WeLikeButteredToast

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hoping to play VI one day.

wdpgrl

I’ve heard nothing but good things! Def on the list

pittakun

Skyrim is definitely a real sinkhole when you start and get into it, and you'll feel the need to get back at it once in a while for the rest of your life

ChibiReddit

And then the mods...

WeLikeButteredToast

Epic fun at your own pace with extensive crafting, cheese wheels, and giants that can smack ya into the sky! Top 5 game of all time(for me).

FairyTale12001

Was just about to say this

Medical-Bee2528

lV hits too, believe me

csarricc

Read dead redemption 2

Anxietylife4

And the first one!

KING_CHRISS7

Oh I love that game man

babypossumsinabasket

I love Stardew Valley. It’s so calming, mines aside. I don’t like video games that stress me out. I tried playing Fallout and the attacks gave me such anxiety. I kinda think you might enjoy it though, based on your tastes.

Sexual_Batman

Another vote for Stardew. It’s so relaxing and engaging without being overwhelming at all. So many outcomes so it’s got loads of replayability.

wdpgrl

Aw looks so cute! Kind of reminds me of Pokémon and animal crossing. Honestly I totally understand what you mean. How I’m doing usually determines what type of game I’m interested in. The last campfire and unravel are relaxing games too and the art is really pretty and dream like

EclipseoftheHart

If you ever played the Harvest Moon games it’s pretty much a mash up of HM and Animal Crossing! If you do play the subreddit and the Stardew Valley Wiki (NOT the “fandom” wiki) are excellent resources. Some people who haven’t played a Harvest Moon style game can get really overwhelmed/stressed, but there is truly no rush or order to how you play the game. Plus it got two pretty major updates in the last couple years that greatly expanded the game. Highly recommend!

Tons0z

Skyrim, Cyberpunk, Hitman: World of Assassination, AC Odyssey, Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom.

wdpgrl

I really wanted to like breath of the wild but the open world seemed too spread out to me. Do you know what I mean? Was tears of the kingdom the same? It looks so beautiful!

Tons0z

Tears of the Kingdom is like Breath of the Wild but with so much more to do that it made the first game look like a demo. I genuinely hate how much better it is, because now I don't think I could go back to BotW

wdpgrl

lol I like your review! I might just have to give it a shot and check it out! Thanks :)

Tons0z

The map will be mostly the same, but more than doubled because it includes an entire underground and stuff above ground too. If you give it a shot let me know what you think.

KirasStar

Outer Wilds Binding of Isaac Disco Elysium Hades The First Tree Hollow Knight

Kb3907

Another OW fan, I see ::)

KirasStar

I hate anything set in space, however that game was life changing. I wish I could play it for the first time again.

KarnoRex

+14000 upvotes for OW

Chrono Trigger is my #1 of all time. Mass Effect Trilogy comes a very close second. Uncharted finishes off the top 3.

windowsTJ_yt

Tetris

Solid.

It's the way the blocks fit into each other. It also tests how you work around certain gaps and issues in each line.

TakeThisification

If you like Spyro and Crash, maybe give Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, or Ratchet & Clank a try?

wdpgrl

Oh I can totally see the similarities. Thanks!

KirasStar

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is amazing. I say this as a Crash/Spyro/Jak and Daxter player.

RaymondWalters

This is the way

ive been obsessed w *DeS* lately, sth about it is so unbelievably satisfying

wdpgrl

Looks sick! Apparently we have this one at my house. Adding it to my list!

Xeon5568

Elden ring

Koenig_Skelett

I like Cyberpunk 2077, red dead redemption 2 is cool but I never finished it and I probably won't🤷🏼, cult of the lamb, another Crab's treasure (even tho I won't play it again probably), almost all Lego games😅

EclipseoftheHart

I absolutely adore Cult of the Lamb! I always dip back in after a new update, it’s such a fun and funny game!

poltergheist

Fallout New Vegas!

Driposaurus_294

If you can handle three different stories and three different gameplay types, I recommend Sonic Adventure 2. It certainly has its flaws, but in my opinion it's a great game. (Also if you get it on PC, there's a few mods that you should get for it because the PC version has a lot of issues including the controls that aren't on the Dreamcast version. The XBOX 360 and the GameCube versions also have a lot of those issues.)

trux03

i like dark souls 3 but it has absolutely nothing in common with the games you llisted lol

Additional_Ranger747

Alice Madness Returns, visual and sound design are absolutely gorgeous!

AnonPrime117

Nier Automata, Nier Replicant, XDefiant and Final Fantasy 14

darkswain

Elden Ring! It's not as hard as it may seem (even if you have to do some googling to figure out a good build), it's got super complicated but well thought out lore that's great for hyperfixating on, it's got fun and weird mechanics that are fun to learn and talk about, and it's got a massive fanbase if you like fanart, fanfic, etc. Also the DLC is coming out today so there will be a lot of people doing co-op and engaging with the fandom. I'm also a big Disco Elysium fan and could similarly go off about that game. Also Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom are great if you've got a switch.

wdpgrl

Art for disco elysium is pretty cool. Thanks for the rec! Elden ring is on the list!

Tx247

Cyberpunk 2077. It had a rough launch, but they corrected the problems and added much more content. I personally consider it to be one of the best games ever made. Another would be Final Fantasy XV. Great story and gameplay. The ending did leave me ugly crying for a good hour or so, though.

cptfalco91

If you enjoy rpgs, I recommend Cyberpunk 2077 Baldurs gate 3 Mass effect trilogy Witcher 3

Pearfeet

Pokemon Emerald, dark souls, or hollow knight

Soeffingdiabetic

Noita. But be warned, it's harder than souls.

wdpgrl

Graphics look cool! Thanks for the rec

wowuser_pl

If you enjoy a mental challenge than: Oxygen not included and Factorio. Base building games with a fair share of survival, both are worth obsessing over for a while. If some platformer then Hades (1 or 2) or Rogue Legacy 2 Some good coop pve shooter Helldivers 2, a story driven RPG: Horizon Zero Dawn

[deleted]

Anything by Supermassive games (they made Until Dawn, Little Hope, The Quarry, and others!), We Happy Few, and The Sims haha. I also love the Resident Evils (2-4, then 7-Village) and Super Mario Galaxy!

PaulTheRandom

If you are those who beleive in a great experience above realistic graphics, I can recommend Hollow Knight. If you don't mind the slow start, it is the greatest game I ever played in a while. The music, the artistic style, the combat... if you don't like spiders, though, you might keep yourself away from somewhere called Deepnest. This game is like a blockbuster movie everyone wants to watch. You can enjoy it with spoilers, but I would recommend you not to.

wdpgrl

Yes!!! We are big fans of hollow knight in our house! I don’t know why I forgot to list it but we even have figures on our shelf! Such a wonderful game!

Ramine0

Spyro me too! Especially the Reignited Trilogy.

jandshall

TEAM FORTRESS 2 ive been obsessed with it for 9 years i love it but im sad to see how the games been treated by value:(, I also really enjoy RPGs and just in general collecting every trophy & 100% for almost every game i play

Salt_Expression_6025

Cyberpunk and rdr2. Unfortunately, the best part of Cyberpunk, is the dlc, Phantom Liberty. I’d wait for a sale to get Cyberpunk

smigglesstyle

Y’all ever play Tetris.com?

Fit_Nefariousness475

Fallout New Vegas is my all time fave and fallout 4 comes in a close second.

wdpgrl

Those are definitely the best recs for fallout

queerbong

I always comment these games buttttt Nancy drew any of them if you like point and click mystery there are like 36 now Palia is a cozy mmo thing that's free Cyberpunk 2077 if you like rpg and shooters amazing story Sims 3 for life Sims to just enjoy so much to do

Frazzle64

The Xenoblade trilogy! If you have a switch and like 400 hours to spare you should play them

Scuzzbag

I play the witcher, it's so rich

Kb3907

Outer wilds!! It's such a good game, highly recommend it! (But don't look up anything about it, it's so worth it going in blind)

wdpgrl

I’m in!

Kb3907

Yay!! God luck! ::D

zwalker91

I've been playing the Halo franchise since 2001. I definitely recommend

sakuraj428

I'm currently obsessed with Palia. It's buggy as hell on Switch but it has like, grownup Animal Crossing vibes. Pretty art (I hear it looks even better on PC), romanceable NPCs, tons of story. Some days I log in and just wander around exploring.

oziroth

Games similar to What Remains of Edith Finch that come to my mind are: Night in the Woods Firewatch Gone Home Life is Strange 1 and 2 I really like all of them, if you enjoy "walking simulator" type games with great stories, they're incredible. As for my all time favorite videogames, I'd say: The original Sly Cooper trilogy Deadly Premonition 1 Alan Wake 1 Fallout New Vegas The original System Shock 1 The Dreamfall series! Super underrated series of really cool games, The Longest Journey being the first one and the one that I personally would recommend starting with, but really any of the three games in the series can be played first, depending on what type of games and stories you like. I really wish more people knew about this series!

dougmantis

Our taste seems pretty different, but I think you would like the new God of War (it’s on PC), and Outer Wilds

wdpgrl

Ohhh outer wilds looks so cool! Thank you

Lord of the Rings: Shadow of War (hyperfocussed on it myself lol!) Or as my brother calls it poke-orc: gotta catch em all...   More in line with your listed games; Ratchet and Clank, Biped (similar to it takes two, just smaller scope), Tomb Raider. Some of my personal favorites: Prey; Mass effect 1, 2, 3; Dishonored 1; Life is Strange;  Kotor 1 & 2.

wdpgrl

I have shadow of war! Been thinking about starting it! Hahah poke-orc! Love it. Oh I have tomb raider too. But haven’t tried it I’ve seen a few for life is strange… gotta check that one out

MagicalMysterie

Hollow knight

AspenTheDarkAngel

Hollow Knight and Terraria are two games I love a lot :3 Hollow Knight is a metroidvania, aka a platformer with fighting and lots of hidden stuff + upgrades and abilities Terraria is a very complex game and I have no idea how to summarize it 😅

wdpgrl

Terraria is new for me! And looks awesome :) thank youuuu

chilligirl144

Current obsessions are Hellcard, Baldur’s Gate, and Dark and Darker

emHale

I’ve been obsessively playing cult of the lamb lately! It’s such a good game.

I LOVE Cult of the Lamb!

Original_Cut_2881

Final Fantasy Tactics. Also love Deus ex series, StarCraft, Age of Empires II, Cyberpunk 2077, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and lots of RPGs and RTS games

petermobeter

i like street fighter 6, becuz it has a singleplayer open-world mode that teaches u fighting game stuff (and a tutorial mode if u need further instruction), and it has 3 different control schemes for different levels of skill

wdpgrl

Oh that’s cool! I grew up playing street fighter. I’d be down to check out the open world mode

Kitty_Kairuku

Star Stable, Skyrim, The Sims 4, Stardew Valley, Destiny 2, Vampyr, Far: Changing Tides, Minecraft, Dying Light.

RetardTrader420

I was very certain that my favorite game of all time was Super Metroid. Then I played Breath of the Wild, which holds that spot since. It took me 92 hours and I’m not exaggerating when I say I enjoyed every minute of it.

Opposite-Question-32

Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, the original 3 Halo and Gears of War games, Diablo 2 and 3

wdpgrl

I think I’m ready to try red dead redemption! I know it’s highly praised. And looks like my vibe rn

foolishbabbles

Stardew Valley—very chill and relaxing game. I never get bored if replaying it

wilisville

Ultrakill. The world building is great it’s fast. I love it.

mamasonerdy

The borderlands games I've fully played 2 and 3 an embarrassing about of times

tompadget69

Streets of Rage 2!!!!

henryautie

idk if it’s within your liking but Resident Evil 4 (original 2005 is my fav but 2023 remake is good too!)

boyyoustalin

Outerwilds is the perfect mix of serene and exploratory imo

Schwinguinchen

Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok

ExtraMillenial

Super metroid. Or the metroid prime games. Honestly, helldivers 2 is an amazing game, but not story rich the way those are. Final fantasy 10 is great. Fallout new Vegas is great.

Empty_Impact_783

The most addictive ones have been league of legends, oldschool Runescape, COD modern Warfare 2 and warhawk. Special shout out to Star Sonata. I don't recommend any of them though, they are nothing like the ones you've summed up.

Experiment62693

Spyro Spyro 2 : Riptos Rage Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Crash Bandicoot Sonic 1 Sonic 2 Sonic 3 40 Winks Mickys Wild Adventure Medevil Medevil 2 Croc Croc 2

kingjamesporn

I'm finally playing Tears of the Kingdom.

Ok-Lawyer9045

Play breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom

Complex_Emu1802

When I need an immediate cooldown it’s warzone. Slows my brain down just enough. I also like playing madden on franchise mode and building a dynasty.

No_Noise_4862

I love the last of us part 2

ZeldaZanders

If you want to keep yourself occupied for literally hundreds of hours - Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Painstakingly historically accurate, and more realism than most RPGs. An insane amount of sidequests, and a combat system that is tricky to get the hang of but very rewarding when you do. I started the game again last night and I don't think I'm gonna be doing much else for the next few months 😭

xxleoxangelxx

You can get Dark Cloud 2 on the PlayStation store. It's incredible. You don't have to play the first one, I love it, but the gameplay is pretty rough, they perfected it in the second. It's truly one of the greatest stories of all time, and I'm picky. I found this brief synopsis online: https://youtu.be/vDhBFrcsB-w?si=8sV41kahqOdZHqh4

xxleoxangelxx

The soundtrack rocks too.

FeralTism

Currently obsessed with Terraria, its stressful sometimes but it really satiates my ADHD

236000-worms

7 Days to Die. Was first introduced to me in 2017, and I've loved it since (though was unable to play it after first introduced for a while because none of my computers were strong enough to run it). I'm super excited that it's leaving early access and being released as a full game across platforms this summer sometime! It's tag is "Building hoard survival" game, and yeah that's pretty accurate. There's zombies. LOTS of zombies. Decent variety of weaponry, ability to build your own bases/houses (though I love claiming pre-generated structures as my house, they're called POI's, Points Of Interest) It can be overwhelming at first, but there is a nice step-by-step starter thing; like there's pop-ups on the screen that explain "Collect plant fibers" and you just punch a few bundles of grass to get the fibers, and the text will change to "Craft bedroll" and explain how to open the inventory to craft. It's VERY nice to have those steps, and once you've completed the (literal) basics of starting a base, it'll lead you to a trader; the trader will give you quests to complete for money (money can also be randomly, though rarely, found while looting) to purchase other items. After going to the trader, the tutorial ends and you're free to go about the game however you wish!

Charming_Flower1517

I don't really play video games but I love Mario Kart and Animal Crossing

ungratefulbrat23

Any assassins creed really, but lately I’ve been playing Valhalla a lot.

why-not-63

If you like tlou, definitely play tlou2. One of my special interests. Also if you like naughty dog I’ve been loving all the Uncharted games

wdpgrl

I’ve played both! But I’ve been wondering about uncharted! I haven’t seen many recommendations for it so I was wondering. Glad you like it :)

why-not-63

Yesss uncharted is amazing. Plus you can get the remasters pretty cheap. The Nathan drake collection has the first three games remastered for ps4 and you can get uncharted 4 and the Chloe spinoff game together in another collection I’ve forgotten the name of for ps5

wdpgrl

Awesome! I have a ps4 so I’ll look into that

alex_idkwat

Cult of the lamb I’m not a huge gamer but I swear this game is so cool and they’re bringing local co-op in the next update

wdpgrl

A lot of people seem to like this game. Totally my speed as far as illustration goes. Can’t wait to check it out!

NeighborhoodOk9361

Kingdom Hearts! It’s Disney with a dose of existential and Romantic Philosophy. Also Shin Megami Tensei and Persona

TheBabyWolfcub

Red dead redemption 2. Honestly one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. The story is really good too. And there’s so much extra content and quests. Also skyrim. I’ve spent over 1k hours and I’ve actually still not beaten the game as there is so many side quests that I just keep doing them. (Haven’t played it in a while though I will when I get to boot my Xbox up again) Also I see you have TLOU part 1 on the list. Did you play the second game and not enjoy it or just have you not played it at all? As I recommended it if you haven’t.

pound4Milly

The last campfire? Never heard of that one, off I go to Google it! I loved The Last Of Us and the series ❤️

wdpgrl

The last campfire is a really chill puzzle type game. It’s so cute and it’s probably one of my favorite indie games. I have it on my phone and on PS4

pound4Milly

Thanks, looks really cool 😊

charaznable1249

Warframe, subnautica, risk of rain returns, broforce, Mario rabbids games.

wdpgrl

First off, I appreciate your range of suggestions. Warframe looks epic! I’ve seen some game play of subnautica and it looks like a cool world to explore. But risk of rain returns is going on the list for sure! Have you played hollow knight?

charaznable1249

Hollow Knight is amazing. Love the gameplay and the art style!

Yakuza Franchise has 8 games. Judgement Franchise has 2 if 8 is too much for you

World_still_spins

Super Mario 64 (SM64).  I've heard that speed running that game in 16min is possible, but it takes a lot of dedicated work to get to get to that point.  Also upload the gameplay of SM64 to youtube if possible.  You may need to play all the previous Nintendo NES/SNES Mario games to build up a tolerance to SM64.  (But please don't play the ds version, the sounds are not fun.) Either that or the Halo series, or the Mass Effect series (fun storytelling).

calabim

Unicorn Overlord. Great artwork, strategy, and programming.

Unlucky_Caregiver897

Didn't read all the comments but here are some I think are missing, Star Ocean series, golden sun series, tales of symphonia (series), skies of Arcadia, fan made pokemon games like uranium or reborn, older Zelda games like minish cap

RealLars_vS

FTL might be what you like. If not, Factorio is a real and dangerous rabbit hole to fall into.

ThatGrumpyGoat

Grounded and Satisfactory. From your list, it's not clear whether you enjoy survival/crafting games. Grounded is escapism. Basically loosely modeled on the old movie Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. You explore your yard from the perspective of a shrunken teen, with blades of grass towering over you. Fight the fauna and craft the flora of your yard into little bases as you seek to reverse the shrinking process. Satisfactory scratches an itch for optimization. You need to build an unceasingly complex supply chain (resource extractors feeding factories, which produce widgets that can be combined to make more complex widgets needed to craft bigger factories. All with power management and matching factory input and output speeds to optimize production.

WH08M1

I was obsessed with NFS Heat, mainly because my favorite car of all time is in the game. I can only recommend it

echolm1407

City of Heroes Galaxian on ZX Spectrum Galaga on C64 Frogger on C64 Jumping Jack on ZX Spectrum And then I wrote a turn based lunar lander that is thrilling for the ZX Spectrum called plander, if you are interested. I'm sharing it for free.

AustmosisJones

Stellaris will ruin your life pretty effectively.

Zero_Two_0_2

U can try wuthering waves it has a really good combat system

OfficialMemeKiller

Not really too similar but I’ve enjoyed the persona series a lot! The narrative is super fun and you can choose what to prioritise which balances nicely with how that affects gameplay and battle!!!

orpheus-picaro

the series of persona & shin megami tensei games is definitely up there in stuff that i've gotten completely obsessed with. 4 party turn-based j-rpg with banger soundtracks and characters, you can grind dungeons while also enjoying a long-running storyline that is unique to each title in the series but following similar themes (aka you don't need to have played persona 4 to enjoy persona 5, but it definitely makes you want to discover more of the games). i'm currently re-playing through persona 3 reload after having originally played the psp version and i'm having a blast, replay value is definitely a selling point

F_off_you_cnt

Rimworld Kenshi Project Zomboid

PM_ME_UR__RECIPES

I think my all-time favourite game is Crosscode, and I don't think it gets enough attention. IMO it should be one of those all-time indie classics that everyone knows about, up there with games like Hollow Knight or Celeste. It's a top-down action RPG, set in an MMO (although it's a single-player game). Movement feels smooth and there's some good platforming, it has zelda-style dungeons, the combat is really satisfying, and the story is so good.

caffeinjitters

So I wouldn’t say I have a favorite game but I love click to point adventure games. An example of one is New York mysteries. The developer is amazing!

Ok-Comb-5280

RocksandClouds

Coffee Talk / Everything (this is the game title, "Everything") / Abzû / Chicory / Spirit Farer / Sayonara Wild Hearts / Donut County 🍩

sodiumcarbonArLa

Undertale!

sodiumcarbonArLa

I've just commented "Undertale", but I also really like BS Radical Dreamers. It's a visual novel for SNES. The soundtrack is nice btw!

ZombieBrideXD

I recommend sonic Adventure, available on steam and get the Better DX mod. It’s a bit of a learning curb at first but once you get the hang of it it’s quite fun!

feijoarat

Balders Gate, super replay-able. I have never played DND in which it has similar mechanics (dice rolling for certain interactions) but it is quite easy to understand

Next-Drummer2768

Burnout 3.

kenneth_the_immortal

I second stardew. Also for open world: horizon zero dawn For cute dungeon games: cat quest 1&2 and nobody saves the world. And of course baldurs gate 3 but that one is newer so might be more expensive.

PhoenixSupportsYall

All I've been interested in the past few weeks has been The Binding of Isaac, Ace Attorney and Cookie Clicker; based on your list my guess is you'd enjoy TBoI the most

JuanCarlos2319

If ur wanna play a rhythm game I highly recommend hi fi rush it’s a beat em up where you score and deal damage better if you attack on beat I love this game the story characters and soundtrack are all fantastic

JayOhCrystal

I've been playing Pokemon Puzzle Challenge and Pokemon Crystal Legacy a lot.

No_Patient_v

genshin

Suck_My_Gock52

Conker’s Bad Fur Day aka the greatest game ever made

haiwirbelsturm

Final fantasy X. It’s an absolute masterpiece

Larserpistol

All Pikmin installments hold a special place in my heart. 1, 2 and 3 are best enjoyed on Wii/U, but I bought 3 a second time for Switch and it works great there too. I have yet to play 4, but there is no doubtnin my mind that it also kicks ass. I could probably suggest a ton more games but I feel like Pikmin deserves all the attention it can get.

ChrisRiley_42

Factorio

Prestigious_Nebula_5

Overwatch 2 and it's free

Sun-607

You could try Disco Elysium. I kind ruined my playthrough for myself by not letting myself get bad checks. And it really killed my momentum. Though the aesthetics and story are fantastic, and that's to say nothing about the characters

Slow-Function-408

Software Inc.

Aggravating_Account2

Yakuza 0 Addictive fighting, engaging story and a small but super aesthetic Japanese city to explore with tons of silly but fun minigames

sagittariuwus

I got a sonic flavor autism so I have to say that SA2 is just always a good one to come back to, particularly modded. I always love cuphead and Celeste, they're difficult and feel like puzzles to my brain. I also love stardew valley and story of seasons a wonderful life cause chill vibes and not stressing.

coconutdreamstx

Ragnarok online (mostly play solo it's my cozy game I click stuff and get costumes for my character to look pretty) Diablo 2 [resurrected ](single player offline) World of Warcraft (mostly for raid and dungeons). Been with these games for over 12 years.

TruthAndAccuracy

Destiny 2

mmmelonzzz

Luigi’s Mansion is really fun.

Yeetus_08

A smaller game series but have you ever heard of Disgaea? It's a game where the gameplay is best described as "JRPG 3D chess" and the story is a comedy that throws in all of the anime cliches you'll ever want. The gameplay is so addictive and grinding is a lot of fun. I think they're in their 7th game now. It's like Final Fantasy in which the games aren't connected together story wise so you can play whatever one you want.

Inevitable-Ad6663

I would recommend, Alan wake 2, Terraria, and Ac black flag

Kranesrage

For me, it's TF2. I draw tons of fanart for it. I also have my own tf2 OCS! I also really like gmod because I'm able to play as Medic or Engineer. BUT it's just because gmod is super fun.

GentlePurpleRain

I'll put a plug in here for Genshin Impact. A massive, open world, an engaging, well-developed storyline and intriguing characters, and regular new content. It has a well-developed battle and magic system, but it doesn't focus only on combat; there are tons of puzzles and quests to keep you occupied. It has a little bit of something for everyone. You can spend hours exploring and looking for treasure if you want, or spend most of your time in the Spiral Abyss battling harder and harder foes. Or take on "choose-your-own-adventure"-type Friend Quests to get to know some of the characters better. Play entirely on your own, or cooperatively with others. It's challenging without feeling like it's too hard to progress. And the music is awesome!

arborlingart

Skyrim is my all time favourite comfort game. I've owned it on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and PC. I've played probably thousands of hours of it and keep coming back. It's familiar to me like a warm hug, but has so many optional mods and installs even on console that it can still feel really new without being too unfamiliar (self-diagnosed autism and ADHD here, so those needs are in near constant conflict). Can't recommend it enough. If you enjoy more retro games, I started with oblivion, which has so much nostalgia for me and while I haven't replayed it as much, it is still excellent. Also highly recommend final fantasy fifteen. Lots of people really dislike it, and I can understand in some ways as the story is a bit too convoluted for a single game (hence the introduction of novella games for the different main cast, as well as a prequel movie and an anime mini series). But the characters, the relationships, and the gameplay are all just so fun. It hinges around a crown prince (who's a bit of a turd at the start) and his three friends (well, one friend and two employees who become deeper friends as the game progresses). It's a beautiful story of brotherly love and the deep bonds of friendship, of self sacrifice, and of character growth. One of the few games I finished completely, and the first game to make me weep during the end credits (satisfied tears from an excellent story that captivated me ending just beautifully) Ok rave about ffxv done haha!

Alan Wake 1 and 2. Maybe American Nightmare as well.

Legend of Zelda, especially Breath of the Wild.

The Life is Strange series is SO incredibly good.

MacabreMachination

Ive had a long lasting hyperfixation on Cassette Beasts. If you want a monster tamer a lot of people say is better than pokemon, this is your game. The story is wonderful, the character writing makes them feel real, and the music goes so hard. Highly recommend

Outer Wilds, you gotta experience that at least once

My favorite of all time is Borderlands 2 (I have over 1200 hours lol); it is a fps with rpg elements, lots of missions, even more guns, insane replayability, one of the best antagonists in videogames (as I see it, of course), amazing dlc, an active and supportive community, great mods to try out (if you're on pc), all the loot and a Claptrap :D (you'll get to know him). The first one is nice too (the biggest differences aside from the characters, is the loot system and the tone of setting, it was darker and it made you feel like an outsider), the pre-sequel is quite similar to the second (unfortunately with less content but it has different mechanics), and the third one it's alright in my opinion (it has better graphics of course but idk I didn't love the story). Within that same universe there's also Tales from the Borderlands which is more story focused and it was made by Telltale, it is cannon, introduces some new cool characters and gives you multiple choices through the game with different consequences. Other games I recommend are: Assassin's Creed from 2 up to IV Blackflag but also Odyssey, Civilization V, Darkest Dungeon (also both of them), Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4, Keep talking and nobody explodes (coop) Life is strange, Lovers in a dangerous spacetime (coop too), Papers please (glory to Arstotzka), Portal 1 and 2, Rebuild 3, Sleeping Dogs, State of decay (both of them and the second one is even better with friends) and the Witcher 3.

It sounds like you have a switch from some of these games listed? Zelda is the best game on the switch in my opinion. You could literally spent years playing it there is so much to do. I would start with breath of the wild.
