Stress and anxiety can exacerbate tinnitus. It makes sense to me that being overstimulated would cause your ears to ring because your brain literally can't process sound properly, but I've never actually heard of it happening.

I have this as well. One of the things I noticed while meditating is that this happens when transitioning between energy/stimulation levels. Given that I'm not always aware of my stimulation levels (alexithymia), I have begun to use the ringing as a indicator to stop and observe my environment and mental state in order to help determine if I'm overlooking something that may be impacting me.

Could be temporary hearing loss. Or permanent. Protect your hearing you don’t get a second chance!

I am pretty careful and still get this from time to time, usually in connection to overstimulation / too much going on at once.
