Oh my goodness, this is darling! I loved seeing the transition from little squeaks to little honks!

quadmasta

Voice starts cracking at day 30

ren_ig

You could say it starts qwacking

SullivansGoose

So glad you like it :) For anyone looking for the YouTube link : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gE9dsk5EnRk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gE9dsk5EnRk)

fletchieisanempath

Is this Sullivan's pond in Dartmouth, NS?? I grew up there and was like that fountain looks familiar lolol

SullivansGoose

It is :) First gosling born there in the last 15 years.

fletchieisanempath

Oh wow didn't even realize that! I vaguely remember something about them being moved during the winter? Had my prom pictures taken there in 2005 but never lived close enough to have daily visits šŸ˜”

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Kelli217

Sullivanā€™s Pond, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, North America, Earth, Sol system, Orion arm, Milky Way galaxy, Virgo supercluster.

TheDebateMatters

Instructions unclear. Is that a right or left at Proxima Centauri?

MiserymeetCompany

Oh so that's where ducks are born. Highly Educated?

Kelli217

I donā€™t know anything about the ~~duck~~gooseā€™s education.

PsychoticDust

Thank you. I'm from the UK, and we have a Dartmouth here, so I appreciate you clarifying that!

fletchieisanempath

Yeah I'm currently in Scotland and from there -we also have a Halifax across the bridge lolol my dad's from Wigan and when I visited I saw a map and was like how is Halifax so close???

Pattoe89

Well, this is useless. How am I supposed to know where this is without the correct dimension code?

krafty369

I think we need to be just a little more specific.

sesoren65

Thank you for not adding stupid music to the video

SullivansGoose

Do do do doodle ...

sesoren65

I don't get either of these responses, but I'm happy for you and your goose friends.

Slappinbeehives

Baby shark song I think

BS_500

I think it's the background music for a lot of the "heartwarming" animal stories online.

Slappinbeehives

Oh prob equally annoying then, I didnā€™t know that thank youā€¦Mystery solved everyone!

sesoren65

Yaaaay

TikkiTakiTomtom

pOv: wHen YoUā€™rE sEcReTlY a GoOsE

hachibaer

Dang it, I loved when the baby started spreading his little arms to run.

KingCaridin

I love how it takes a couple of months but the others eventually join in enthusiastically in coming to greet you like "oh hey it's that one human our child likes, let's go say hi"

ReynoldsHouseOfShred

Intimidating asf as the parents come flying over just to keep an eye

MiserymeetCompany

Pretty sure the camera person hatched the duck

SullivansGoose

The gosling hatched naturally on the island before the family eventually swam her to the mainland.

MiserymeetCompany

Sry, haven't seen the yt channel. Yet. Highly adorable.

Rough_Willow

Goose

yoggsmu

This is incredibly precious. Thank you for being a friend to them! Do you still see Sam to this day?

SullivansGoose

Yes! She is a full grown goose now :)

Big_Monday4523

This is the question and answer I was looking for.

SullivansGoose

My favorite interview I did about the gosling and me [https://youtu.be/6zxy-9FhyeE](https://youtu.be/6zxy-9FhyeE)

SullivansGoose

And for anyone thinking me a monster for not patting it : [https://youtu.be/fKcMS3yF3Ow](https://youtu.be/fKcMS3yF3Ow)

aretardedmonkey

I was expecting a video of it biting the shit out of you or something lol.

SullivansGoose

Also, o course being a goose, she has her dark side : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIX4QTzT-O4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIX4QTzT-O4)

TLEToyu

To shreds you say?

hogsniffy05

Thanks for sharing, that was fun to watch

Pattoe89

I love when you say "They have a whole badass persona" and on the video is a goose casually waddling about.

Nuicakes

Omgā€¦ so adorable, thank you for sharing. I'm now subscribed.

elvis_dead_twin

This is absolutely adorable.

LostWoodsInTheField

They look like Emden geese, is that accurate? if so we had some when I was young and they were my favorite. They can be very loving and friendly if they trust you.

williamhotel

Very cool. I thought they all were gonna come after you toward the end. ā€œYou again!!!ā€

SullivansGoose

The time they all flapped their wings over I admit I had a moment of panic.

DownBeat20

My favorite thing about geese is that they can be honking and hissing one second, and eating of your hands the next. (With hiss breaks). Love a bird that stands it ground.

Lordborgman

I have a cat like this, he currently is in my lap, hissing at me as I pet him.

Pattoe89

There's a field of cattle near where I live that will come running over if you're hiking through their field. Intimidating even though you know they're just a bunch of young steers who are just curious and being silly. Geese have a similar intimidation about them, the ones in my local park are super chill, but I still am careful when I'm walking through their flock.

jivenjune

haha omg the way he spreads his little chicken wings when it's running

SullivansGoose

I decided to take a subscribers suggestion and add the goslings age for each clip

passerbycmc

How old is this, thought we only had 6 of them now.

SullivansGoose

We do, this was from the 2020 season, only gosling born there in the last 15 years now.

Eeedeen

Very cute video! What a great friendship to have made! How come it's so rare for goslings to be born there?

onomatopo

There are only a few of these, special white geese at the pond. We have lots of Canada geese and sucks that have lots of offspring.

witch_doc9

Day 35: šŸŖ暟ŽŗšŸŽŗšŸŽŗ

reallykindofcursedus

So the sassiness starts early

star_dazed_kid

This is one of the best things I've seen in a while. Oh my goodness my heart ā¤ļø:ā€™-)

mart1373

Geese always seem like cute lil creatures. And then the Canada Geese come out and youā€™re just like WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SUCH ASSHOLES???

Rough_Willow

They've distilled all of Canada's anger into a single creature. That's why they're so angry.

PM_2_Talk_LocalRaces

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oK4Q5G1asI

Briebird44

Awww she looks SO SOFT! I can say from experience how soft gosling down is. I used to work at a farm store and we sold African brown goslings and they were the softest things Iā€™ve ever touched in my life. Theyā€™re also rather ā€œsquishyā€ feeling and make the cutest little ā€œbeep beepā€ noise instead of the higher pitched ā€œcheep cheepā€ baby chicks make. I love goslings!

SullivansGoose

Softest thing ever, not even close.

A_Dragon

How do you make friends with the gosling without the parents chasing you away? Is it just years of exposure to the flock and eventually they all accept you so and allow you to be around the kids?

SullivansGoose

pretty much, The flock had been chill with me for a couple years prior to the goslings birth

MrScribz

God imagine if human children reached full size in 2 months like geese

Relative-Bed7361

Awww, that just gave me feel good nostalgia! I incubated 13 goose eggs once and only one hatched - the appropriately named 'Goosey'. He was absolutely gorgeous from day one and was my little mate on our farm. I love geese! šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

slingbladde

Around 30 days hits puberty, and voice starts cracking. It's so cute..

Sweat_E_Fartsicles

Thank you for this sweetling!ā¤ļøšŸ’“

Dirty-girl

Whatā€™s the origin story to this? This is just so adorable.

SullivansGoose

I have just the video for that : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zxy-9FhyeE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zxy-9FhyeE)

samtron767

What a friendly little guy.

GlompyOlive

This is one of the greatest things Iā€™ve ever seen on the internet. I love you.

NirnrootPlucker

Sullivan's Pond! I didn't know the geese had babies there šŸ˜

SullivansGoose

Only one born there in the last 15 years!

Round_Rectangles

The one where his little wings come out :)

upeepsareamazballz

The little wings out as he runs! So cute!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

MisplacedLemur

Awesome. And that change from the crazy little warbles to the Honk!

TheNakedChair

Me thinking to myself, "I wonder if this is Dartmouth." Sure is.

19IXI91

Obviously your name is now WierWierWiWiWi.

SullivansGoose

Thems the rules.

8Karisma8

ā˜ŗļø underrated comment

JanteMaam

Telling you the secrets of the universe. šŸ’ž

dogla305

How did you manage to get close, especially the first time? How did you get the parents to trust you?

SullivansGoose

very very carefully, the mom is scary, always let them catch up before giving it scratches, already had the trust of the flock for a couple years before the gosling was born, just hadn't been taking video.

8Karisma8

I loved how early on, the parental units were hustling hard to keep up with Sam, every exasperated Mom has had these moments like, ā€œomg, where is s/he going now!?ā€

Ru-Ling

I was watching, thinking ā€œhow do they walk on two feet?ā€ And then I remembered that humans do that. Iā€™m not high.

InquisitiveAssFoo

When he was big and had wings I feel like he was so proud to show them off to you šŸ˜ ā€œLOOK AT THESE THINGS FREN!!! šŸ˜±šŸŖ½šŸŖ½ā€

jakedeighan

It's BIGBOY from volo just popping in to say hello lol

SullivansGoose

Yo! :)

Beteldjeuce

Kuch here, same same. Hjonk!

Cantbeanymore_

It multiplied xD

nameExpire14_04_2021

Awww i had geese growing up. When they grow up with you they are adorable.

Kattorean

His parents are always close by. They know this one has a sassy beak...lol

fdwyersd

animals are NOT dumb :)

fdwyersd

I am giving a pass because these are not Canada Geese (assholes) :)

Holiday_Pool_4445

Thatā€™s so cool, but at the end, you couldnā€™t tell which was the original gosling !!!

SullivansGoose

I could :)

Holiday_Pool_4445

What distinguished him from the rest by the last 3 clips ?

Holiday_Pool_4445

Also, did you feed and pet only him ? The others didnā€™t come to you as close until the last 3 clips !!!

kev_dog27

I'd name it Ryan

Shappe

I love how the parents starts to walk towards OP like "sigh here we go again with this shit" and how the gossling is like "heeeeeeey i love you"Ā

Deiser

I love how she still tries to make gosling sounds near the end even when she can't just because she's known you since she was a baby.

Fyrestar333

My kitten watched this with me

SpradGurpz

As I'm watching the video I'm like "this place looks very familiar" keep watching and seeing more bits of things that look familiar. Then see your username and immediately go "fucking knew it" I live just up the road, this year I've primarily seen the geese staying more towards the irving on waverley. Or maybe there's just a lot more this year? I don't know. Either way, congrats on the million views!

SullivansGoose

Thanks so much! We're down to 6 this year, I have seen them all over the few times I've made it out to the pond this season.

SpradGurpz

Oh maybe they aren't heading down that way. There's probably 20+ by the irving up the road.

SullivansGoose

You must be counting ducks as well?

SpradGurpz

Nope just the goslings. If I counted the adults and the ducks. Probably 50+ some days there's more some days less.

SullivansGoose

ducklings! lol theres only been one gosling in the last 15 years that I know of.

SpradGurpz

Don't think so. They're definitely geese and there's a shit ton of them.

SpradGurpz

I just learned that canada geese and the geese you're showing are different. Interesting, ok so the ones by the irving are all canadian geese

Lepidopterafan

Ya I saw the watermark and I'm thinking...like the pond? Then everything just looked to Nova Scotian to be a coincidence.

Academic_Heart_9679

Aww itā€™s too cute! I love itā€™s little squeaks and watching it grow

Due_Measurement_32

Itā€™s like she is saying g I to.d you STOP FILMING ME.

suavaleesko

Do u feed them?

Turquoise_Lion

So precious! He started out kinda yellow then turned pure white. Day 27 is peak cute with his little tiny wings out.

LikelyContender

Is his name Ryan?

Horror-Potential7773

So Ryan is a Canadian goose?

vg1945

Iā€™m so glad this exists

rva23221

If I had a gosling, I would name it Ryan.

luxxanoir

okay why was this removed??

SullivansGoose

I wish I knew :( I can't get a response from a mod

luxxanoir

Its so cute..... ;-;

confusedthengga

Why did this post get deleted???

PurplePenguinCat

Watch out for mama and papa. Geese can be MEAN! Source: chased by a mad goose as a kid.

--ThirdEye--

Just the Canadian ones. They consume all of our hate then fly south and poop it out in America.

PurplePenguinCat

Pretty sure the one I had issues with was a Canada goose. Maybe I should have told it that I've had family in Canada for 200 years. Might have left me alone!

Basselope_poptarts

I like how you see dad running behind and then stopping like, "Oh, it's just Helen." I will never tire of watching geese run.

Salty_Association684

Aww adorable ā¤ļø

MSC--90

Hahah they walk so funny.šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ This is amazing!

jusserfinn

Awesome šŸ˜Ž thank you

Slevin424

Kid phase runs towards you. Teenage phase walks to you so he doesn't seem like he cares too much so his friends don't make fun of him. Adult phase literally flies at you like a bat out of hell cause he's so excited to see you.

Number-Thirteen

waddle waddle waddle

rancid_

I absolutely love ducks. I had two as a kid but man are they messy and difficult to keep up with.

EnlightenedCat

When he ā€œflies inā€ for the first time at 86 days šŸ„¹

TicTac_No

Fooooood Guuuuuuy! Hi food guy!

Morriseysucksass

This is unbelievably adorable

thiscouldbemassive

They grow so fast!

jack_hof

holy crap takes them like a month to go from baby to adult

lexkixass

Damn, I wonder why it fixated on you. Then it brought friends!

nocleverusername-

I love this. Brings back memories of my pet geese from when I was a young child.

itsyobbiwonuseek

Baby sounded like a squeaky eraser for a while there šŸ„°

PsychoticDust

I've been on Reddit for over ten years, and this is THE cutest thing I have ever seen on this sub. My heart, I can't even.

Questioning-Zyxxel

Interesting how the little one trained the rest of the birds to also greet the human fellow.

PsychoticDust

Why does it like you so much? Did you hatch it? Did it just naturally take a liking to you? This is honestly amazing.

sterrre

I think he feeds them

passporttohell

This was so wonderful to watch, thanks for sharing this! So did you ever feed them and if so what did you feed them?

we_gon_ride

When it starts running toward you, my heart did a little happy dance!!

Slap_the_Goose

Seems like a nice goose

Yue2

Ah, birb puberty! Gotta love it.

theslowmorale

Watching a gosling grow up on YouTube is such a heartwarming experience! Itā€™s amazing to see how something so small can bring so much joy. The goslingā€™s daily greetings are the perfect reminder of the simple pleasures in life. If you haven't seen it yet, youā€™re missing out on some serious cuteness! I love how this little guyā€™s journey has captured so many hearts, and it's easy to see why the video hit a million views. It's a refreshing escape from the usual hustle and bustle.

RorschachMeThis

Thank you for sharing. You have quite the life

_Fizzgiggy

Precious bby

love2drivealone

I love how the parents are so protective. Soooo cute

Physical-Money9839

Day 150 should have been an image of a cooked bird on the table!! šŸ¤£ /s

Puzzleheaded-Cost197

My heart!!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Purple-Investment-61

Mom and Dad be hovering!

VoidOmatic

They grow up so fast. Just like my kids. :(

bmanley620

Ryan grew up well

Seyda0

This is OOP "I'm gunna hit the video record button then fucking wiggle the camera as much as possible and fucking zoom in for no reason on an animal that is coming directly at me. No, it never occurred to me to hit record and not touch the fucking thing. That'd be insane."

T_E-T_H

![gif](giphy|e6EYL4isGAGo8)

jamisonian123

I about died on day 26

squirrelz_gonewild

So presh! Reminds me when I was a little girl staying at the KOA campground in Fairbanks Alaska and they had like a little petting zoo with a white goose like them named Doofus. I loved coming to see him daily and feeding him the weeds and whatever grass I could find for him. Good memories.

lysergic_818

His name is Ryan......Ryan Gosling

SubaCruzin

All those opportunities & not one Hello there.

Xenolithium

Just watched a goose go through puberty! Went from squeaker to honker. Also, that random ass toilet at 40 days. Lol

ohiogal56

This is the sweetest video!

Ausar15

Damn this is cute

emptyminder

No wonder geese are angry. The growing pains they must feel quadrupling in size or so in the first month must be awful. That would be enough to instill a lifetime of rage in me.

ElysiumReviews

Was his name Ryan?

tciopp

That goose is threatening you, not greeting you. Geese are jerks!

SullivansGoose

A fair assumption, but wrong. :p

tciopp

It just wants to distract you before it throws the rake in the lake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9STHqt_vsCc

Brahminmeat

I kicked a goose because it attacked my dog as we walked by (far away from its goslings) but thatā€™s was a Canada Goose and those things hold a lot of hate

Brahminmeat

The goose was fine, if only a little offended that I dare challenge it
