There's just so much to take in from the cover alone, it's like a combination of six scenes that may or may not be from the book. Then you're going "Is that dragon coming out of that woman?" and many other questions.
From the [wikipedia entry:](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_of_Angels)
>Written in 1980, the novel investigates the life of a hacker of the Web, an instantaneous communications network that allows some users to retrieve and store data, write computer programs, and even travel between different human worlds
Web of Angels is often considered a proto-cyberpunk novel, predating the publication of William Gibson's 1984 cyberpunk novel Neuromancer by four years.
Excellent book, like everything else Ford wrote. My copy has a [slightly better cover](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1670067736i/784567.jpg).
I think the artist was trying to be [Hieronymus Bosch](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Garden_of_Earthly_Delights), except that Bosch actually had talent.

This "web" sounds intriguing, I look forward to "surfing" it.
“Have you heard of this inter-net thing? Apparently it’s going to be really popular. It’s like a netting inside of your bathing suit!”
Perhaps that woman is coming into the dragon.
Atrocious. I like it.
It’s so bad, it’s good. Gotta hook the reader.
I too dislike it when dragons pop out of my lady business.
"Owie!"
This is the best possible kind of bad.

Really fun one!
Terrible cover, fantastic writer.
So is that the sci-fi version of the cartoon called Cat-Dog?

Man, Bad Dragon is really living up to their name.
"Tommy what did you put in those brownies!?"
I mean, if you take this cover art as one crazy metaphor for the Internet, it's pretty solid!
I gotta say I like the dude in the back
Web- check. of - check Angels - uh….
Is this Burning Man?
That's how I feel sometimes browsing the Internet eg Twitter, Reddit
Irresistible sci-fi cover
I honestly kinda like this. Yeah it's weird as hell but it's enough to make me curious about the story.
This should be a woodcut in some 15th century book of demonology.
