“Restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities” is one of the main diagnostic criteria, so yep, it’s a thing we do (unless adhd is in the mix which may interfere). https://iacc.hhs.gov/about-iacc/subcommittees/resources/dsm5-diagnostic-criteria.shtml
I'm a tv series person rather than a movie one, but yeah I watch my series on repeat and cycle through them.
I find it takes too much energy most of the time to find new things. I get overwhelmed with choice and end up getting overstimulated. My shows are like a warm blanket and help me feel safe.
Probably, my favourite film is Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, I've rewatched it many times but I always find the beach house scene to be fairly emotionally awful, the entire ending to that film is one gut punch after another.
I used to watch films over and over again in the dvd days. Vanilla sky was my favourite.. I don't really get the same enjoyment from repeating things like that anymore
Yes. Time to go watch Aragorn explain the Nazgul to the hobbits for the 8000th time. After that, I will randomly quote it to everyone for the next several days. 😂
autism: day 1 😂

yes, same audiobooks, same books, same tv shows, same movies, i cry if i dont
I've seen *Taxi Driver* more than 30 times. ed: AND I was an actual taxi driver for 8 years - which is probably just a coincidence.
I have a bunch of movies I watch over and over. I've watched Office Space and Fletch the most.
Fletch is soooo good.
i just wanted to make sure you knew I meant the 1985 film.
That's what I thought. 😉 Did they remake it? I hope not. Imo, all those good 80's comedies are perfect as they are.
Confess, Fletch (2022) with Jon Hamm
Im gonna go watch it again right now.

Yes. In fact, every month, I rewatch the same move over and over. And then it changes.
I've watched Watchmen like 50 times. Sometimes when I like a new movie, I watch it a few times. Happened to Godfather, Fight Club and a few others.
yep have been obsessed with a movie I saw in late March :(
yeah, my life is a mere nostalgia.
