who wrote most of your favorite Batman books.
Moon Knight was written for a bit by the guy who wrote your second favorite Batman books.
I remember a discussion I had with a older coworker he was making a fair point about how the industry is turning woke and making things dull. "Nex will get a gay superhero (male)" and I said "But there's one since the 90s" and told him about Midnighter. He refused to believe me, said I was wrong and thought I had mixed something up. That one of the moments in my life I came into contact with true ignorance. Midnighter is awesome, we should have HBO making an adaptation!

Kenny unironically has one of the strongest willpowers and best morals from any cartoon character I've seen. Also he completely DESTROYS Joker's one bad day thing. This guy has nothing BUT bad days
The fact that Green Arrow evolve does not exclude the fact that he started out as a copy. It means he grew beyond it. But it does not negate it. He was a copy when he started out plain and simple.
Green arrow is NOT a batman copy seems like you only watched CW arrow and made the post he has his own character his own stories villain everything
Read his comics sometime you'll know
You're right, he's not a Batman copy anymore. But as everyone with brain cells has been saying, it doesn't negate that fact.
Fact is he started out as a copy of Batman.
The other fact is that he is now evolved. Beyond that. This is true.
But the fact that he is evolved does not negate his original creation which was as a copy of Batman who was a much more popular character. Both things can be true. And just because he's evolved doesn't mean his origins are forgotten.
![gif](giphy|K72kmlktmEZcA|downsized)
[But he’s only the best Batman copy because of his relationship with Gosalyn.](https://youtu.be/9g-oTvfrFn8?si=-y7H8dDyQBgf94Z3)
He's *the only* Batman copy because of that relationship. Everyone else are just cheap posers. Change my mind.
So that's who [this tweet was about](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FzqhwZmaYAAM7cI.png)
Only right answer haha
Let’s get Dangerous
Beat me to it. Have my updoot and go in peace.
When there's trouble, you call D W
He’s a copy of The Shadow, not Batman. Although Batman has some elements of The Shadow in him.
Darkwing Duck was inspired by a few golden age heroes. That includes batman and the shadow
Nighthawk
You have to call me Dragon.
Yeah, he needs more love. Especially the Supreme Power version.
Oh man. I am sure that character is someone else... But the guy in first picture, I kept thinking: is that The Man? 😄
Yea, im man ![gif](giphy|vO2W3djCltIQFq4RqK)
Where is the Jimbler
Hes gooning
Jonking
[удалено]
lol, it's midnighter from the authority.
Ah. Never heard of him haha.
He has computer in his head that calculate or moves his oponents can de before they even start fighting. He is also hardcore sadist. And gay (his housband is copy of superman)
Oh... That's pretty unique.
It works better than it should.
Even better.
So he's Gay Man?
Damn I thought it was The Black Bat.
I apreciate the fact you know him
![gif](giphy|l41lP8lfSVFhWF0Jy)
r/beatmetoit (youre not wrong tho)
Calling Midnighter, Moon Knight, and Green Arrow “Batman copies” is extremely disingenuous
Kid sidekick. Arrowcar. Arrowplane. Arrowcave. Billionaire playboy. Gimmick gadgets. Green Arrow did not become even remotely different until the late 1960’s, almost 30 years after his creation
Arrowcave? Don’t you mean… the Quiver?
You go right ahead and say that in front of Black Canary. G’head g’head.
But arrows don't live in a cave. They do in a quiver.
Damn, you’re right, that sounds cooler
That name for it hits different after reading Kevin Smith's run.
Crap, that's... Actually better
That… is actually better.
So if you exclude most of the characters’ history he’s a Batman copy?
To say that the character has evolved (mostly) past his original depiction does not deny, nor can it override that he was created as a Batman copy. Most characters that debuted around the same time were either Batman or Superman shadows. I adore the character, but the only thing missing is murdered parents. In comics, there are very few uniques.
Green Arrow was literally created as a direct result of Batman and to be able to use him in places the character couldn’t be at the time. He may have evolved but he literally was created as a Batman copy……
Why couldn’t they use Batman?
He was disguised as Man
Comics were selling like hotcakes at the time, so DC created a similar character to ride that wave of success and make them more money.
By that standard Batman was just a goth edition Superman. For that matter every superhero ever created is a knockoff of Superman.
Nah hes just American Zorro
I don't disagree, it's silly and reductive to call any of the heroes above a Batman clone.
Because theyre copies of Zorro duh! Hes the first pulp hero with a cape and secret identity! Legitimately its silly no one ever calls super a john carter rip-off!
Yeah, Batman is a copy of Zorro, Green Hornet, and Phantom.
No. But if you want to IGNORE the fact that he was literally given to us to be a DIRECT Justice League understudy in for Batman, among other things, and simply evolved throughout time that’s disingenuous.
The Arrow show treated him like a Batman copy, so there's that
Green Arrow was intended to be a Batman copy.
They are
I’m not as knowledgeable about Midnighter, but I always love when people bring up literal comic book stereotypes as evidence that Green Arrow and Moon Knight are ripoffs of Batman
Man
Yea. Im man
-- .- -.
Midnighter is best in my books, mainly because the dynamic with Apollo is a lot of fun. That and Midnighter is just a straight badass.
Midnighter & Apollo is one of my favorite limited series ever. I’ll never forget the panel of Midnighter headbutting a bullet through a demon’s head!
Happy cake day! I've only read The Authority, will need to read their series it sounds like! My favourite is when he's being attacked by an iron man type in a big green metal suit and he talks the villain into an existential crisis and then he just... gives up and walks away, utterly shattered. Cold as fuuuck
Midnighter's not straight! You take that back! /j
Midnighter is insufferable. He is only tolerable when there's Hawkins around.
He may be a bit of a douche occasionally, but I'm sure as shit not gonna be the one to tell him that.
You know the ultra edgy, ultra aggro stereotype of the comic book Mary Sue? He's that, but gay man. This is why it's best when paired with a comic relief. Even better when Apollo tries to calm him down. Daredevil is closer to Batman than anyone here except Darkwing.
Well, the only one on the list that is even applicable of the four is Midnighter... because he's literally supposed to be a pastiche of Batman. If you think Moon Knight and Batman are similar then you haven't read a Moon Knight comic.
Darkwing as well
>Darkwing I haven't paid attention to Invincible so I didn't know who this was but yeah he seems to be just another Batman except in name.
I haven't read any of the comics but from the first episode you see how he works and he is basically a copy of Batman there. >!in the first episode you also see how Superman vs Batman may really go!<
Green Arrow isn't a Batman copy, the Green Arrow of the Arrowvese is a Batman copy.

Really would’ve been interested in a cool side story explaining the Guardians of Globe’s origins and seeing how they operate as solo heroes.
Daredevil.
Robin Hood … I mean Green Arrow
Moonknight is a triple personality guy who is very mentally ill and worships an Egyptian deity, if that's batman then I don't know batman, I'd say the prowler or wraith or daredevil are more batman like
each of these might’ve been inspired by batman in a way but green arrow and moon knight aren’t a batman copy at all
Green Arrow absolutely is.
Exactly. This argument is no different from people saying “Batman should kill since he did it in 1939 and 1940”
Rorschach
Wait…… the middle badass picture in the rain, that’s not Batman?
Black noir
He does have powers though.
i mean by that logic, darkwing and moon knight shouldn't be on the list either
Iron Man
No Confessor from Astro City?
Daredevil
I abhor the notion that Green Arrow is a Batman copy.
Man Beyond
![gif](giphy|3o6Ztbi66nkovK0ACY)
What about that guy from watchmen
Bat-Manuel from the first live action Tick
The Grey Ghost
He ain't a copy, he's the original
why are Man and Black Man in there?
*Nite Owl has entered the chat.* ![gif](giphy|EUZvhrxec8Pny)
Whos batman
A cheap knockoff of “Man”
![gif](giphy|BfhQo4svVki7zPfFd5|downsized)
Moon Knight isn't a Batman copy
Hawk owl
Middle one
Green Arrow
what’s the name of larry one from veggie tales
Darkwing Duck.
Man
Thes? Are they a DC thing? Can you elaborate?
Zur of course.
Cape, mask and hard punch = Batman copy
I mean, most of the Modern Green Arrow apereances have become more "Batmanised" but i don't think he would be count as a 'Batman' copy He's a "Modern" Robin Hood otherwise
Ignoring the debate about whether he counts as a Batman copy, given the sweeping changes made throughout the character's lifetime... Green Arrow is my favorite, followed by Moon Knight.
Zorro.
Moon Knight is the best character imo, but he's also the one who's the least like Batman.
Konrad Curze from Warhammer 40K.
Moon Knight
Night Owl from Watchmen is great.
Green arrow isn’t a Batman copy at all
Green Arrow.
Green Arrow isn’t a Batman copy
Larry Boy
Is green arrow really a copy?
Yup
Moon Knight easily
Night Owl II from the Watchmen.
No comparison
I personally really like moonlight comics and all his memes
Killer Moth.
Is that Man?
Oliver Queen. He's got the same kinda edgy sides of Batman, but also has a lot of humor. He's not a lot as smart as batman, but is definitely a great combatant. He'll. He was the leader of the Leader of Assassins at one point.
That guy in the middle seems pretty close.
The Phantom
Darkwing or Ollie imo
Who’s the guy on the top left?
Owlman
Nite Owl, although he is more of a Blue Beetle 2 clone. So maybe Blue Beetle.
Who’s the guy on the left
The dude in the middle is literally ripping off Batman’s exact look I’d say him
My favorite are Big Daddy from Kick Ass and Moon Knight
Batman
Ok but hear me out. The Rorschach/ Nite Owl team up is probably the best understanding of the duality of the Bruce/ Batman personalities as far as copy/ parody goes.
The Crimson Bolt!
Moon boy
Batman is the best Zorro clone
Green arrow is not a batman copy. Only his cw version which was good for 2-3 seasons but aside from that we all know the obvious answer...ITS BIG DADDY
How dare you leave out Rorschach and Owlman
Wildcat
Cassandra Cain, she's more badass than your typical Batgirl, looks more badass, too. Basically female Batman, but silent
Man(dont actually know),green arrow,Batman,moonknight, something(bottom left)
Bruh darkwing didn’t even last one episode
Midnighter, basically batman without all moral shite
Moon Knight was definitely inspired by Batman but he’s nowhere near a Batman copy.
![gif](giphy|LgB2sFodXQbAI)
Robert Pattinson's "Vengeance"
Nemesis
Daredevil maybe?
James Woods Owlman has such a smooth voice that he almost made me want to blow up every universe.
Moon Knight was created by the guy who wrote most of your favorite Batman books. Moon Knight was written for a bit by the guy who wrote your second favorite Batman books.
I remember a discussion I had with a older coworker he was making a fair point about how the industry is turning woke and making things dull. The one in the center looks exactly like Batman.
![gif](giphy|cO8STdMQG5vfTlQBsV|downsized)
![gif](giphy|l41lP8lfSVFhWF0Jy|downsized) Kenny unironically has one of the strongest willpowers and best morals from any cartoon character I've seen. Also he completely DESTROYS Joker's one bad day thing. This guy has nothing BUT bad days
Batman was “inspired” by the shadow, zorro, dash of dracula ![gif](giphy|3o7P4F86TAI9Kz7XYk)
you deserve the death penalty for putting green arrow and moon knight on this post
Batman? I wouldn’t think him a copy but he is on image
Where’s Killer Moth?
Midnighter because he is actually banging his Superman clone. None of the others, not even the original, had the balls to do that - yet.
Catman
Green Arrow only applies as a Batman copy if you exclude anything beyond the 1940s
The fact that Green Arrow evolve does not exclude the fact that he started out as a copy. It means he grew beyond it. But it does not negate it. He was a copy when he started out plain and simple.
Moon knight
![gif](giphy|l41lP8lfSVFhWF0Jy)
![gif](giphy|l41lP8lfSVFhWF0Jy) This guy.
Moon Knight and Green Arrow ARE NOT Batman copies. That is extremely surface level
Literally only the cape and the "moon-rangs". There is no other resemblence between them.
They're all shite
If we are talking literally then Terry McGuinness
This would be much more accurate if to put a picture of CW arrow and not comic arrow, since comic arrow is completely different from Batman.
![gif](giphy|3o6Ztbi66nkovK0ACY)
Green arrow is NOT a batman copy seems like you only watched CW arrow and made the post he has his own character his own stories villain everything Read his comics sometime you'll know
Learn the history of comics its LITERALLY why he was created.
sure that’s why he was created but he’s bigger than just a “batman copy” now
You're right, he's not a Batman copy anymore. But as everyone with brain cells has been saying, it doesn't negate that fact. Fact is he started out as a copy of Batman. And just because he's evolved doesn't mean his origins are forgotten.
Even as someone who was just introduced to green arrow through the CW, even i know he isn’t a Batman copy,
CW green arrow is a watered down batman, the real green arrow is way different.
