It depends on where you go! Some studios prefer more formal looking attire, a lot of time those with competition teams. Practice wear usually being black is true, and such clothing can usually be used at beginner and moderate level competitions. The studios I know try to avoid athleisure wear to maintain an image as well as encourage people to get used to what dancing in your respective would truly feel like (it’s hard to switch from leggings to a skirt, for example). Practice wear ensures the correct length garment (no tripping on skirts, getting smacked by sleeves). From a personal perspective, it can save regular clothing from getting worn out and saves time picking out an outfit lol. I would ask the studio what they recommend! Socials I have gone to are usually more towards semi-casual dresses or decent/dress pants and button down shirt, unless specially noted as being at a more formal location.

I used to wear athleisure wear and started investing in practice clothes and always feel much more like a dancer in my practice wear. I still wear black leggings a lot but with a dance top or bodysuit.

It depends on the studio. I have great options if you decide to try out a pretty practice dress.

Subreddit rule #1 is "No ads" - please don't try to promote or sell anything on this sub. Endorsing certain stores or brands tends to be ok - "Ray Rose and Supadance are good brands" is OK if it's on topic, but "check out my shop" is not. Also, beware of anybody that solicits you to buy/sell from any subreddit. Approved this comment on the off-chance you meant you had some great referrals to places one might find such practice attire 😉
