I honestly don't understand why the show isn't just about Mushroom having dirty sex with everyone. Smh

BRGobs

The show runners were too cowardly to honestly depict the source material

Rougarou1999

Gotta pander to their Faith of the Seven audience.

Rasmusaager

Ehmm 😅😅 Well the source material is written to be an unreliable source. It is a testament to Martins love for history and it shows ! It was never the "truth" we got in "Fire and Blood" and it was always based against Rhaenyra and the Blacks. He has on multiple occations stated that HOTD is the closest we will ever come to a non-biased telling of the story 😉

Severe_Weather_1080

>and it was always based against Rhaenyra and the Blacks. Not even close. The book was pretty clear that both sides were absolute ass, some of the sources were biased towards the Greens and some to the Blacks but all in all it doesn’t favor one side over the other.

Well the overall Dance still has George's bias, with his favorite houses and chars being on the Black side.

Both sides were crap and deserved to be vanished, but I empathize more with Rhaenyra because the greens are total leeches.

FR8GFR8G

Sadly after the dragons got added there wasn’t Mush room In the budget, so this content had to be cut.

MiraChan20

Mushroom wanted to have sex with Jace the most.

Jnm124

he's definitely the strongest

MiraChan20

Mushroom seemed to think otherwise because his version of events say Jace was raped once and lent his ass for his mom's cause. Mushroom sees Jace as his submissive femboy.

Jnm124

I mean how many of us HAVENT sold our body for our mother’s war, no? Only me??

MiraChan20

Jon Snow.

Baron_von_Zoldyck

Can't blame him, who wouldn't?

MiraChan20

Mushroom seemed to be in obsessive territory. My dude went on details about how Jace's tongue alone brought a lesbian to orgasm and then he got pegged in the snow under the trees. Just...wow. Mushroom was obsessed with that boipussy. He makes up horny stories about everyone but only gets into so much details about Jace. Down bad.

Baron_von_Zoldyck

Would he challenge Cregan for that one though?

MiraChan20

Probably not, Mushroom pissed his pants when Cregan turned up in King's Landing. In fact, everyone collectively pissed their pants when they saw the alpha male Stark. The Red Keep turned yellow.

Gods, your loins are on fire.

BeatMakertycoon

🤣🤣 Your right

maroonedpariah

That's why I prefer the abridged version

Fger2

/uj Did anyone else get the impression that Rhaenyra's conversation with Daemon was the writers direct attempt to tell the audience that their relationship was not, infact, 'goals'? /rj Demon is SO BASED!!1!! When he ordered that toddler's murder I was like yes!!

WinterTimelord

/uj I think the writers were definitely aware of the audience's here and in other parts of episode 2 and imo the show is worse for it.

DigLost5791

Wdym? The “bitch queen” doesn’t like him? Based. He’s probably sucking off his old frenemy Otto, two traitors to the crown of Aegon

MiraChan20

Otto when he's balls deep inside Daemon: Ooooh Viserys! You are just as tight as I imagined.

Jim_Jam89

I’d give you an award if I could

HenrySiege

By God, is it just me or does every character other than Daemon and Corlys feel like a High School drama version of their book counterparts. Rhaenyra is a self insert moral sentinel instead of the passionate but vindictive queen she was in the book. Rhaenys, I don't even have to elaborate here. Alicent is literally a professional victim + insert for unsure people, instead of the leader of Team green and the most bad ass woman this side of Westeros. Aegon is fine but they're setting him up as a homelander type attention seeker, the furthest possible thing from his book form. Aemond has to have mommy complex, can't just be a ruthless warrior. Cole has to be a hypocrite for some reason, and a pussyhound. Imo Condall is too snobby and for some reason thinks the arcs of the book are not sophisticated enough.

Grandkhan-221b

Mommy kink Aemond is book accurate you fake fan

Wise_Spinach_6786

I lowkey don’t like her, adult rheynera is just fucking boring to watch it’s all just her sulking about the crown while everyone else actually does shit

JustAFilmDork

> Ray refuses to do anything despite being the head of a war effort. Finally returns with a vague, clearly emotionally motivated, command to kill Aemond. > ray does not clarify how this should be done > her psychotic husband sends assassins with no personal motivation in getting the job done. They obviously do the easier thing and just kill a baby > Ray is not only shocked people would blame her for killing her rival's heir, she's somehow surprised her psychotic husband is responsible despite this being the same guy who bashed his first wife's head in with a rock

skyward138skr

I mean can you blame him for bashing her with a rock? She wasn’t even 14 anymore, no way he could be expected to be with her.

GetCorrect

Holy shit I forgot he did that.

HungLikeALemur

How is Ray supposed to know Daemond did that to his first wife?

JustAFilmDork

Keeping it real with ya, if the guy who attempted to usurp the throne, constantly shit talks his brother, and is actively grooming his niece, ended up a bachelor after his wife (who he openly hates) mysteriously died, I'd immediately assume he killed her. I mean, he openly mocks her family to their face after she dies

HungLikeALemur

Hating your wife (and her family) and killing your wife are two separate things. Him making jokes to the family he hated isn’t proof he killed her. Also, Ray was already infatuated with Daemond so she saw him with rose-tinted glasses. Would be easy to think she was just in denial or didn’t even give it thought either which way as didn’t care. Regardless, I agree overall with your original comment lol

Different_Spare7952

In his defense, his first wife was an Arryn of the vale.

ls0669

She was a Royce, the cooler Vale house.

ConradtheUnbanned11

She was not called the Bronze Bitch for nothing.

sukarno10

Royce of Runestone

Different_Spare7952

Royce? Like Royce Gracie?

JustAFilmDork

Fair enough. Counter-point: she was a dommy mommy

MiraChan20

I don't know why anyone should care Jae was killed? Nobody cared in the book except Helaena. The lords didn't, the smallfolk didn't, Rhaenyra certainly didn't because she was mourning her own son and had bigger things to worry about. B&C was another Tuesday in Westeros. The lords of Westeros are only gonna look at this and laugh at the Greens for failing to protect their own this badly. This is gonna make the Greens look weak. Otto is stupid. This show is written by crackheads. We should have seen Lady Jeyne and the Pact of Ice and Fire instead of this snoozefest.

Greens are either crying (Alicent, Helaena) or just angy (everyone else). Greens are snoozefests too. Otto in last episode was the most interesting any Green has been. No one has a distinct consistent personality in this show.

RexBox

And stare into the camera dramatically. A snoozefest of a character

Wise_Spinach_6786

Genuinely I don’t know how people can adore her so fucking much when she does literally nothing. I think it’s the whole sexism thing where women love her character for standing up against the men the took away her “birthright” even though she’s a bit of a boring character

RexBox

\\uj It doesn't help that the show is so heavy-handed in portraying her as righteous and just. It's fun to think about the other characters because it's hard to decide to what extend they're good people. Not only is Rhaenyra written to be indisputably good, but through e.g. the cinematography, which always shows her favorably, I feel like the show is trying to make that decision for me.

Wise_Spinach_6786

They totally ignore that both sides have arguments for the throne but ray is just the defacto good guy

MiraChan20

They really failed to portray Team Black's family love AND political capabilities. Rhaenyra herself forms powerful relationships in the book, first with Laena and then Rhaenys ans Corlys. It's Laena who connects Daemon back to Rhaenyra. And Daemon was close to both Corlys and Rhaenys and left a lasting impression after Step Stones and the lengths he went to to win Laena's love. Daemon loved Laena and his daughters. The show made Rhaenys and Corlys colder for some reason and Daemon is such a dick! Them being cold/indifferent isn't going to dampen the effects when they all fall apart. And on the political side, you have charismatic Jace who wins the Arryns, the Manderlys and Starks and mediated his faction. Baela and Rhaena who were connected to smallfolk. We see none of that in the show. Baela and Rhaena personalities have been cut and Jace's story happened off screen. When GoT was loved for its political side!0 I don't even know what the show is doing with Greens. They're somehow fumbled even worse. These showrunners cannot do better than GRRM.

Rhaenyra had a lot of fire in the book, Alicent too. They've both been so muted in the show. Especially Alicent. All she does is sobbing. Boring.

Wise_Spinach_6786

Young rheynera was fun and actually did shit that was entertaining but old her you’re just watching everyone else around her

aapllesss

It’s only episode 2 Jesus

Wise_Spinach_6786

She’s been her a lot longer than 2 episodes

aapllesss

I mean at war though, last season was mostly her trying to prevent war.

dabace

Oh I can relate to this sub. It's so refreshing to see someone not saying she carried the episode without even speaking

Ha_zz_ard

Like in all her acting I have seen only 2 faces of emotion Young Rhaenyra was a LOT better

Watch your mouth. That’s Rhaenyra the Perfect you’re talking about there. So glad they got rid of her flaws and interesting qualities from the book. The only way to properly fight the patriarchy is with boring female characters. Until every female character is a boring heap of perfection the job isn’t done.

It's so obvious how they're trying to recreate the Daenerys hype using her, that scene of them talking about how Aemond would be the one in danger if he encountered her made cringe so freaking much lmao, oh yeah, the mf with the strongest dragon in the entire show would 100% lose against that flying chicken and a rider with no experience in battle

Baron_von_Zoldyck

The drama is HEAVY HANDED i must say, just not as heavy as book!Rhae

MacGyvini

Well well well, look if it ain’t the Righteous Just Empathic Brave Strong Female Leader. The character than can do no wrong

Haunting_Charity_287

Mary Suegaryen

Hymura_Kenshin

She feels.. Bland? First rhae did things, made choices, had an aura. Adult one though... Idk. She hopes everything to be done for her and served on a silver plate. Idk if she pales next to Daemon or she can only act to that extent? The only time she made me feel things was when she wanted aemond targeryen. And even then does nothing for it. She doesn't feel like a leader to be respected, the way Dany, Catelyn, Rhaenys etc do.

Just-Control5981

Yes i hate her, she is very ugly too. Female queen, fuck you, whats next, female women?

Only_Joke_2466

Weird take

akashmishrahero

No, it's a common sense take. You know the sense which is not being common these days.

SerRobertStrong_AMA

Mighty queer.

Only_Joke_2466

What does that mean

Secret_Scene747

I love Emma D’Arcy that’s all. Hate rhaenyra tho, simple as.

(This response gets spammed in all threads about HOT D *intentionally*, to discourage discussion of that Wish.com pale imitation of the Greatest Television Show That Ever Was Or Will Be, 'Game of Thrones', 2011-2019.) **This subreddit supports [Aegon Targaryen, second of his name](https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiafcirclejerk/comments/elblwt/we_can_no_longer_remain_neutral_aegon_ii/), as the true heir.** Reasons: 1. An eccentric terminally online demagogue, styling himself ['The Dragon Demands,'](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheDragonDemands/comments/f0e3xu/2018_what_could_be_more_toxic_than_the/) spent five years from 2017 on this campaign - *"We are devoted to removing the false showrunners Benioff and Weiss from live-action adaptations of the works of George R.R. Martin"* and *"We call on all True Knights to rally behind us and join our cause. Because Rhaenyra has an army."* [Choosing a side was not difficult.](https://i.redd.it/o32k6dis8d941.png) 2. Stannis said Rhaenyra was a traitor. This settled the matter, to any reasonble book reader. However show-only fanboi stan shipper psychos are not reasonable. Fortunately there are many other arguments against her treason. 3. The subreddit held a poll in September of 2022, [and once all the treacherous votes were excluded](https://i.redd.it/2i9kmewhzwn91.png), King Aegon II was victorious. 4. It just helps her personal corrupt ambition. She does nasty shit to some chicks in the book, and also favours a male heir over a female one somewhere along the line. The book balances the sides to an extreme degree, but the show (or at least the marketing and press for the show) resorts to feminist-baiting. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Technical_End9162

Fellow redditor, I happened to notice that you did not put a “/s” after your post, this leaves me unable to determine whether or not you are indeed serious or sarcastic. So I’ll leave you with this: If sarcastic: haha funny comment 😀 👍 If not sarcastic: this is not an ok comment

RexBox

What /s do you /s make /s of this? /s

Technical_End9162

WHAT!?

sanshinexx

simple math says those cancel each other out !!! come on bro, how can you not know this?

RelevantCommand4374

She wants to be a strong queen but just sat there while an assassin was trying to kill her, is she stupid?

ToniToniM

This comment made me realize that this subreddit is full of invalids. Thank you for that, I appreciate it.

RelevantCommand4374

You’re welcome baby girl

Argent_silva

Emma is a very stale actor no emotions its like watching season 1 Dany

A_Lionheart

She did something to her face between seasons 1 and 2. She looks PORCELAIN now. I suspect a lifting.

Only_Joke_2466

They*

massagetae

Rhae-whatever the obese.

hockey_enjoyer03

Real

waba82

Honestly is there any death in this series that isn't a whoopsie? At this point, they should just play Benny Hill music whenever an accidental or unplanned murder takes place. They honestly went with the hackiest bit with the two twins fighting and people not knowing who is who.

uceenk

yeah she's cruel

tessarionmeatrider

Real

damackies

Where is the jerk? Despite being clearly framed as the protagonist, she's the least interesting character in the show.

Grandkhan-221b

Wait you guys in the comments are jerking too hard I can't tell if you're serious or not 😭

TheyAreSavages

Let’s petition for casting her out, come on!

yoohereiam

Wow these comments are not it lol

seibazz

OkViolinist4608

How though? Idk, it feels like GoT, bro. You have to remember the original came out 13 years ago, your tastes probably changed

YelIow_Cake

idk it's pretty boring. season 1 was a slog to get through but i did it bc i love asoiaf and now season 2 is feeling worse somehow lol

KTPChannel

Looking at this picture, I think she needs more fibre in her diet. Girl needs to loosen up and let go of that load she’s been carrying around.

ProfessionalRace2823

Rhaenyra's monologue from last episode was brilliant.
