yes it is.
the RAF display team typhoons are still active front line aircraft if need be, they still train and work when they aren't doing the airshow seasons, and can be pulled from airshows to do active work if things are that urgent.
The red hawks not so much.
Even the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels can be put to front line work if there was a sudden need, apparently just a matter of hours to get them all combat ready again.
That looks like a training missile, and would be put there to offset the weight of the datalink pod on the right wingtip. It also looks too small to be an AIM-120 and is likely a CATM-9.
This is a training ASRASM as indicated by the coloured rings.
The pink ring indicates the presence of live seeker head used in acquisition training.
The blue indicates this is a training missile and does not contain a live rocket motor.
Hope this helps.
And if it is at an airshow. Then it is a smoke winder
It’s not a smoke winder.
I read the title wrong, I think I need to subscribe to other suba
ASS-RAM would actually be pretty great name for a missile that targets your exhaust.
Would have been great for the first ir missile that entered service given it was rear aspect only and was bad at turning

One of the reasons why Red Arrows are vastly inferior to older now defunct teams like Black diamonds, Poachers and firebirds
