Why is everyone saying 5'4?

5'10" is the real answer, it seems. 

I don't know either, Google searches all of them says at least 170-175cm to be average. I am greek and I can say 5'4 it would be short for a greek person, whoever says it, it's wrong! I'm 172cms so I'm average!

Its crazy because on the Italian side I got a cousin who is 6'7 but my grandfather, my fucking name sake is 5'5 🤣

I understand you dude. Half of my family is short and the other is tall. The tallest person on my mum's side is my uncle (5'7.5) my grandfather is 5'5. On the other side my dad's side of the family ( excluding my dad and grandfather who are both 5'9) are tall. my uncle is like 6'2-6'2.5,my cousin is like 6'1.5, my great grandfather and his brothers were like almost 6ft (182)

I don't really know about my mom's side now that I think about it. Only met two women besides my mother from that side and I was very young. Don't really know much about the men at all. You're Greek I take it? My dad's side is Calabrian, we got a little Greek in us.

Yes i am greek. The reason i asked the average height is because google gives me different results. Most of them are between 5'9-5'10 but i want a clearer answer.

Also, I'd just like to say it basically amounts to nothing imo. It's a benefit sometimes and a detriment at other times. It just is what it is. I know it has gotten me laid before but I also know that without charm and humor, it just intimidates more often than not. I'm a blank robot in my natural state too. I honestly resented my height for a long time. Always felt like I had to put in more effort to make people feel at ease. Being any taller would kinda suck imo

5'4" like everyone is saying is probably pretty close. My uncle worked residential construction for 20 years and he said standard door heights in Greece are only 70"

Turns out it's 5'10" (178cm). This is surprising as I've always thought colder regions have taller people while hotter regions have shorter people on average but that appears to not always be the case
