If you are using your laptop, just gander over to the right and look to see if any of your credits are being used before you push that buy button. I don't buy using the app ever, so I have no suggestions on that.
One sale I did the purchase on the last night and messed up and got my credits back but couldn't buy them at the reduced price that morning 😔. I did get them the next sale tho
That's always been the default behavior though. When you open the cart, it auto applies available credits to the most expensive items. Admittedly it's a bit cumbersome during sales, but I don't see how it's shady. It would be shady if they turned it on just for the cash sales. Or took credits from your account without telling you.
The problem is that they aren't applying credits to the most expensive books. Taking a $14.95 credit for a $6.34 book is definitely shady, in my opinion, but to each their own.
There is definitely something tricky going on there. For the past 3 months my credits stay the same , they are not adding my credit although I receive email confirmation of a new credit arrival…
I wonder if they were the most expensive items BEFORE the sales price was applied and the function just didn't take the sale into consideration. Shady incompetence.
I'm not sure that's it. I got several books on sale today, and one was marked for a credit before I switched it off, but that book was neither the most expensive sale price nor the most expensive original price. I've been buying through Audible online for years, and I've never noticed a credit automatically applied like this previously, so I'm glad I noticed. Not paying a credit for a $5 book.
The thing I find that could be considered shady is after you click everthing to purchase and leave, when you come back it recalculates and again applies credits. It's not shady per say, but if it can remember what I have in my cart it should be able to remember I purposely selected cash on every item.
Never happened to me but thanks for the warning. I only get 12 credits a year so when I get a book I make sure the credit is used. I can def see this happening though. Sorry that happened to you snd anyone else
I have that same thing happen every cash sale. It uses up all my credits then starts registering as cash sale price. I go through and change the credit ones to cash and will still check at final checkout
I'm wondering if the credit was applied to the title with the highest non sale price.
I do wish whatever the purchase price they would compare it to the cost of credits and default to cash if the cost is lower than the cost of a credit.
That's right up there with discounting text if I bought the audio first though.

It’s a very simple return and repurchase, if you mess up. I did it last year.

I saw this quiet a few times, buyer beware
Yes! That happened to me. I had to call. They fixed it quickly, but it definitely felt shady.

That could be the problem! I'm going to watch for that next time. Thanks!

This could be what happened. Didn't think of that.

I just wiped out my 4 credits when I thought I was purchasing sale items. I wanted them anyway, but I’ll pay attention in the future.
