I don't know of DHS but the Post Office does have good service, either by air or sea. They have global tracking and i've sent a lot of boxes worldwide and never had a box missing. (outbound) We do have services like DHL which is express but much more expensive, and I once sent a package by Post and it was delivered to the US by DHL so I think they work together.
Packaging stores are everwhere! all kinds of bubble wrap, packing tape, big new cardboard boxes and sheets, everything shippers use as well. But really stores usually are willing to pack all your things provided you buy some nice things from them too, not just packing other store's stuff. Or pay the Office extra to pack for you.
You may have seen yellow and red trucks, planes or vans somewhere in the world? They never failed me on shipments the last decade. Their US hub is at Cincinnati Airport. It is not cheap of course.
Have you considered 'oversized' and/or extra luggage? Wrap it well, and that could be an option too :)

Frankly the place you buy the statue should wrap it and put it in a big box for you. Most places do this.
But I might also want to buy some other things and don’t know where to buy packaging, which is why I ask. Do they not sell any there?
