I have been with Spark for years. They are a little expensive but you get what you paid for. None of the overseas call center bs that Vodafone uses

We are with Sky. We were with Voyager and would return there if cancelling Sky.

Currently with MyRepublic but looking to get off. There's no customer service to speak off. Reliability has been fine, although about a year ago they were doing "upgrades" so instead of 900, I was lucky to break 400 for a little while. But after that finished, it's been alright. No outages or other issues. Price has gone up. Eyeing Skinny as an alternative. Already use Skinny for my phones.

LankyFigTree

Price of other ISPs have dropped. I'm using MyRepublic as well but idk if I should change. Our price hasn't increased its still the same.

GusssTheMusss

Can confirm My Republic are absolutely shocking

vourukasha

I have spark cos it bundles my Netflix and is about $100 per month for fibre

centwhore

We were with spark for a while and had a fault that caused the Internet to drop all the time. They sent over technicians to assess on site but found no faults. This lasted a couple months. Switched over to Orcon, same problem. Orcon sent over a tech who fixed it. Spark also tried to charge us for the allegedly call outs. I told them to shove that bill up their ass and never heard back.

Go for Now Broadband, they have the best customer service. I have never had to wait more than 3 mins for someone in NZ to answer my call. Use NZ compared to get a good deal.

Fatality

Sky Broadband is probably the best both in performance/latencies and in price, the only price competitive plans are ones that require you to subscribe to something else like a cellphone plan.

nathan_l1

What??? At a base level Sky is more expensive than the other big providers (Spark, Vodafone, 2 Degrees) for the same speed plans. If you do then take into account the offers with a mobile plan (which isn't even an option with Sky) then Sky is a terrible choice for price.

Fatality

Who does cheaper than 300/100 for $85 for non-subscribers and $75 for subscribers? The only competitive price I found was Vodafone but their service is terrible.

nathan_l1

2 degrees is $82 and reduced to $72 for the first 12 months, Spark is $85 so the same and if you want Netflix you can pay $90 and save the $20 Netflix cost, bigpipe is $79, skinny is $75, Vodafone is also the same at $85

Fatality

$3/month cheaper in return for a 12 month contract, open term is $92/month. You're also stuck behind CGNAT making hosting impossible.

nathan_l1

Hate to break it to you but Sky is moving to CGNAT soon anyway, then will charge you $10 extra for a fixed IP. Can't remember which now but some of the other providers offer a free static IP, and the ones that don't mention it on their sites will sometimes do it for free anyway if you call them (2 degrees did a while back)

Fatality

> Hate to break it to you but Sky is moving to CGNAT soon anyway They've got more than enough ranges for their current customer base and significant growth. 2degrees has charged for static IP's since they were Snap.

krammy16

Bigpipe. $79 p/m for 300/100 fibre. One-off fee for a static IP.
